Is the doctrine of the Trinity biblical?

Zechariah 12:10 - The LORD(YHWH/ I AM) is pierced. Absolutely obvious to even a child that this is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Isaiah 43:11 -  To really  S  P  E  L  L    I T   O  U  T   for the anti-trinity childish fringe, God declares: " I, even I am the LORD, and apart from me there is no SAVIOR."   Jesus is called our Savior dozens of times in the NT.

John 2:19-21 - Jesus says he,himself, will raise his body from the grave. Because he is God.

John 5:58; 8:24; 8:28 - Jesus declares he is the God " I AM" of Exodus 3:14.

John 20:28- The Apostle Thomas affirms that Jesus is "my God" in front of Jesus.

Matthew 28:19 - This is explicit confirmation of the eternal truth of the one God,I AM, existing as three persons.

All the best Greek scholars stated that the Bible indisputably declares that God exists eternally as three persons.

Dr. Gustav A. Deissmann discovered that the New Testament was written in Koine Greek and he too believed the Bible's "I  AM " co-eternally exists as the Father, the Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

OH what an awesome God they are! 

 

 

 

YHWH can not be the Father.   YHWH is what Jesus was before he was flesh and blood.       Moses, Aaron and 72 other people went up and saw the God of Israel which is YHWH, but Jesus tells us very plainly that no one has at any time ever seen the Father except him who came from the Father.     So it is very plain that the YHWH can not be the Father or scripture is broken.

 

Several of you have made this mistake over the past two months and you should stop doing so.....

This is one of the plainest statement regarding the Trinity, but has been thrown out of every modern version of the Bible in English.  It has sufficient documentary support, as well as internal grammatical support, but the naysayers hate this verse, so it has been expunged.  Even the Catholic Douay-Rheims translation has this verse:

We cannot come to God through any other word, but only through his own Word,...not Mohammad's word, not Bodah's word, not Krishna's word, not your word or my word, nor Joseph smith's word, but God's Word alone.  Do you understand why it is important to know this?

This is a symbolic book, and symbolism does not trump the clear and plain writing in the first chapter of the Gospel of John we have been discussing.

We must never make the mistake of substituting the written word for the PERSON - THE WORD -  Jesus -  God.

" For the WORD of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

And take the helmet of salvation, and THE SWORD of the SPIRIT, which is THE WORD of GOD:

Yes Ezra, and that doesn't diminish anything I've said which takes all of this into full account.

I fear that some would elevate the written word to the level of deity.

so true Davida , so true,, the word of God, is for those to salvation that hear it and receive it in faith , and its also for those that perish and fade away for they don't discern the word and the power of it and find it foolishness to them , I just love that, great Job, and great scriptures too. blessings to you , and keep your armor on, you never know when secret darts come a flying .

Hello Otherone, how are you today my brother, ?

 okay there is no trinity in the bible , but we are told that there is three persons or powers that are able to give us truth, life and instruction, so God or Yahweh was around with noah  ,,moses, etc, then you have Jesus which is and claims to be the son of God , so that's two different entities , then you have the holy spirit of the helper that Jesus had to leave to have the spirit come and fill on pentecosts, and we are receive the spirit of the holy one, , the god himself is holy , and john the Baptist said for the one that comes to baptize in the spirit , I am not fit to untie His sandals so we have three  powers all three are holy and of the same, source and of the same will, the father gives to the son, and the spirit does the work, so I count three, and all three is in unity to get salvation completed and to bring people to God , by the word of God, so we have the spirit of God and the word of God,  and then we have the man the savior, the lamb , the one that went to the cross, now mary is not a God , she was blessed as a women to carry the seed of Godm but then had children like a regular women , so we don't worship her or call her God, and she does not mediate anything , for that would be abomination to God by His own commandment #2 or wait, that commandment was changed to do exactly what God said is a abomination, and to follow other Gods ? so we will not all have that #2 commandment saying the same in all of our beliefs, it has been changed , last I checked, HUH..

Jesus said before time, I was, or I Am, so Jesus has been the word of God from the beginning , the spirit teaches us truth of the word of God and convicts us, the father in heaven does as He pleases for he is almighty just and righteous, and He is God , so let us let God be God, and the son of God at the right hand for He has finished the work of the father , and we can learn and be filled with the spirit ,
