I dont get it. Normally I dont rail on these post about politics and I work hard to stay out of that topic in my 'Examiner articles' but I dont get it. Someone please explain it to me. Barak Obama in his speech, just the other day, now believes that Israel should return to it's pre- 1967 borders, reducing the country to just about 9 miles wide. What would they get in return for this dramatic consession? A country both the north and West end of its borders governed by Hamas, the PLA's version of Al Quida. This at a time, when these 'thugs' are launching rockets into Israel and killing children riding on a school bus. Please help me understand. Ariel Sharon stood at West Bank settlements with a bullet proof jacket, after having agree to dismantle jewish settlements. His body guards were afraid he would be shot by an angry Jewish settler! He asked for only peace in return. The people of the PLA's response? They elected Hamas to run the country. Israel agreed to pull out of Lebanon years early, when they had their foot on the Lebanese throat. Their requirement? That the UN would ensure that Hezbolah did not take up residence in the land they left. Some 15 years later, had to return to root Hezbolah out of the very place they vacated.

How many times do you get slapped in the face, lied to. How many times do your woman and children come home in body bags before it is recognized that you have a right to defend your country! How many more hollocusts must happen before as a world we understand that these people have a basic right to exist! This administration's middle east policy is lunacy! Complete lunacy! Please help me to understand what this President is thinking?! Had to get that off my chest.

If Obama believes this, then we should return to the original 13 colonies, which were Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Virginia, returning the rest of the US to the Native Americans. The problem is there really is no solution to the Mid-East problems.

Obama calls on Israel to give up even more land, even after giving up Gaza was a complete disaster, thinking this will appease the Palestinians.

Obama calls on the Palestinians to recognize Israel as a legitimate state, thinking this will ease the fears of the Israelis.

Problem solved, right?

Wrong. Israel cannot feel safe with Hamas, Syria, Iran, now Egypt, etc. speaking of how much they want to get rid of Israel and the Jews.

The Palestinian leadership will never acknowledge the legitimacy of Israel.

Everyone agrees that the people who call themselves Palestinians (they were not called that a half-century ago) need a home. But no one can or will give this to them. As Netanyahu pointed out, Israel gave home to the Jewish refugees from Arab lands. But none of the Arab lands gave home to the Arab refugees from Israel/Gaza/West Bank/Golan Heights.

In the movie Boys Town, Father Flanagan understood that the best way for boys to deal with their conflicts is to let them duke it out - but in a controlled environment (in this case, in a boxing rink with gloves and teeth guards).

Swallow it up, the only way this is going to get resolved is for the parties to duke it out.

Now Israel has shown their ability and desire to restrain as much as they can to prevent casualties, even to dropping warning pamphlets on where they are going to bomb to give people a chance to escape - this at the expense of the element of surprise. I wouldn't be surprised if Israel could achieve their own peace if the international community would let them go. I know not all would agree with that. But anyone who believes negotiations are ever going to work . . . I'll just shake my head at them and leave it at that.

Correct me if I am wrong but no one actually knows with certainty what the Urim and Thummim were, but their first letters in Hebrew are the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

If our God had a breastplate of righteousness made, that cannot come loose from the ephod (28:28), and the ephod was worn by His chosen priests, and the breastpiece bears the names of the twelve tribes, and the breastpiece was made to bring the twelve tribes in regular remembrance before the Lord (28:29).

There will be tribulation yes, there will be suffering yes.

But any of mans meddling or ulterior motives against the word of God?

First of all the president said that the Palistinians would have to accept Israel as a Jewish state. Then when he said they would go back to the 1967 borders he also added that there would have to be equal territory swaps so as to ensure the defensability of both Israel and Palistine. He also said that he (and the US) would never stop being friends and helping Israel.

he also knows that the way the arabs are breeding that at some point in the near future there will not be any way to solve this peacefully....... and can not anyway unless the arabs accept Israel as a nation.

I am only Stating that the aribs are not native to the land as they claim. Also Palistinians do not exist ad a race. Up until 1948 all people that lived in the region Jew or Arab or British were all deemed "Palistinian" just like it does not matter where your race cane from if you grow up on the states and are a citizen you are an American. Arabs do exist as a race outside of Palistine with there own states etc. This is nonsense. Also Ther were many Jew still living there before the statehood and return of Iseral as a nation. Oh, I understood your reasoning and actually agree with it, but I was just making a comparison to what Obama suggested to Israel, as doing the same here, which he would never do. When you did not see this comparison, you took away from what I said, so I also did the same back. I apologize for this.

I personally believe that Israel should include all of Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank, not just where they are now. I also believe that the Arab nations are using these people who call themselves Palestinians as a wedge to topple Israel, which will never happen. If the Arabs really considered them their bothers and sisters, they would ask them to come home where they belong. If they decide not to leave, then they must accept Israel as a nation and accept the ruling government which was created when Israel became a nation under the UN charter. This whole partitioning of Israel is an abomination in Gods eyes since God gave this land to His people.
