Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the effort that you all go through to post all of your info. Here are just a couple of questions/comments I have about some of the things people have said:

Sorry, I forgot to ask you a question, Brother Fribinator: Where did you get the idea satan has power?

How could Satan's power be denied? Look at how many Christian men are addicted to pornography, look at all of the sexual abuse that happens, look at all of the violence people commit, look at all of the corruption.

Gen 3:1

Now the snake was wiser than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.

don't think that ever single bad thing that tempts us comes directly from Satan. Most if it comes from our own personal selves and the nature that we have inside each of us.

We are natural sinners.....but I just hear so many people talking about how careful we need to be, because Satan is right around the corner, ready to throw another temptation at us, etc.......

When you say, "don't say that EVERY single bad thing that temps us comes from Satan", does that imply that there are some bad things that tempt us that DO come from Satan? If so, that brings me right back to the original question: How can Satan be omnipresent? Or does he just tempt one person at a time?

The devil is the father of lies who first murdered adam and eve with his trechery.

Joh 8:44

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Hold on a second, the Devil never killed Adam or Eve did he? He just tempted them to eat from the tree of knowledge right? I thought that Cain committed the first murder...

YES BUT, the lake of fire isnt' even being used or created... i dunno which one, UNTIL AFTER JESUS COMES AGAIN... i wish... christians would take the time to read the bible on these simple points.

So, you're saying that right now, Hell does not exist?? Does everyone else agree with that, or am I the only one who "did not take the time to read the bible on this simple point"?

Well, since Jesus said "ALL power in heaven and on earth..." belonged to Him, it is very difficult to see why you believe satan has power. Did Jesus lie? Whence then has satan this power?

Hell is the bible translation for Hades and Sheol. Both words mean "the grave".

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It is also from Geenna and tartaroo or something like that, genna.... meaning the firey hell that everyone talks about. The other word is where God locked up the fallen angels that came down and made whoopie with the daughters of men.'

This along with the other two that Tubal Cain referrs to gives three different things that Hell can mean.

So when you use the word hell, you should really explain which hell you are talking about, or it will confuse me and I'll confuse the thread and then where will you be..... :emot-questioned:

I think hell is pretty real; otherwise, what's the point in warning us about it?

In reference to Lake of Fire...

Rev 19:20 And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.

Rev 20:10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Re 20:14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

Rev 20:15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Replying to The Devil's power??

Your whole post on this subject is based in fables and man made stories handed down by the very evil that you are inquiring about.

The closest thing that you will find to a satan that has power would be pharos magicians. who turned their stafs into snakes.

The word satan is just that, a word, that means adversary, one who withstands.

in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

Ok... I am repeating myself here but...

Yes the devil tempts us

Yes indeed believeing the lies of the devil and acting on those lies killed adam and eve. Because death had not yet entered into the picture. But the warning of GOD that in the day that you eat you will surely die was carried out and death became part of GOD'S creation because of this sin. But remember a day to the LORD is like a thousand years.

Ge 2:17

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

2Pe 3:8

But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Ps 90:4

For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night.

Frisbinator -

You've been asking us what we believe about Satan.

But what do you believe about Satan?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
