No matter how bad we feel about any situation in this world, just remember you are a stranger here and your duty is to carry people safely to the father by proper evangelism. The world has nothing more to offer than what you are seeing now. It's all a lie, only Jesus is the way to true life. So looking onto Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. Thanks dear

Exactly.......... :clap:

I think God might be trying to tell you brother....stay away from the dark ( world news ) and stay in the light....... :whistling:

You need to hear those news so that there will be a consciousness in your spirit to always keep you at alert. Not that the news keep you on your feet, but it puts a sensation in you that triggers your spirit into trusting God the more in an unreliable world of evil and deception

Hey Oakwood, I feel fed up too. Especially with the world calling good bad and what's bad as good. Although we must remember that God told us it would get like this. It did, and it keeps getting worse. I often wish God would remove me from this world because I'm fed up.  But when I go out, what do I do? I usually talk to people about God. Then I realize that doing that is not going to make God remove me. In the Lord's prayer Jesus said to pray for God's will to be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven. I take that line serious. I try to do God's will whenever I get the chance. I'm still fed up because I don't see a lot of other people doing this too. But sometimes I do, and I look for that. Then I'm less fed up. We all need to improve on our doing God's will on Earth. If enough of us did this, there would be less to be fed up about.

well you've got three choices...

you can sit still and complain tomorrow.

you can decide to stand up and do something about it.

you can just lay down and die.

4th choice: Praise God anyway, because He is worthy. Praise Him because He still holds the world in His hands. Thank Him for loving us so much He sent His Son to redeem us.

Habakuk 3:17-18

Though the fig tree may not blossom,

Nor fruit be on the vines;

Though the labor of the olive may fail,

And the fields yield no food;

Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,

And there be no herd in the stalls--

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,

I will joy in the God of my Salvation.

Psalm 37:1-2 Do not fret because of evildoers

Nor be envious of workers of iniquity,

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,

And wither as the green herb.

V7 Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him;

Do no fret because of him who prospers in his way,

Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;

Do not fret--it only causes harm. NKJV

We are IN the world, but (thank Jesus!) NOT OF IT!!

I think it is of grave importance to always remember WHO we are IN CHRIST!

We are ambassadors, sojourners, aliens, reconcilers. We are to be so very careful not to love the world or the things of the world, but to love Christ first and serve him first. I believe that we should only expose ourselves to the world's version of "news" or anything else as we have the specific leading and approval of the Spirit. We need to live by the Spirit and not fulfill the endless curiosities and desires of the flesh. We live in dangerous and anti-spiritual times. We need to guard ourselves, and yet be ready to witness to that hard and cruel world that we know the Savior.

Blessings, Andy

I think I understand. Paul was ready to go and be with the Lord, but knew his mission here was not complete, that it was expedient for him to stay and encourage the churches. I love my wife and children, but Jesus even more. There is definitely a balance to be found in this

Paul was a brave dude. He literally went to the outskirts of hellish places to spread gospel.

Ya! I think most of us could use a little more Paul in us, and a little less typical American Christian!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
