A group pf Jehovas witnesses used to stop by my house from time to time. They seemed to be very kind hearted people. I see them at the library from time and they always speak to me with friendly smile. I appreciate that when there are people in my own church who cant be bothered to speak to me

First, I feel bad that there are people in your church who don't bother to speak to you. That is wrong.

Also, I wanted to let you know that a technique used to recruit new members to cultic groups was called 'love bombing'. The intent is to cause the potential recruits to feel loved and accepted to make them more likely to join.

Just as a note:

From Wiki:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_bombing

The expression "love bombing" was coined by members of the Unification Church of the United States in the 1970s.[4] In 1978 Sun Myung Moon, the founder and then leader of the Unification Church, said:

Unification Church members are smiling all of the time, even at four in the morning. The man who is full of love must live that way. When you go out witnessing you can caress the wall and say that it can expect you to witness well and be smiling when you return. What face could better represent love than a smiling face? This is why we talk about love bomb; Moonies have that kind of happy problem.

Psychology professor Margaret Singer popularized the concept.[1] In her 1996 book, Cults in Our Midst, she writes:

As soon as any interest is shown by the recruits, they may be love bombed by the recruiter or other cult members. This process of feigning friendship and interest in the recruit was originally associated with one of the early youth cults, but soon it was taken up by a number of groups as part of their program for luring people in. Love bombing is a coordinated effort, usually under the direction of leadership, that involves long-term members' flooding recruits and newer members with flattery, verbal seduction, affectionate but usually nonsexual touching, and lots of attention to their every remark. Love bombing - or the offer of instant companionship - is a deceptive ploy accounting for many successful recruitment drives.[6]

Jehovah's Witnesses are clearly  clearly not part of Orthodox Christianity. They deny the bodily resurrection of our Lord, which is a denial of his holy work of redemption. They may appear nice and freindly, and tirelessly go door to door to bring their version of the gospel, but it all amounts to nothing because they are not presenting the yrue Christ of the Bible. It reminds me of the warnings the Lord placed on the religious leaders in his day.

Matthew 23:15 NIV
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are."

Its amazing the length that these cults will go to discredit our Lord, yet they claim to be "Christians". Our blessed Lord who by himself washed us in his own blood, who gave up everything even for them, yet they dare deny his ultimate authority, they go to great lengths to deny him his just due. Peter said it just right:

"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them —bringing swift destruction on themselves. [2] 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute."

Jehovah

And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Return unto me, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I will return unto you, saith Jehovah of hosts. Zechariah 1:3 (Darby Bible Translation)

Is Jesus

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy words were unto me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by thy name, O Jehovah, God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16 (American Standard Version)

So, Where's The LORD In Their Witness?

Furthermore, Enoch, from the seventh generation after Adam, prophesied about them. He said, "The Lord has come with countless thousands of his holy angels. He has come to judge all these people. He has come to convict all these ungodly sinners for all the ungodly things they have done and all the harsh things they have said about him." These people complain, find fault, follow their own desires, say arrogant things, and flatter people in order to take advantage of them. Jude 1:14-16 (GOD'S WORD® Translation)

Pray For The Salvation Of The Jehovah Witness
And For The Salvation Of The Jew
May All Who Weep For Them
Be Blessed

on the same subject, I have seen deniel through out the Christian community also that claims to follow what they believe and yet are not following as commanded, and what the scriptures tell us for our life and attitudes, where the church just seems for me that is of the churches I attended it seem like social gatherings for lunch and fun and just doing things that has no substance of God, after service,

I have seen the fake smiles and the idle chats that are not sincere , but seem to be boring to some, and not to study the word , but to hurry out of church to go to there televisions and games and sports, placing a more importance on personal satisfaction, then what they try to hear from the leaders of the church, very common, and seems like night and day in attitudes in church and after church, why would this be , I don't get ?

many people in general as Christians today are caught in the world, and the lusts and vanity of the world ,

and that is a dangerous place for them , for they that follow are following in vain, and some are teaching ,and are teaching false doctrines with in our own churches, watering the word of God down to no power, and no effect, on the body and soul, for thereselves are following the traditions of man , making rituals and going with the flow, but not understanding and surrendering to the power that it speaks of, so I think we all have faults that could be worked on, if we take a honest look at our selves and examine our place and where we stand in the lord,

we know that other beliefs do not do or follow what we do, but does that make it right to point at them and say them with the stick in there eye and you have a log in yours , this is just food for thought, I think we need to repair and settle our selves, before looking over the fence to find any fault, thank you

blessings and peace

THE Word is to be isolated from THE God (which is why THE appears before each Word [Logos]) but God (Theos) is not distinguished from THE God in the Greek grammar "noun kai noun."

THE Father of me and Father of you, God of me and God of you... article (THE) missing before both references to the Father... The doctrine of the missing article undeifying Jesus preched by the Watchtower Bible and tract Society is false.

John 20:17 explained...

John 20:17 (AV)

17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

  • Jesus saith unto her,
  • Touch me not;
  • for I am not yet ascended to my Father:
  • but go to my brethren, and say unto them,
  • I ascend unto my Father,
  • and your Father;
  • and to my God,
  • and your God.

1. Other accounts clearly show some of the women present touched him (clasped his feet in worship). Apparently this woman was in her monthly period and Jesus had an appointment on the morrow after the Sabbath (Leviticus 23:15) to be the sheaf offering (wave offering) the firstfruits of resurrection. He had to be ceremonially clean to do this according to the Law of Moses where technicalities count.

2. The ascension to the Father was not referring to the official ascension 40 days later but that very day. Some have tried to use this passage to show that Jesus did not ascend from Sheol to heaven while his body was in the tomb. This is how they mistakenly end up with "paradise" being in Sheol on the side of promise typically called Abraham's bosom. But they failed to consider that Jesus in John 20:17 said he had not yet ascended to the Father, meaning in his resurrected form. So paradise is where it has always been heaven. And in keeping with his promise to the thief of the cross (Luke 23:43), Ephesians 4:8-10 took place in the three hour period between his death on the cross and the setting of the sun that day.

3. Jesus indicated his Father is our Father, but not in the same way he is his Father. He did not say "our Father" but "my Father" and to "your Father." It's hard for a lot of folks to get their head around the fact that God the Father is not our direct Father but our adopted Father through faith in his direct Son Jesus Christ. God the Father did not create us God the Word (who became the Son in the incarnation) did. See John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:13-16, Isaiah 44:24. The only begotten Son of the Father (John 1:14b) means the only one he created. Jesus in body was created by the Father (John 1:14b, Hebrews 10:5) but in his Spirit Jesus is as much God as the Father or the Holy Spirit is. Which leads us to the next point...

4. How could Jesus be God and yet have a God? John 20:17 is not the only verse in the Bible that says the Father is Jesus' God. From the cross Jesus cried "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" What? It is actually simple once you understand the incarnation and the reasoning behind it. Jesus had to be one of us to be able to sacrifice himself on our behalf. And he had to be God for it to apply to others universally. Briefly, to save one he had to POTENTIALLY save all.  All human beings can be saved if they activate the prepaid salvation of the cross of Christ with faith in him. See 1 John 2:2 / 1 Timothy 4:10 with the understanding of John 3:16-18. In order to be like us, the Father created his body (Jesus did not create his own body). And thus as a man Jesus has a God in the Father.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
