I used to care.  I used burn, I used to rage against the liberal and immoral path the world is racing down.   I used to bleed the conservative message.

... I used to care.

Then about 12 months ago, I could no longer carry the burden of a society that literally wants to go to hell.

I unplugged the cable, I stopped reading the news, I changed the radio channel from Rush Limbaugh to KLove

I just could no longer fight a losing battle. You cannot save those who do not want to be saved.

I decided instead to focus on the Christian Message, and shine the light in the darkness, to pull as many people from the soon to be wreckage of this world.

Am I silent, no...not at all.  But now instead of striving for liberty, and equality and freedom and all the good things that used to make this country and world great, I now strive for the morality and liberty of Christ in the hearts of those who seek Him

In my mind has gone from a country and a world in danger, to a country and a world collapsed, and I am no longer looking to right a ship that seems by all accounts to be capsized, instead I am running a search and rescue operation.

Have I pulled the plug too soon? Is there hope for the world to return to a sane and reasonable place? Is revival possible,?  Or are we on the final glide path to tribulation?

Seeking opinions here

The Bible says we are in the world not of it.

It doesn't say we are to drop out and not pay attention to a lost and dying world full of people that are hell bound unless they hear the Good News of the Gospel.

We are the light of the world, and the salt.  We cannot sit and wrap ourselves in Christian TV and radio and not share that message we are receiving. It's not meant to be kept a secret, it's meant to be shared.  To stop caring is not an option in the believers life.

God gave us an  amazing gift called salvation,  we are to share it, not sit on it.

Don’t think the right wing path is necessarily moral, seeing that it condones death through war and that of capital punishment (and callousness of capitalism—

“families will have my back, along with my own infallible providence for myself”—anyone else who has fallen down on the path of life must be to blame, right?” [<—*sarcasm*]) .  The liberal path has also gone astray via celebrating of gays and abortion.

Agreed that it is healthy to detach from the media and any emotional influence it might have and to focus on God instead.  Also positive and righteous to shine your light and fight for your religious causes.

Yes, we should be careful to remember the words of the Lord who said that the Parisees sat in Moses seat.

...I am no longer looking to right a ship that seems by all accounts to be capsized, instead I am running a search and rescue operation.  AMEN!

Have I pulled the plug too soon? NO.  Is there hope for the world to return to a sane and reasonable place? NOT BEFORE JESUS RETURNS.  Is revival possible,?  NOT NATIONALLY NOR WORLDWIDE; RARELY LOCALLY. Or are we on the final glide path to tribulation?  YES.

As for our corporate churchianity, “Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”

God gave us an  amazing gift called salvation,  we are to share it, not sit on it.

This is the biblical emphasis.  The Gospel must take precedence over everything.  As to "letting the world go", that applies to our personal love for the worldly things connected to power, possessions, pride, and pleasing the flesh, and our personal renunciation of these things.  It does not mean non-involvement in what happens all around us. Christ does not call His disciples to be hermits and monks (or nuns). As to "revival", that is not possible without repentance, and the churches who have departed from the truth have no intention of changing their ways.

The Lord in His time called us to come out and be separate
2 Cor 6:14-18
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

KJV
As He came into the world of sinners and lived among them yet without sin-> so now we, as He possesses our bodies, He desires the
the same within us... Love, Steven

The world is not yours to save. That was your mistake. You're only a man. This doesn't mean that you should stop caring. This only mean that you should stop carrying the burden of trying to save the world. That is God's own responsibility.

And your own responsibility? Strive to become the best instrument that God can use in his quest to save the world. Strive to become the best servant that you can be for God.

And so yes, the time is "now and always" to focus on the things of God.

This passage is on being concerned about the basic necessities of life, but you can easily apply this to your situation:

"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." (Matthew 6:33-34 [ESV])

Two lessons from this passage: First, seeking the kingdom of God is the top priority; it is above all things. Second, the daily burden we should carry is only what we are given for each day by God. This certainly doesn't mean carrying in your shoulders all the problems of the world around you.

Focus on God, my friend. Focus on your own spiritual growth. And the salvation of the people around you will follow... through you, as God uses you.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
