This may be true today, "The truth is that the most hated people on the face of the earth are the Messianic Jews! ", however, in time all of us who stand up for Jesus, will be taking their place on that most hated list.

This would mean that by then Gentile Christians stopped persecuting the Messianic Jews.

I guess I live in a dream world where Christians accept other people that say they beleive in Christ Jesus and really behave in a matter that seem to prove their statement as fact.

The term "Messianic Jews" is new to me, this being the first time I've read or heard about it.

The real people which the term covers, is a different story. When I was a child in the third grade, I walked to school and passed by a little general store that was owned by a couple that were in fact Jewish people. I came to know these people and the fact that they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I also learned that the jewish people in our fair city turned their backs to them because of their believe in Jesus. The Jewish people helped each other in times of trouble but did nothing to help the people I knew. When Rosa fell down and broke her hips, I felt a need to help them out, so I started working at the store before and after school. These people believe that Jesus was the Savior that was foretold in the Bible for the Jewish Nation. They were good Christains and from what I could see were good Jews as well. I know that my church at the time accepted them and only their church rejected them. Just like the Bible says would happen when we all come to Him, the world will reject us all, in time.

Just my thoughts on the subject.

Dennis

There is nothing new under the sun~

The messianic jew was hated and persecuted by other Jews in the first century....and then completely ostracised and rejected by the so-called "church" in the early centuries

This is how the Body of Messiah lost it's Jewish heritage and became a greek religious organization. Change began in 1967 and is slowly emerging...but there is always room for a broader and quicker acceptance of the Remnant of Israel from the christian community.

I agree with your historical assessment of this issue. However despite Christ moving with other people there has always been a remnant of God people Jews and Gentiles all over this world. So says His word so I know it is for sure the truth. One of the prophets, I don't recall which one right now, said long ago that he was the only follower of God left and he was begging for God to kill him. God told him he was wrong and that there was a remnant in Jerusalem along numbering 1000 that had never worshiped an idol. If there were 1000 people in one place that long ago how many more were there in other places? God has always had His people scattered all over the world, like salt, flavoring life for all the lost souls that wander through this world.

Agreed, but I didn't propose otherwise in the first place so I'm not why that is relevant? I don't assume that there weren't saved jews or gentiles in the earth at any time.

All I said was that the actual and legitimate remnant of Israel was "cleansed" out of the so-called "church" in the early centuries. The "church" has been practically juden-frei since the Nicean Creed because it was mostly so by the 3rd-4th centuries already. I can only find 2 or 3 of the so-called "early church fathers" who were not virulently anti-semetic. This, though the one commandment Yeshua proposed was "love one another as I have loved you".

And we wonder why there are so many denominations and errors today???

.

No you said that they lost their Jewish heritage and that is not the case thus the detailed reply. But if we agree then there is no reason to debate the issue is there?

Running to catch the bus, the driver sees you and arriving in front of the door the driver closes the door and the bus leaves. In other times would have liked to to kill the driver from hate but nowdays pray and forgive.

What Jewish elements remain in the Church?

Is Saturday the Sabbath?

Do we celebrate the Feasts of the Lord?

Sure, the Apostles taught Gentiles don't have to follow Kosher laws, become circumcised, have to rest on the Sabbath, and such - but they never mentioned changing the day of the Sabbath nor ceasing to celebrate the Feasts of the Lord.

Good Discussion

Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1 Peter 1:10-13

Why If My Bible Was Written Down By Jews Are There So Few If Any Believing Jews Left In Churches Claiming To Worship The God Of Abraham, Isaac And Jacob....

What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. Romans 3:1-2

And Why Do So Many Christians Seem To Forget They Are Worshiping The Christ, Forever A Jew By Birth....

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

[And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. Matthew 1:18-25

But Instead Seen To Take Every Opportunity To Make Their Stand With Killers Forming Up Against Zion And Her Children....

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. Psalms 2:1-6

I love Messianic Jews, but I have noticed that many groups that claim to be Messianic twist torah with grace, and also separate themselves from the rest of the body because Christians are not following torah. I have lost many friends who went down that road also, and it's really sad. I think it's a demonic spirit because I have seen the same manifestation in many believers. It starts with superior knowledge and pride in knowing the jewish roots and torah and then they start thinking other Christians are not of the body because they are not torah obervant, then further down that road, they end up rejecting Pauls letters, and their salvation becomes works based instead of grace, then further down that road rejecting the Messiah. These groups I believe cause the most separation between Messianic and Christians, on one side Christians are rejected because they are not torah observant, on the other side Christians see these groups and believe all messianics are like that and therefore, stay away. The Holy Days, and the sabbath are a blessing to observe, and really enriching to my faith, but they have no effect on my salvation. I am saved through Christ alone, and my righteousness is based on His righteousness instead of my own.

Hi Josh! So many who come to beleive that Torah has not been nailed to the cross take many routes, some become those over zealots who preach nothing but Torah and forget that faith and grace comes first and takes the prominate place in our lives and hearts. Some will just not stop screaming how the mainstream church is 'pagan' sometimes I just sit here and scream out of frustration. For most of us though know full well what brought us into His grace and gives us our salvation and its not Torah. Torah is instruction on how to live our lives but only that comes through the help of the Holy Spirit and not of our own doing. Works can only come about if one is saved through Him, works is really just our service to Him in whatever form He calls us to do. And then you get those who take things way too far and come to the conclusion they need to stop believeing in Yeshua! and join themselves to Judaism. I have been around this movement a long time and have seen a lot of weird stuff!

shalom,

Mizz

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
