Revelation 10 - the Q'uran?

Well thank you for the great welcome Morning Glory, I have been looking for people with serious knowledge and thoughts of the true and real God that we serve , and I believe I can hold my own I have been looking for a good challenge, and I am wanting to learn more, so  lets study Gods word ,and lets  be blessed,  thank you ,and I think I will hang around for a while?

Think of it this way what john saw in the future how or why didn't he try to describe our technology today. If he did what would he call a missle or a jet? What would john call a tank or what words would he use to describe such things?

He did write what he had seen.

I haven't had time to think about this, so this theory could be seriously flawed. I heard it from a poster on another site. So without dwelling on it too much, I've decided to jump in the deep end and see what others might think:

 

Could the book in Revelation 10 be referring to the Q'uran?

 

Angels can also mean fallen angels.

The seven thunders. Who are they? Are they demonic in nature?

 

John was told not to write down what the seven thunders had uttered.

 

The book tastes as sweet as honey but leaves bitterness in the belly. The Q'uran is said to be poetic and seductive but when one digests its message it leads to bitterness and death.

The word Qur'an means 'recitations' in Arabic.   The original recitation was given to the prophet Mohammad [pbuh] by an angel in a cave.   The book is divided into two parts, which were committed to paper approximately six hundred years after Mohammad's death.    Although there is no clean division between the parts as there is in the Christian Bible, there is a definite difference in the style of the words written there.  The first part was given to the prophet prior to his conquest of Mecca and the second part was given afterwards.

Before the recitations were completed Mohammad admitted to his wife that he may have been listening to a demon.

Why would the Bible make reference to any demonic work of literature?   I submit that the little book of Revelation was something else entirely.

As an after thought, I have read the Qur'an from cover to cover.  It is not poetic or seductive in any way shape or form.  It does not 'read' like any book I've been privileged to scan.  In fact, the thing reads like a phone book.  

I had a question about a reference in the Qur'an and asked several Muslims about it.  They asked me where I got the idea and I told them the sura (chapter) in question.   They couldn't give me an answer and told me that I shouldn't read the Qur'an.   "It's too confusing," they said.

Nice to meet you. And thank you for your interest. I so appreciate Dr. Charles J. Rolls` teaching on our Lord, - His names & titles. The books are out of print but I was able to get some on line in second hand book sellers. Now I don`t know if Dr. Rolls came out of the Welsh Revival. The men who started the Apostolic Denomination did come out of the Welsh Revival. My grandparents attended the meetings in Scotland & over the years were sent out to Australia to help start the work here & in NZ. So I am a third generation Apostolic. The Welsh revival started in the early part of last century & different Pentecostal groups came out of that. Small groups sprung up & eventually they came together & formed either the Apostolic Church or the Assembly of God. The difference being that the Apostolic Church believed in the 5 fold ministries of the ascended Lord. This truth has taken awhile to be received across the Body, but eventually it is recognised today. When I was young this teaching was not generally received.

The Charismatic Movement came in the middle of last century & where the main line denominations had not received the experience of the infilling of the Holy Spirit, now they began to receive. Also those who had received the Holy Spirit`s infilling were not cast out of their Church or positions of Eldership or on the board. Thus we can see that the Holy Spirit has been moving amongst the people & even man`s barriers of denomination could not withstand the revelation of more truth.

As to the Latter Rain Movement (if that is what you mean) then this is another group, but who had some extreme views that the others did not hold. With every move of the Holy Spirit there has been truths restored to the Body of Christ & also there is the work of man & Satan`s false teachings etc. We, the Body of Christ still have a way to go until we reach the `unity of the Faith,` by the Holy Spirit. But He has led us thus far & He will accomplish the maturing of the Body to be joined to the Head.
