Man was created to have companionship, not only in Marriage.

Sin broke two relationships. man to God and man to man or human relations.

Looks liks this;

man

man + man

The realtionship broken was parallel on both planes vertical and horizontal.

Sin was total and complete in its effect on relationships.

God has come not only to redeeem and restore the broken relationship between man and God, but also between man and man. God created us familial creatures and not only in the direct way of family but as children of God. Remember sins effect was total so that all of mans relationships were effected.

The plan of God was to redeem man unto Himself so that there could be a restoration of what was truly lost. That restoration is not only the fellowship and relations of God to man, but also between mankind itself. That does mean Marriage yet it is not the only part of human relationship.

When we come into the family of God there are two relationships going on. God and man and man and man.

Grace to you,

Can anyone explain what we were redeemed for?

Peace,

Dave

Well for me I was redeemed from Death to Life, I was redeemed from being a slave to sin, to a state of being able to say no to sin when I choose, I was alone and I was redeemed into the family of the Lord Jesus. So the person sitting next to me on that pew is my brother and sister in Christ. I was in the pit of Hell and He reach down and redeemed me, so that I could tell others of my new life and let them know that they to, could be saved, if they just believe in Jesus.

Sometimes a stranger is only a Friend you have not met yet, would you tell your friend something that could save their lives.

If we are reconciled back to God then the restoration of our relationships will follow. Can't say the world will follow but those we fellowship with, our families and such will benefit directly when we come into a right relationship with Him. I love the imagery of the tav, the nails that pierced Yeshua as the link between us and God only through Him. I'm posting of the fly so sorry if thats a repeat!

Nope, not at all sis and thanks for sharing.

What I'm wondering is what the implications of this revelation are to the OP and some of the comments on Church.

As I grow more and more in my relationship with Christ, I've began to notice that Religion is totally wrong. It's roots are fine, I'm fine with being able to go and fellowship and learn about God but it's not all that Christ wanted us to do. This message is going to be short and sweet because I don't want to seem like I know it all, because I don't. But if you look at Matthew 28:16-20 you'll see what Jesus wants us to do as believers (This scripture is after Jesus had risen from the dead and came to meet up with the disciples).

"16 Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.

17 When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted!

18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

How many churches do you know, teach, then tell them to go! I think if the church was biblical you wouldn't have many people in the church pews on Saturday or Sunday because they'd be out spreading the word.

This just some food for thought. Again I'm not saying going to church is bad, I'm just saying the way we do things sometimes isn't biblical.

For every hungry believer there comes a time when they will need more than just fellowship with other believers. They will wait before the Lord for that longing in their heart to know Him and to be satisfied. The Holy Spirit gives the hunger to know our Father and only our Father Himself can fill it. No amount of service, study, church attendance or even obedience can fill the void of wanting to know your Father.

Contrary to what others may say you need to do to fill your soul only your love for the Father and the indwelling Christ will ever complete a believer.

You have said right, the church is a body of believers made up of bonified offspring of God which have been birthed by the Father, the birthing takes place the moment you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, no other way to salvation. That simple act on the Part of the Father is what we will spend the rest of our lives trying to figure out.

The church building is the place most are born again, they attend usally by an invitation from a friend or family member and they answer the call. The gathering together in a building has become the church to many, we referr to it as church and even feel guilty if we dont attend or miss a service but the church is really just another way the Father use's all things for His glory, its a womb for birthing His own children. Modern church building can not take a believer into the deep things of God, they have wonderful men and women who run them and love God but they can never take the place of your Father and they will in time have to give up their grip on you so you can move on in the Lord.

Its a shame that most that follow on to know the Lord will do this on their own, they will though in time meet other like minded believers that our Father cross's our path with. Those that trust the Father in solitude in time can be trusted with a deeper understanding of the things of God. Gal 4:1-2, your Father is not going to open up your mind until you are ready and the governors and tudors (circumstances and situations) have done there work in your life.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
