This book was offered at the Nuremburg trials by the Nazi's as part of their defense, that if Luther were alive then, he would be there, on trial with them.

Hitler and his theologians cited Luther and the early church fathers, as well for their theological justification of the holocaust in order to bring Christians on board with what they were doing to the Jews.

Luther was a great student of Augustine, who also was bigoted toward the Jewish peoples.  Such hatred is hardly becoming a Christian.  But Augustine created the concepts that the Catholic church was now God's chosen people since the Jews had rejected Jesus.  He wrote a book called The City of God.  To him that meant the Catholic Church in Rome was the spiritual new Jeruselem.  Jeruselem in Israel had been leveled and the people were in dispersion.  They could not imagine the rebuilding of Israel and the return of Christ to reign tere.  Much of traditional protestantism still believes this error.  They believe that we are presently living in the end times since Pentecost, that we are presently living in the book of Revelations which is all figurative; that God permanently rejected the Jews for killing Jesus the Messiah.  So much of "mainstream" Christianity has not seen the truth of God's love for the Jews, and that He will return so that all Isreal will be saved, then reign there for 1000 years.

Sorry to digress, are you saying that you don't believe that we are living in the end times????

This discussion about Martin Luther reminds us that we are to elevate no man and put him on a pedestal. Luther was undoubtedly a great Protestant Reformer, but he had his flaws.  The Reformation was a mighty work of God, but the Reformers had their human failings.  We are to read Scripture the way Christ did, not the way Luther or any other man did.

If anyone has testimony about this man who died a long time ago, they should probably present it to God. Just my thoughts.

Chapter 29 – How to Try the Spirits

Worthy Christian Library » A.W. Tozer » Man: The Dwelling Place of God » Chapter 29 – How to Try the Spirits

THESE ARE THE TIMES that try men's souls. The Spirit has spoken expressly that in the latter times some should depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron. Those days are upon us and we cannot escape them; we must triumph in the midst of them, for such is the will of God concerning us.

.... ...

...

He was the same man in the widow's house as on Carmel's heights. He is like one of those mountains to which we have referred, piercing the heavens with unscalable heights but clothed about the lower parts with woodlands, verdant fields, and smiling bowers where bees gather honey, and children play. He shows that when a man is full of the Holy Ghost, it will be evidenced by the entire tenor of his daily walk and conversation. In this he reminds us of Luther, the Elijah of modern times, who stood alone against the apostasy of the Romish church; but whose family life was a model of beauty — an oasis in the desert. Let those who only know Luther as the Reformer read his letters to his little daughter, and they will be captivated by the winsomeness and tenderness of that great and gentle soul.

Luther was an evil, vile human being.  READ his book 'On the Jews and their lies' published in 1543.  It's online for free.  Know what you talk about before assuming it's of God.

Was that an essay he wrote or a book?

My first reaction to this, news to me, is that he must have come into contact with the Kabbalistic Jews which colluded later on with the Catholic church, and ended up causing the holocaust (betrayal of the Jews in general) in WWII. In which case I would fully side with Luther, since he must have recognized the connection between those who crucified and rejected Christ, and the devil worshipers following and flourishing in the Catholic system. The Bible mentions these types of Jews in prophecy. The Papal system was assisted by apostate Jews, who had rejected Christ. The works of these scum, are apparent all over the world, including retards like Karl Marx, the impetus to communism.

Nothing to do with Kabbalistic Jews.  Please read the book; it's free.  From VHO.org..................

Few people today realize that Luther wrote 'On the Jews and Their Lies.' (He also wrote such works like "Against the Sabbatarians.") Freethinkers should become aware of the anti-Semitic influence that Luther has brought on the world. His vehement attack on Jews and his powerful influence on the German faithful has brought a new hypothesis to mind: that the Jewish holocaust, and indeed, the eliminationist form of anti-Semitism in Nazi Germany may not have occurred without the influence from Luther's book "On the Jews and Their Lies."

"by faith"   faith that God used him to restore by the Bible  to the common people .  faith in Jesus.

"one faith" same faith as he had.  same faith as all the men called and chosen by God have/had....

all who read it by faith, taught by the Father in heaven,  are in union with Yeshua((Jesus))....  doing God's Work every day.

not being entangled in the affairs of the world.   not loving the things of the world, nor the world.

not afraid of death.

God did not use Martin Luther; that's sacriledge to even suggest that.  Please inform yourself of the truth.

When I learned how Luther and the reformation had been whitewashed, and how Luther was guilty of very serious and atrocious things,  that's when I began to dig deep into history for the truth.

I don't doubt that such books exist, but I question whether they are Luther's writing, or just made out to be that.

Because the reformation was anti Catholic, so it would not surprise me if history and books were written or rewritten in order to blacken the cause of the reformation, and especially people like Martin Luther, who was the most hated reformer of all, because he was not burned at the stake, for one.

The Papacy has been very busy eliminating all records of its atrocities as well as any historical records of its policies and the dates connected with its reign. The internet has been one way of ridding the world of valuable references, and it is advised by any of you who know better, to refrain from disclosing any sources about the Papacy, from universities etc. Every move the Papacy makes is predictable, and has been known about for many decades.

Vilifying Luther, no surprise there at all.

Luther did write the book. The Missouri Synod Lutheran church recognizes that Luther wrote the book, and has written a formal paper renouncing that book, and what it teaches while stating that other beliefs Luther promoted were good.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
