Onelight, there are plenty of american citizens who support isis. How do you propose getting rid of them?

If they decide to start killing innocent people, since we cannot send them "back home", lock them up for the rest of their lives. They need to be dealt with in a strong manner, or they will just continue to do as they please.

What do you suggest, AJ? How would you try to resolve the issue?

I already mentioned that I was at a loss. The only option they would understand is brute force and Im reluctant to do that, Yet I do not want to see violence here.

Sorry if I missed that. I really don' think anyone who loves God wants brute force, yet, what did He tell His people in the OT when another group was going to destroy them?

I dont think we should want brute force, but on the same not we shouldn't be afraid of it either. We live in a violent world-sometimes violence will find us and those we care about, and often the only way to stop a violent person is with violence. A evil person is not afraid to use violence to gain his own means-a just person will only use violence to stop the evil person.

hmmm, BE, i don't recall him accusing YOU of having said that. don't take generalizations so personally.

I posed the question as to why people join militia/terrorist groups, shiloh talking about why liberals are terrorist sympathizers. That doesn't really further the discussion. Keeping the subject on why people would join such an organization does.

The only real long term solution is to create stability in Iraq and Syria so that ISIS doesn't have a power vacuum to take advantage of. As for Iraq, that power vacuum was formed when Saddam was removed from power. One huge step in the right direction would be to apply as much pressure as possible to make sure both Sunni and Shia Muslims are allowed to be in government. Another would be to get as many other governments in the area to focus on improving quality of life, security, and anti-terrorism measures. A ground war would be one of the worst options.

They said on the news that it was going to take a few months to vet the Syrian rebels we need to train and then it was going to take another 8-12 months to train them.  No one else is really stepping into help in any real meaningful way.  Not even the french are really going to do all that much.  The Arab nations are pretty much out to lunch, and this administration is taking the long way around in order to deal with these cockroaches

Obama says we will degrade and destroy ISIS.  So which is it?  Those are two different goals.  What's the mission?  Are we going to degrade them or destroy them?   You need degrade what you intend to destroy.

this is why you don't want far-left liberal ideologues in charge of anything.  They don't know what they are doing.  They don't know how to lead or,  how get anything done.  They are completely useless as leaders.

When Obama was taking his victory laps after the Iraq war, he would sound off with.......al-qaeda is on the run because we decimated them.   But then he found out that decimate means to kill every 10th soldier.  So 90% of them are on the run?  Really?   We should not be surprised when this fellow comes along with these new terminologies that can cover many meanings just in case he needs to back track.  And watch out when he says.....no boots on the ground,PERIOD!  At least he evolved a bit from just last week stating that we should "contain" isis.

How does one go to war against an ideology?  They are not a country with boundaries.  This would take us to where ever they are and place us in danger with harming relations with other countries.  What needs to be done is to build the security at home so they are found and removed before they cause harm.

Possibly by recording/storing  all voice call data, Cameras/microphones every where, recording all internet sites one may visit even comments made online.  This a couple things one would use , I think.

yes, you asked why americans were joining isis. he answered your question. because liberals are frequently terrorist sympathizers. that IS an answer to your question, but it was NOT a direct attack on you.

the current islamic population in the US is less then 1%. just thought id point that out. Also though we were already at war with terrorism. . .in any case Im not to worried about whether my insurance covers terrorism. From what ive seen overseas-if a terrorist attacks my home (unlikely) Im either going to be dead or he is. . .

unless you are at work....   or on vacation...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
