BTW,  just in case you all don't understand why I bother to watch over people like the president maybe I should explain.

Other than the pledge of the flag,I have only taken three oaths in my life that I am aware of.

1. The oath of a boy scout to make myself a better person.

2.  To follow my Savior wherever he leads me.

3. To uphold and defend the constitution of the United States.

What is happening in our nation today is basically under all three.

If you have taken any of these oaths, I would suggest you back up and give some real thought to what was said in each, for God will hold us accountable for them all.

Never thought it about as dramatically as that but I'd go more in this order;

......then way underneath that one would be;

3. To uphold and defend the constitution of the United States.the United States

There is a right of free speech & freedom of religion in the USA that never existed in the centuries since Yeshua walked the shores of Galilee. We are responsible to our ancestors to defend that but we all agreed that it's done by the majority

I have to accept that majority rules even in things I disagree with on a personal moral level. I can peacefully work to change it if that is the calling which God gave me....but either way this also falls under the authority of oath #1.

God will not hold me accountable to how I treated any particular man-made document. He will, however, hold me accoutable to a responsible civic duty which in our particular case is upholding the Constitution as it was intended by the brilliant godly men who wrote it. We do that with our votes...but are votes are for mortal men.

How can any man ever be perfect for everyone?

So we get a different cross-section (pun intended) of America with every election. It's not the end of the world just yet...we've got at least another month.

get off Geroge Bush's people. Half that stuff it lies and the other half is misunderstood. We should support our president and pray for him always. God allowed him to stay in office. And I guess when they start killing us all, just like the followers of Caesar, we'll just have to say..... oh well.

At least Jesus told the first century christians that they were about to be done in by those people, and he never ever said that they were good and to trust them. Pray for them yeah maybe, but to back them and tell people to trust them is so disenguinuous that I can't put words to it.

He allowed pro abortion people (Arnold and Rudy) to speak for him at his convention....ok to be pro abortion if you support him.

So? There is no relavence to either Arnold Schwartzineggar's or Rudy Guiliani's positions on abortion and their speaking at the Republican National Convention These two just happen to be well loved and well respected Republican leaders!

He allowed a gay diplomat to take his live in lover with him to his overseas assignment..he even made arrangements for it.

Proof, please? And is there any particular reason that the President should discriminate against someone who works for the Federal government?

I hear him talk about God a lot. I listen to every speech as I am a political scientist. He speaks about God, but Jesus Christ is not included in his conversation.

So? What does your being a political scientist have to do with any of the above?

I,m in agreement with other one to a degree. Canada too has a leader who claims to be christian , yet is a bare faced liar. What we have to remember is it's not actually these people who are blaspeming the Lord, but the spirit that guides them. I think it's more than ironic that both our countries are being run by "christians" that do not practice their faith. And once again satan has caused division and strife within the ranks of the Lords army. We do indeed need to pray for and bless our leaders, if only to do our duty as christians.
