Even a man who is pure of heart

and prays to the Lord above

Can fall into sin, when temptation burns

If his wife, doesn’t give him her love.

          (1 Corinthians 7:5)

But why is the wife not giving him her love? That needs to be answered,

Are we at the mercy of our feelings? Does scripture instruct us to love when someone makes us feel good? Or is love a decision to follow God's instruction even when we are wronged?

Amen!!

This is exactly what we are told in 1 Peter 2&3......

1 Peter 3:1

“Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;”

1 Peter 3:7

“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”

Notice, that both instructions to husbands and wives, starts with the word “Likewise”!

This refers to....1 Peter 2:23

“Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:”

When Jesus was “wronged”, He still did the right thing.

Just as in marriage, when we are “wronged”, the Lord tells us to do the right thing, in spite of what the other person may or may not do!

------------------------

This OP has less to do with blaming the wife for the husband’s sin:

And more to do with, WARNING HUSBANDS, that this danger is REAL!

And that regardless of how committed they are to Christ, they are still in grave danger!

(If their wife, isn’t fulfilling her duties!)

If women would stay home “where they are suppose to be”(Titus 2:5), then there would be no women in the workplace, for the disaffectioned husband to be attracted to.  Therefore women are to be blamed in two ways.  But we don’t live in a perfect world!

Therefore wives should do all they can to please their husbands and husbands should do all they can to please their wives and stay true to them.

Ignorance at it's best. Study to show yourselves approved unto God a workman that needeth not be ashamed.

Please show me, where I am not “rightly dividing the Word of truth”!

:sneaking:  Oh boy I am not even going to go there.

Bigape, I am going to go there.  Did you know that women are everywhere?  :o

Yes I did.

This statement(although very Biblical and correct), was said kind of tongue-in-cheek!

I knew that it would get a reaction out of people, but IT SHOULDN’T, on a Christian site!

Therefore, I added, that we don’t live in a “perfect world”:

But this is something that we should be praying for......

Matthew 6:9-10

V.9 ¶   After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

V.10  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

This is God’s will for Christian wives!

You sure don't know NOTHING about a virtuous woman.

Well I do know, that she had a good “work ethic”

and that she sold her homemade cloths etc., in town and she was a wise in the area of business.

But, she was a STAY AT HOME MOM!

So she could be there for her husband when he got home.

Did you go back and brush up quickly. What you are saying here now goes in direct opposition to what you stated earlier which was, "if women would stay home "where they suppose to be" then there would be no women in the workplace. Well don't seem like you could keep a good christian woman out of the workplace.

But, she was a STAY AT HOME MOM!

.

That is your own idea and not scripture as it doesn't say that, it certainly is an ideal situation but not possible for all.

What about the married women who have no children your STAY AT HOME "MOM" doesn't apply to them nor proves women are suppose to be at home where they suppose to be.

You want to blame women for causing men to go astray simply because they are in the workplace earning a living. Then you say if women are home like they suppose to be then they would be no women in the workplace to be tempted by. What hogwash what of the single women living in the world who have to work for their living. What about widows who lost their husbands and have to work in the workplace. Or the women who's husbands abandoned them. Just because women are in the workplace a christian man shouldn't be looking and thinking of her in a sexual manner because of marriage problems he should have his mind on his work instead of the gutter. You can expect that from a sinner but not a christian man.

Scripture teaches us that a man needs to know how to possess his own vessel.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
