Had Judas not repented, would he still be saved?

Who says Judas was saved?  Certainly not the Bible.

I can't see how one can have free will and not have the freedom to turn away from God after turning to Him.

Then you don't really understand the New Birth.  Back to square one.

No, according to Scripture, they can't.

What scripture are you referring?

The truth is that none of us is worthy (Romans 3:10) and therefore our salvation is not based on our worthiness. It’s based on the Lord’s faithfulness. He promised to die for our sins so we could live with Him, and then He did what He promised to do. Believing that is all that’s necessary for us (John 3:16, John 6:28-29). When we believe He marks us with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance (Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Cor. 1:21-22).

In these two references, Paul explained that it’s a cause and effect relationship. The cause is our belief that Jesus died for our sins, and the effect is His guarantee of our inheritance, which is eternal life. Ephesians 1:13-14 say this relationship takes effect when we hear the gospel and believe it. In other words, when we’re first saved.

2 Cor. 1:21-22 adds that it is God who makes us stand firm in Christ (not us). He anointed us, set His mark of ownership on us and put His Spirit in our hearts. This is His guarantee of what is to come. These are the clearest statements of our security in the Lord anywhere in Scripture. Together they tell us that OSAS is like gravity in that it applies to all of us whether we believe in it or not. This is why Jesus could promise that no one can take us out of His Hands (John 10:27-30).

Had Judas not repented, would he still be saved?

Judas, given his entire profile in Scripture was not a believer to start with. So he could not have lost anything he didn't already have in the first place.

Bible is very clear...

1. Salvation is fixed ...

Heb 9:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

This is why Jesus died for us.. His blood is giving new birth to us.. Who are truly born again.. they won't loose the salvation..

They born not from flesh ,, but from spirit and God..

Joh 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

...........................................................................................

Judas is not born again..

if he truly repented he need to come to the place where Jesus crucified..

But he went to suicide .. killing himself not good.. that is also sin.. suicide is accepting the defeat.. which is will of Satan..

So Judas goes to hell.. no chance to have salvation..

Can a born again person loose his salvation? How do you know if you are really born again?

Of course you can lose your salvation, just reject God, and continue your life without remorse. Sorry to say, this happens way too much.

You were born again when you recognized your sins, knowing that you can never atone for them, and trusting in Jesus to wash them away.

Salvation requires a lifetime commitment to God by trying to walk like Jesus. But you may stumble 10000 times or more...

You are just not capable of living a perfect life. Satan will lie to you, and say that each and every stumble takes you further from God, so why bother?

But every time you stumble forward, instead of looking backwards,  you are trying your very best for God. Jesus will be there to testify your heart!

I guess we will have to agree to disagree on that one.

Luke 22:3 (NASB95)

3 And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve.

John 13:26–27 (NASB95)

26 Jesus then answered, “That is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him.” So when He had dipped the morsel, He took and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.

27 After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”

This is not a saved person.

Jesus said those that the Father gave Him He has not lost one.  Yes, OSAS.

If they are truly born again, they are saved for eternity. If they walk away they were never really saved.

Do we as born again need to ask God to forgive us when we sin?... Absolutely!! We are human and sin though born again...that is why we are told to pray as Jesus taught His disciples in the Lord's Prayer.

Matt 16:23...So was Peter saved? And Judas did repent, does not forgiveness come from repentance? And on a deeper note,Judas was murdered

Satan in the body of Judas tried to stop the crucifixion by going to the priests of the Sanhedrin once he realized the death of Jesus was what God intended all along and the devil played right into his hand. It was not repentance it was feigned remorse. He reacted violently when the Sanhedrin essentially laughed him off. And Judas the man hanged himself because of the rage of the devil within. Otherwise, why would Judas not try to go to the Romans to stop the execution (if he were truly repenting)?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
