Would you spent the night in the world's most "haunted" building?

The topic of Ghost's has become so predominant today and as Christians how are we to answer such things if someone in the world (a lost person) ask up what we believe.

I don't believe the departed lost or saved linger upon the Earth, for the Christian we have this verse (quoted from memory), to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

We have heard of people who had died and tell of seeing their loved ones in their room or out in the hallway.

I don't believe in Ghost, but I wouldn't stay in the most haunted place in the world. As Christians I don't believe that we should watch programs about hunting for Ghost. Also, we are restricted from talking to the dead or consorting with medium's or any such thing.

But is something going on?

What do you think?

What answer must we give for all of this?

Should I have started this thread?

I would. If Christ is for us, who can be against us? seriously. Its just a building, nothing more. Now, I might still have my .45 ACP handy just in case, but I tend to keep that handy no matter where I am. "haunted" buildings dont frighten me in the least bit. Bricks and mortar, and wood, thats all they are. There are no ghosts, I believe probably 90% or more of all "ghost" stories are either pranks, or peoples heads playing tricks on them, after all, if you tell yourself something exists over and over again, the mind will trick itself into actually seeing one. And the last 10% or less, are likely demonic activity. I am a christian, I dont believe in ghosts, so my mind wont be playing tricks on me, im not easily pranked, and if Christ is with me then I have nothing to fear from Demons. Therefore, a "haunted" house is no more then an empty building.

I agree 100%, Patriot; ghosts do not exist. Oh....remind me not to sneak up on you in an empty building, okay? :lightbulb2:

I think ghosts are demons pretending to be ghosts to steer people away from the Truth of the Bible. I feel the same way about aliens too, they are just demons pretending to be aliens to steer people away from the Bible. Funny how when people channel ghosts or aliens they never talk about Jesus, it's always about new agey type stuff. That should be a clue as to who they are and what their agenda is.

I don't know if ghosts exist or not, but I can tell you that in an area in building one at Tinker Air Force Base there is a phenomenon that gives one pause. Where I used to have to go service high speed printers was the morgue during World War II. I worked around this location for more than 20 of the nearly 40 years I worked in that business and I don't know of any person who worked nights there who did not have interfaces with something that appeard to be ghost activity. If they were demons, they played a great game with folks.

One could hear them talking, and one could see them (and when I say them sometimes 20 or 30 at a time). They would interact with people. I've had them steal my tools and move things around while you were standing there watching them. I've had at least ten to fifteen screw drivers just simply disappear to never be seen again. Vacuum cleaner parts go under the computer room raised floor across the room in a far corner was a favoriate trick for a couple of them.

It finally got so bad for me that I had to demand in Jesus name that they go away and leave me alone every time I had to work there.

One of the ladies that worked there would invite them to go home with her and spend a few days and she had some real tales to tell.... none of which I would believe except i was there and saw them for myself. i know at least 25 people who had the experiences and a few that quit and would not talk about it at all.

i don't know what they were/are, but they dressed in outfits and uniforms of the mid to late 1940's and had many different accents as though they were from all over. whatever it was/is i didn't like it at all, and try as I might, I could never make them go away completely, probably because too many people who worked around there didn't want them to.

To answer your question though, yes i have spent the night in a most haunted place....... many many times and got paid well to do so. And got my work done in spite of the critters...... whatever they were.

But I would add that when the people who worked there had to go out on deliveries and at two to three am when one was completely alone in the place, it got very unnerving at times. When you're setting in the floor shoulder deep in a printer and you look across the room and a stainless steel table comes rolling across a perfectly level floor at you, you just want to have a runaway.....

I certainly don't discount that.

I wouldn't stay in the most "haunted" place for the simple reason that my imagination would run rampant, I wouldn't get any sleep and I love sleep.

And btw it's perfectly ok with me if you don't believe a single word I just wrote, for I doubt I'd believe it myself had I not been there.

Just as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be again...... I personally believe that much more than just giving in marriage is meant by that verse.

Maybe I'm just nuts, but I'm still kind of spooked about Satan telling all the folks in the past that their gods would return on or about December this year.

Not that we should be worried to death about it........ but we've got some serious stuff to get through before the end that's not a cakewalk.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
