Scriptures say god is our own father, the creator of our soul. Then why does he keeps silent when I ask him something. Some people say that god speaks but we dont hear him. If that is so,as a father, cant he make his voice audible for his child to hear him.

Scripture does not say that God is everyone's Father. Yes He is Creator, but the father/child aspect is limited to those whom He adopts as His children.

John 1 informs us:

However, to all who received Him, those believing in his name,
he gave authority to become God's children

Roman 8:15:

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"

The Book of Hebrews begins with:

"Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world."

God does speak directly, person to person with most people. His primary way of speaking to us, is through His Son, the eternal Word of God personified, and through His word, the Bible. Reading the Bible, or hearing it, is a path to faith and to hearing God speak.

You asked why does He keep silent when you ask Him things . . .

I am not in a position to answer very many questions that begin with "Why does God . . .", as I do not fully know His mind, nor has He appointed be to speak for Him, on matters that He has not revealed to me.

The Book of James comments:

"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

Now, that sounds simple enough but James also says:

"But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."

In a different context, God said to the exiled Jews:

For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. ‘Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

I think these things are about as much as I can give you for starters.

If you are not a believer, you are not a child of God.
If you want to hear from God, you need to do it His way, listen to His Son, and read the Bible.
Expecting answers, requires faith, and if you are not a believer, then you lack faith.
God expects us to seek Him with all of our heart - considering that He created us, that is a reasonable request.

In the Book of Hebrews it also says:

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe
that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Now, my question: Does believing in God or Jesus, only mean believing that He exists?

James also answers that question:

"You believe that God is one (or alternatively - there is on God). You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder."

He again, it is not mere intellectual ascent, but faith beyond that. What do we need to believe, what do we believe by faith when we are Gods child?

From Romans 10:

"But what does it ( it here, refers to the Law, what we refer to as the Old Testament typically) say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”

How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!”

You need faith, my freind! From Romans 10:

"However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

So, if you want answers from God, start by reading the Bible, where He gives everything you need to know.

Are you sure you are actually listening?

I am reminded of the beginning of the movie Bruce Almighty, where he is asking God to send him a sign, and God is sending him all sorts of signs, but he really isn't listening.

God can do anything.  If He wants us to hear His audible voice, then He will permit it.   But then if someone heard God's audible voice, one might doubt and think they are having auditory hallucinations.

God chooses, for the vast majority of times, to use "a still small voice."

What is it that you are asking Him for?

As you said god is all powerful. The same scriptures say that he can turn wicked to good, doubtful person to person of faith, there is nothing which is not possible for him. But he remains silent allowing his children(who won't follow his rules) to suffer. A true father wont forsake his dirty spoilt child, rather he will be with him more to understand him.

He has created everybeing(faithless or faithful). It is his responsibility to take care of them. People turn doubtful when god doesnt answer them when asked, esp in hard situations. Nobody is born good or wicked, doubtful or faithful person, situations make them what they are.

Humankind fell from this perfect communion, friend.

This is what complicated things.

It's taken some 5 to 7 thousand years human history just to get to you...

Be patient... be still... and known that He is God.

He hears you when you call...

He is God.

Well Pavan, since you know so much, why are you asking? I don't think God has a responsibility to anyone to do anything. It is His universe. His rules. he can do as He pleases, He defines what is right, and what is wrong, we are not in a great position to be His judge.

Faith is holding fast to the Lord even when you do not feel He is answering.

Look at the psalms. How often did david cry out, feeling abandoned by God. Yet he held fast to faith in the Lord.

The Bible tells us to draw near to God and he will draw near to us. Try really getting into a relationship with Christ. Reading your bible, praying, studying His word. All these things bring you closer to God and in turn you will understand what you need to be doing for the Kingdom. If you haven't asked Jesus to come into your heart and life and save you. Just ask him, as you would a friend or family member. I  am praying that you will find salvation and answers. God Bless.

It is my desire to hear the voice of God speak to me.  For him to take bodily form then sit and talk with me.  But it is his decision as to what is the best way to communicate with me and my place to wait upon God to act.  After becoming a believer and learning about all the times God had spoken to me over the course of my life that I never heard I became ashamed of how deaf I had been.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
