So is that the only thing Jesus called us to do in the above passages?  Lay down our lives?  Is that the only thing that I can do for you?  Half way across the world?  How would that work out?  How can I show you love Fez?  Bopeep?  Everyone?  So that you can say, 'that Zion, you know, she has love for us?  How does anyybody do that?  Even on a face to face level, many people have the opportunity/ability to be two-faced; how will the world tell us apart from everybody else?

Well if I saw a person hurt I would help them but maybe that is more human compassion. The problem is what is the definition of love? There are many different types. The phrase I hear now is that "Love is Love" an empty circular argument but what is it really? Is it simply human compassion in the case of non-romantic, non-familial/unknown human beings? That word unfortunately has become so twisted, so out of touch with reality and so jaded that I don't even know what it means or what a person is referring to. So I'm going to equate it to compassion for the sake of this thread. Do we in total as human beings have compassion for one another even going into familial at times? No. Personally I think such a trait does not come naturally and has to be learned or achieved because we are all born into sin. The only true love I see is from God. Sometimes I see it between parents and children and family but it doesn't go far from there. Do we strive for it? Yep, but it can easily become twisted with our own humanity especially if we separate it from God who has pure love. Also, I know this is a controversial statement based on previous threads, calling oneself a Christian or being in a Church does not guarantee that person will be "loving" or compassion (or even a Christian). I have learned not to expect a person to act a certain way because they call themselves Christian and "love" is a very important trait that I don't always expect.

God is the true source of love.  God is love.  It's something tha human beings need to learn to do.

Do I love you guys?  I haven't even seen your faces.  Does that matter?  What I have to answer before God is whether I have followed through His commandment to love you?  If not, then what should that look like in action?

You share some thoughts and opinions that are rooted in your heart and soul. To me, this is and expression of Love and Compassion that have roots in your heart and soul. I am not God or your judge but, I do appreciate you sharing and caring enough to spend some of your God given time with us.

 Blessings  "B"

Because we are the children of God we have His Spirit given unto us:

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Galatians 4:6

And it is only by the power and strength of the Holy Spirit that we as believers can love as we should:

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Romans 5:5

Seeing ye have purified your souls obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye  love one another with a a pure heart frequently:

I Peter 1:22

But I know of myself that God speaks the following words:

Or do you suppose that the Scripture is speaking to no purpose that says, The Spirit Whom He has caused to dwell in us yearns over us and He yearns for the Spirit [to be welcome] with a jealous love.

James 4:5  Amplified Bible

The Holy Spirit longs to help us to love as only God can love, but I always seem to wanted to hold on too things in this world showing oh so little of the jealous love for God I need too, so that I do not welcome the Comforter with the love that He so dearly deserve and He cannot help me to love as only God can.

So yes Zion speaking for myself I don't love others as I should because I still don't show God the love that I should, so that He can not fill my heart as He desires.

If you mean lay down your life die for someone love, no we don't have that sort of love for everyone. We have it for special people in our lives, but not all people.

Not like Jesus...........

Are you speaking for all people or just yourself?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
