When I accepted Christ I got a response, I wasn't expecting it and it really surprised me. I was always interested in apologetics because like all guys I'm an ameture historian. Asisde from the personal confirmation I can neither prove nor express, the Bible is far and away the best historical record I've ever seen. Notice I didn't say has the best, the Bible is a stand alone primary source. The primary reason I believe is simply the integrity of the source material. I have seen God's work in my life and other people I know. Also when you think of how everything works together like our bodies for example. Millions of cells and parts that all serve a purpose. There is no possible way that it could have just happened. Millions of species of animals, insects and birds all reproducing after their own kind. Mostly I believe because I can feel his presence when I pray and read the Bible. I have even heard him laugh with me. There's no way I can't believe. It was an interfaith church without any real direction. Basically a bunch of mishmash rather than anything beneficial and blending different religions into one more religion. Confusing. For the next 25 years I became a full-fledged New Ager, delving into every aspect of it. Deep down inside I kept asking "what more is there?" I never found it until the day I came to the end of myself. I literally wanted to end it all on that day. Instead I called the number on a business card a friend, who was a Christian, had given me. The day was February 16, 1991. I'll never forget how much my life changed since accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior. From that day forward, the Lord has given me visions, dreams, words of knowledge, and wisdom on a regular basis. Things I couldn't possibly know any other way were given to me.
