Should we declare war against ISIL or any of the terrorist groups

We need to carefully watch how congress handles the need to take care of ISIL.    If they declare an actual state of war between ISIL and the US, everyone needs to check our insurance policies, for almost none of them covers acts of war.    Some may not even cover terrorism.

 

 

It could be a long term disaster if ISIL manages to start violence here and we are at war with them...

I would recommend everyone check all your insurance policies.

How does one go to war against an ideology?  They are not a country with boundaries.  This would take us to where ever they are and place us in danger with harming relations with other countries.  What needs to be done is to build the security at home so they are found and removed before they cause harm.

I dont think that would work. We cannot seem to keep our borders secure. We cannot protect ourselves from random nuts out there who intend on causing harm. How would you build security so that they are found and removed?

 

About the only thing muslim ideology understands is a show of force. We appear weak to them at this time. So they will strike. And they will gain numbers of followers because they appear strong compared to the us. 

 

Im at a loss. I dont like the idea of striking countries over this. But I do not think we can stop them unless we strike countries over this.

They said on the news that it was going to take a few months to vet the Syrian rebels we need to train and then it was going to take another 8-12 months to train them.  No one else is really stepping into help in any real meaningful way.  Not even the french are really going to do all that much.  The Arab nations are pretty much out to lunch, and this administration is taking the long way around in order to deal with these cockroaches

 

Obama says we will degrade and destroy ISIS.  So which is it?  Those are two different goals.  What's the mission?  Are we going to degrade them or destroy them?   You need degrade what you intend to destroy.

 

this is why you don't want far-left liberal ideologues in charge of anything.  They don't know what they are doing.  They don't know how to lead or,  how get anything done.  They are completely useless as leaders.

A real leader would have our forces over there right now, crushing ISIS with deadly, merciless ferocity and not stopping until they are all dead, every last one of them.
