There are genetic tests to show if she's got any person of color in her linage.    I have a friend who did the full test and found that his genetic make up is about 2% Neanderthal.    His wife has a lot of fun with that part  LoL

 

 

She refuses to take the test. 

 

 

If they can tell about neanderthal genes in the dna test, now I want one lol. I can see neanderthal traits in me lol.

 

It costs a couple of hundred bucks.....     I would have to check but I think they went through Ancestors.com to find it.     i don't know if they did a swab test or how they got the sample, but Janet said something about not being able to get all the detail if one is a female.   Something about mitochondrial DNA only for women.

I agree ,as apparently quite a large number of white people have African genes who have  had no recent contact with any such ethnic groups .It is possible she has some genetic markers which are black, and senses this .

That could be so; most of us have different races in our ancestry, regardless of whether we know it or not.  Her problem is that she was born white, raised white and then STOLE a black identity.  She has no right to claim black culture as her own or to declare that a man is her father who just happened to meet her family once (when she was a child).  I think she should have to prove her ancestry to avoid prosecution for fraud; a DNA test would determine if her parents are, indeed, her parents.

In the U.S., the government defines minorities. They have set a minmum percentage of Native American to be recognized as Native American, so by government laws, a white person can no longer become a Native American. 

 

 

Actually it isnt the feds who determine the standard of native american blood to be recognized as such. Each tribe sets its own standards to be recognized as such. Some are very strict, no less than 1/4. Others are quite lax and permit even 1/64. 

 

I was offered the possibility to be adopted into the Sac and Fox tribe as a legal full blood member of the tribe last year.....    I am not sure what that would entail.  So far I have not decided to do so.   My wife is Chickasaw and if that opportunity opened for the Chickasaw's I'd jump on it in a heartbeat.    My great grandmother was a full blood something (most likely Chickasaw) but she would never tell anyone what....    She told my grandmother that she was embarrassed concerning her brothers and just never talked about it.    So I have a native background but I don't know what.

 

Chickasaws were doing dna tests two years ago and found that they most likely migrated up from Mexico and are genetically tied to the Mayans.   I thought that was very interesting.

 

My wife's great great grandfather was Tandy C Walker who was high up in the Chickasaw/Choctaw tribes.....    When they dissolved the Chickasaw Nation and gave roll numbers to the tribal members, his number was "1".       So I'm a guy who's skin is so white it's almost clear who has Native American genes with no legal history to it who looks more like a chubby German, married to a Chickasaw princes...       Maybe I should become a Sac and Fox so I can have somewhere to live when the USA falls apart.    All the tribes here are buying back the tribal lands with gambling money.

In the 1970's when I was considering going into Law Enforcement, there where written examinations given to applicants ans the higher ones score, the more likely one was to be hired. I do not know the exact breakdown of how that worked in every case, but in my home town, if a person was black, he/she got an automatic 10 point advantage over a white person.

 

As another example of this sort of discrimination (although this was not technically affirmative action) my first wife received her degree in Chemical Engineering, and then sought employment. She was hired by a local petroleum research division of a major oil company. She was hired, and soon learned that she was making 27% more than her male counterparts who had been there for several years. There was a push to have a greater percentage of female employees, and so companies offered more to women in an effort to compete with other companies for the few qualified women in that field.

If you know your grandmothers name you might be able to find her on tribal census records and then be eligible for tribal membership.

SEATTLE (Reuters) - Former Washington state NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal, who drew national attention after being accused of lying about her racial background, has violated ethics rules while heading a police oversight commission, a senior city official said on Wednesday.

 

Investigators hired by the city of Spokane to probe a whistleblower complaint found Dolezal had publicly named citizens who made complaints against police officers, in violation of confidentiality rules, City Council President Ben Stuckart said.

The Spokane City Council will meet on Thursday to discuss whether to remove Dolezal from the post, and whether to file an ethics complaint against her with another commission, he said.

A city human rights commission also called for Dolezal to resign on Tuesday, and Eastern Washington University, where she taught Africana studies, said she was no longer employed there.

Apart from the confidentiality breach, the lawyers found the whistleblower faced intimidating, hostile and offensive behavior from Dolezal and other commissioners.

Separately, the city is investigating whether Dolezal violated city rules when she identified herself as Caucasian, Native American, and black in her application for the job.

If I were Italian and I converted to Judaism.  I am still genetically Italian.  I am "Jewish" from the vantage point of religion and emotional affiliation and identification, but I am still genetically Italian.   Nothing about conversion changes that.  

 

My comments about race have nothing to do with politics but with reality.    Its the same as gender identification.   Bruce Jenner made cosmetic changes to his body to make him appear female, and he took on a female name.   Bruce Jenner is still a man and when stands before the Lord, he will stand before the Lord a man.

 

This is woman is not black.  If she marries a white man and has children, her children will be white with no trace of a black person's  DNA.    If she wants to adopt the African American culture and way of life, if she wants to immerse herself in that ethnicity and identify herself with that race, that is not problematic and is not really part of the dispute.

 

What you are either not honest enough to admit, or are intellectually incapable of grasping is that she KNOWS she is white and but as lied by claiming to be biologically, a black woman.   She knows she has white and has identified herself as white in a  lawsuit.   

 

She is white when it suits her to be.   But she lied to the NAACP when she presented herself as a biologically/genetically born black woman.   When confronted she denies her white parents are even her real parents.   This is not about a person simply wanting to identify with a particular race.   This is pure fraud.

 

Sorry, Qnts but your position is just wrong and unconvincing.   She is a white woman who lied about her parents and her ethnicity and you are defending it.   So don't talk to me about biblical reality while you defend lies.

 

We will definitely disagree about what makes a person Jewish. A person who converts is 100% Jewish. There is no such thing as 50% Jewish. You either are Jewish or you are not Jewish.

 

Race is a made up thing. There is no scientific agreement on what constitutes a race. It has been redefined multiple times over the years. The government defines race to define minority status.

 

Look up the Somali people.  Some have scientifically categorized the Somalians as caucasoid because their bone structure is more caucasian yet their skin is black. In otherwords, they do not fit the stereotype of the black so called race. Defining races scientifically is basically garbage science.

 

This garbage science changed society since it used to be possible for a person to join another ethnic group and be considered a member. If a white person wanted to join with a group which was black, the group could recognize the person with different genetic makeup as a member of their group. A Gentile could become a Jew. A white could become a Native American. And a white could become a 'son of Congo'. God did not create or define the separation of races. The bible never mentions races. It does mention differing appearances. But not races. 

 

If this white woman identifies herself as an African American, she was accepted by the African American community as black,  and she has joined the African American community living as an African American, then she is an African American. I still believe that this is a low self esteem issue. Parents almost always get upset when a child rejects their religion or culture. People who join a different ethnic group are often more extreme in their views and defense of that ethnic group.

Are you honestly trying to say that if a person who is  Gentile converts to Judaism,  God changes their entire DNA  and makes them physical Jew???   Are you really going in that direction with that. 

 

A convert to Judaism is a religious convert not a physical convert.  If you say otherwise, nothing you say should be taken seriously.  Converting to Judaism doesn't change a person's DNA.

 

Actually race goes back to Scripture.  There are Jews and Gentiles.   The Bible itself mentions different races of people and makes that distinction even if the Bible doesn't use the modern term of  race.

 

This woman is African American only in personal and emotional identification and in NOTHING else..     She is a white woman and not an African American,genetcially.  She is not physically or genetically black and no ridiculous liberal hogwash you post will change that fact.

 

This is as stupid as those who claim Bruce Jenner is now a woman.
