Two scriptures come to mind:

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

And regarding the masses who watch such deception:

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

That's why the way is narrow. I believe more people will be saved during the millennium than now. Those saved now are the select few that will rule and reign with Christ. Many are called, few are chosen.

Jesus Saves

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25

23 years ago I was on a beach board walk in Hollywood Fl not far from TBN's main station holding up a sign crying out against TBN for promoting doctrines of devils . . . . it was amazing how hostile their supporters could get.

I agree with the OP, and it makes me sad to see the promises made. Also the sets and the costumes and hairdo's of the presenters.

I watched Hinn fly into a gathering in Nigeria in a chopper, and then be transported in a caravan of silver Hummer's to the "revival".

I then watch people in the audience (no congregation this), ready themselves so that when he waved his hands, everyone fell down and started having some sort of fit on the ground.

This damages the church in oh so many ways.

What can we, as believers do? We can't have the same platform has they do, they are too big.

We can pray against this abomination. And we need to be careful of directing new believers away from the worst and toward the best.

Angus Buchan for instance. He preaches in a field, with his farmers hat on and his bible clutched under his arm. And he preaches pure (sometimes it stings...) gospel. And asks for nothing except that one follows Jesus.

Wish there were more like him.

I don't see what the issue is about pointing out when an organization is preaching "another" gospel, as Paul said. Heresy is heresy.

How about these, do they remind you of that too?

Ro 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren,
mark them
which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned
; and avoid them.

Ac 13:8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation)
[marked by name]
withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

Ga 2:11 But when Peter
[openly rebuked and mentioned/marked by name]
was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

2Ti 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith
[marked by name]
did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

15 Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

i'd agree with you.. if they were actually living and preaching the gospel, instead of this disgusting deceit they indulge in.

So . . . is anyone actually being edified by this conversation?

Is it building up anyone's faith?

Spurring anyone towards love and good fruit?

Anything excellent or praiseworthy to "think on" with this?

If not, how would we make it this way?

there are some wonderful examples of people publishing the true gospel, but sadly are overlooked. i find comfort that the Lord knows those who are His. we can't change things, but He can. it's good that we can pray.

I am being encouraged not to follow false teachings which edifies His truth in me. Where would the love for our brothers and sisters in us be if we did not warn them of what to watch out for and to stay away from? Being silent when truth should be spoken is not showing love or bearing good fruit.

John 4:24

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
