Have you ever feel the Holy Spirit hovering in your heart? Not sure how to ask or put this in words correctly. Hope you understand my question.

Hi onni, I haven't experienced the Holy Spirit in the sense of the way you described in your experience. But I defiantly have felt the Holy Spirit in my life. Sometimes I felt a sense of being somewhere before when I've never been there before. This I know was guidance to me in that the Holy Spirit had gone before me and prepared the way for me before I even got there yet. It's an awesome feeling to be guided by the master's hand. blessings.

Onni.

Yes; that is when you were visited by the Holy Spirit.

Come close to God and God will come close to you.

Feed on the flesh of Christ,so you can be filled with the spirit of Christ.John6:48--58.

The spirit of the world will only bring sorrows and death.

The spirit of Christ will give you life.

Stay away from strange flesh(spiritual books of men).

They will only cause confusion.

The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth, also called the Comforter.John 16.

Sometimes comes just to visit.

We need to have him stay in us.

Let the scriptures guide us to the truth ,and the truth will remain in us.

The truth will set you free.

Lets feed on the flesh of Christ.john 6:48--58.

Lets fill ourselves with the spirit of Christ.

The spirit of God dwelleth in Christ in full measure.

Let that also be our desire in life.

Can anyone tell me where the Bible teaches that we should expect to 'feel' the presence of the Holy Spirit within us, and what the Bible teaches us that it would feel like?

John 7:38-39 (relevant part)

Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."  By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive...."

i thought it felt more like my chest was removed though, like it was so light that i could breathe for once.  Only later did i realize how to describe it properly and it describes it pretty well.

Acts 2 for one example.  Those gathered in the upper room appeared as though they were drunk to the crowd below....was it the language(s) being spoken that appeared

that way to the onlookers?  I would venture no, because simply speaking a language that is understood would not cause a person to think another is drunk.  It was probably

their joyous and emotional response to being filled with the Holy Spirit as those of us who have experienced the same will be quick to affirm those feelings.

While we should not guide our lives by how we feel, feelings are the indication of what is going on around us...that is, our response to our environment or reaction to same.

The fruit of the Holy Spirit, as found in scripture, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.  (Gal.5)

indicate feelings are the norm.....JOY is a feeling, isn't it?

What I don't agree with, is seeking to have an experience of some sort.  We are to seek God in truth...not in feelings.  Our feelings can change from one moment to the next

but God does not change.

Therefore, our foundation in Him is to be built on His truth...not our emotions.  Emotions are valid though and do follow, but should not lead.

"Feelings' can also be an indicator that something is not right...however, I would handle that by asking God why I feel a certain way and He will either answer by His Spirit

or I will be aware that something is not right.  People can really go off track by believing their feelings supercede the truth that God has already given to us in the Bible

If you don't mind, what does 'you must have all the truth in you' mean?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
