It's an outreach and a prayer for PEACE.
In case you haven't noticed - the world is currently being besieged by violence from Muslim extremists.

And THIS is a call for a "One World Religion"??

The church acknowledges that Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship the Father.  We part unity when it comes to the Trinity.
The Pope simple asks that all of us realize our common ground in an effort to stop the hatred and violence.

This is a call for PEACE - not religious unity.
He's not an idiot.  He understands that we will never have a unified vision of God.  

He simply wants understanding from everybody so othat we will have PEACE.

I am not reaching at all, I supplied quotes of what Francis said.  

Also, it is all Muslims who are called to brutally murder all infidels, how can peace result?  Point is, the moon god is not the true God.

Muslims worship the God of Abraham, insofar as he is not a Triune God.
Any similarity with Judaism or Christianity stops there.

PS - if you think that the Pope is calling for a One World Religion based on the quotes you presented - you ARE reaching.
