According to nasa its not dimming. As for scientists being silenced, there have been prominent scientists chased out of the field for opposing global warming.

Since the late 1970s, the amount of solar radiation the sun emits, during times of quiet sunspot activity, has increased by nearly .05 percent per decade, according to a NASA funded study.

"This trend is important because, if sustained over many decades, it could cause significant climate change," said Richard Willson, a researcher affiliated with NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies and Columbia University's Earth Institute, New York.

We also go through a cycle where the north pole gets more energy and the south less and as we go through that cycle the north looses ice and the south gains....   as we go through the cycle it will  go back to more even.    That may be happening now as I am told that the northern ice is starting to collect more.

That info. Where do you get the idea that politicians went to antarctica? Some of the things you have said in your posts are so out there, I wondered where you are getting this stuff from.

Sorcha Faal had an interesting article on this.  According to their report John Kerry went to Antarctica to commune with the spirit "guardians" of Antarctica to influence the election in favor of Clinton. Those "guardians" were so displeased that they created a major earthquake in New Zealand (where Kerry happened to go after that).  Who knows how much is fact and how much is fiction, but there is no question that evil spirits exist and influence human events.  Since Kerry has been a total disaster as Secretary of State, those spirits were probably annoyed with him.
