What is worship in Spirit, and Truth?

If we live in a lie then we're living in a lie, and not truth.

So when we worship in Spirit, and in Truth does it mean we should be honest about ourselves, and be humble and abide in the truth, and accept our flaw as being human?

This is the least most discuss topic, and the most vague topic because people would worship, and feel the Spirit, but the Spirit is normal, and does nothing it lasted for a few bit maybe 10 min, or longer then after that it goes away.  Is that the part the Bible is talking about?  

Two type of Spirit to worship.

First kind
The kind where something within yourself feels good, and it's doesn't last long it appear then disapear pretty quickly.

2nd kind
The kind where there is a real Spirit that comfort you, and it lasted 24/7.

I did some research some where people think the one that lasted for a brief time are the one that are within yourself like your own self, and the one that lasted 24/7 is actually a real ghost it's an another person in a form of ghost.

This is what I am trying to find out how exactly do we worship in Spirit, and in Truth do we worship a Ghost "an another person", and worship something that is within ourselves that is hard to get it out, and hard to pleased if you know what I am talking about.

I'm really asking a deep question, and I am really trying really hard to explain without sounding too weird, or too confusing, and after all this is a question.


 

You have a great description going there as to feeling of the two consciousnesses.

I know what you mean. I think when we come into awareness of Christ the spirit that guided us most loudly to do those things we did before is vanquished . By an awareness of what intuition as it is called is guiding us to do. When it is positive and radiant and feels fulfilling because of the goodness that we can almost taste, I believe in my experience of that that that is God's Holy Spirit.

For me it is like music. An attunement to the octave , the note, that opens the door to simple being. I find when I'm not in that head-space I'm still looking with those eyes at what is happening in my life. And how the word of God should guide me through. But when that other spirit intuition opens up and I feel what you describe yourself, I feel different as a body. If that makes sense.

JESUS said; I have water to give you that you will thirst no more. 

The Lady in this event was a Samaritan, not a pure bread Jew, and she wasn't wellcome to go to Jerusalem to worship, anyway the Samaritans worship in the old worshipping place. 

That time to worship, someone had to go to Jerusalem , because that's where the Temple was, and the ordained Priest and High Preist, and that's where the sacrifices took place , that was also part of the worship , and the gifts, people had to offer also gifts to the Temple, and ask for prayers and make petitions to the Lord God. 

That pretty much sums up most of the essential elements needed for the worship. 

To stay in focus, we are looking in what Jesus said; 

First about the living water, and second that of the new worship , and what did he imply by saying in Spirit and in truth . 

Let's begin with the most confusing one to the people today, but not to the people of that time, and especially to those where the Gospel was first preach, to the Gentiles, beginning with the Greek, and the Roman cultures. 

At the time of JESUS and by default before that, the religions and cultures of all nations involved spirits, (familiar spirits, common among the people). 

Those spirits were the spiritual gifts of the occult, or of their pagan religions.

They were given as gifts to people, to guide them and teach them and protect them. 

We understand that Jesus Christ was referring to the Holy Spirit. 

Jesus Christ later when he was teaching the disciples he said, in the Gospel of John chapter 14: (I am not quite sure),

That is better if he goes to Heaven , because God will send the Holy Spirit in his name, and the Spirit will take from him and bring it to you, (us) . 

And the Holy Spirit will teach you all things that you will need to know. 

That's why JESUS CHRIST said, to the woman at the well, I have something better to give you than what you have, or what the people in your village have, because the Samaritans were not Jews, and they deal with familiar spirits as part of their culture. 

JESUS CHRIST discern that this woman had a familiar spirit, (maybe so), which spirits are limited and they do not know everything. 

And we see her going to the well of Jacob seeking some special blessing, or an answer about her marital situation. 

Jesus was telling her that, when the Holy Spirit comes you going to need nothing else, everything we need is in the Holy Spirit, that the Holy Spirit never runs out of every thing that we need, and we never need to look to another spirit, unless we seek after things that are not within the will of God. 

Christians are not immune to familiar spirits, as of matter of fact, familiar spirits may too often patronize Christians, who allowed them selfs to be under their influence willingly or in their ignorance. 

Now about the other mater , worshipping in Spirit and in Truth. 

Jesus said to her, you do what you do here as the Samaritans do, and you do not know what you do;

Because the worship was ordained by God to be done in Jerusalem, because that's where was the Temple , and the Priest , and the rest, so the Samaritans were in error to do the worship in the old place on the mountain.

And even though they may have had their own priest, even priest from Aaron's family , who stay their at the time when the worship moved to the New Temple in Jerusalem.

That time the people were split, over the place of worship. 

JESUS told the Samaritans that they are not in the truth, not only because they worship in the mountain and not in the Temple in Jerusalem, and using not ordained priest, (even though they ordained their own oriests)

But also if their worship had to be accepted because it was done with a sensere heart, as a Spiritual worship , and because God knew that they seek him anyway, and have not other Gods. 

JESUS CHRIST told her, that it is not only from them that God does not accepts Spiritual worship done from the heart, but it is the same for the Jews, and even today is the same, God knows and hears everyone who seeks him, but that doesn't not mean that he accepts the worship of everyone . 

For the worship to be accepted we need a Temple, and JESUS CHRIST made our selfs to be his Temple, and his sacrifice on the Cross shed the blood of the Knew covenant that purifies our selfs his Temple, and he has made us to be a nation of priests to him, having access to the Holy Place, by his Sacrifice on the Cross , and he is our High Priest and our JUDGE at the same time. 

SO WE'RE SAFE, no matter what our High Priest is also our Judge. 

So as we are the Temple and having been ordained , we can call upon his name and worship him anytime, and where ever we are, as a single unit, we are in the truth and we only need him, to believe in him, JESUS CHRIST to worship in Spirit and in Truth. 

In the book of Acts , in the city of Antioch , the new believers denounce the spirits they had as a guidance from their old faith, and they trade them for the Guidance of the Holy Spirit, when they burned their ocult books that they worth billions of dollars, for the Spirit that knows everything and knew that will never thirst for another spirit because only the Holy Spirit knows everything and he is helping us without any conditions but only out of the Love JESUS CHRIST has for us.

I have met this Spirit that Jesus was talking about that you will never thirst, and boy when I met that Spirit that never thirst it made me high, and it lasted 24/7.  I became paranoid it was as if I did real drugs, but it was the most legal drug you can ever have, and it was very powerful.  It lasted 2 month, and I had to take xanax, and after it left after 2 month it kept knocking on my door for 5 month, but I didn't know what it was doing till I told somebody about it, and somebody told me to invite it back in.   After I invite it back in boom again I was high, and it lasted for a day.  Then the next day it left, and it kept knocking on my door for 2 more month, but I have not invite it back in, and I was too afraid of them because I didn't understand.

Now it doesn't knock on my door anymore, and I read some where it says it is wrong to quench the Spirit, and it talk about them not coming back again once it leave for being rejected, and now I may never see them again simply because I reject it.

Hosea 4:6
my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.

Anyway I have seen Spirit that thirst, and seen Spirit that doesn't thirst, and I testify to you that there is truly  a Spirit that never thirst, and Jesus was telling the truth.

That was NOT the Holy Ghost but a demon. The other spirits you say you have seen are demons too.

You may be in serious trouble here as you are very close to demon possession. The Holy Ghost NEVER acts upon people in that manner. Saying this for your own good, Opy. Read the bible. Go to bible studies at a good church. Repent and ask for Jesus to save you with His saving blood.

I have noticed after I made that last comment Opywang seems to have disappeared. I hope he is ok. I really do think that I made a very good point in answer to his comment. He needs prayer from all of us desperately.

Yes, TheMatrixHasU7.  Let's pray.

With regard to worship, whatever service we do for the Lord is an act of worship.  Things behind the scenes, like caring for people, quietly helping others, praying in the closet, being on the cleaning roster at church; putting communion together, hospital and prison visitation - there are many ways to worship Him.  Whatever we do for others we do unto Him.  Music and prayer as well, of course.

"In Spirit and in Truth" I believe to mean that Jesus was talking about those who are born of the Spirit worshipping Him in the power of the Holy Spirit, knowing that we are talking to the One who is  The Truth in that state where we are completely focussed on Him, not distracted by any peripheral person or thing.

This statement it somehow puzzles the reader. 

It seems that you have not realize or maybe you have, or somehow you are not careful about the language you are using. 

This brother , and I called him brother, because he is a Believer in JESUS CHRIST therefor he is SAVED and under the blood of Jesus Christ. 

Now if you needed to make a reference to the state of anyone who may have been confused about something. 

(and this is an hypothetical statement, as not to judge, and also is a statement that does not endorses ), 

The words you have use in this situation are not the correct ones , as these words may be suitable for other situations, but not to a Believer in JESUS CHRIST who may , (generally speaking), have been walking in some kind of confusion about a specific situation. 

How can you Judge, that because someone has some kind of confusion and perhaps different than other confusions, and of a different kind is not Saved, or is a sign of not being Saved. 

Now if you meant to send a message to someone whom you believe is in need of been delivered from some short of Spiritual operation, whould it have been more appropriate to make it clear that you are undressing a brother in Christ in this matter. and make it clear that he is still Saved, because this issue does not effect Salvation. 

To walk the path "the end justifies the means, with a justified excuse, and by walking this path and using this method we are protecting the unknowlegable brothers, is an admission and a confession of doing in Knowledge something that is not right, but with a good excuse. 

How would you know if he did not come to this forum crying for help. 

Why your comments may be in essence right, that he maybe in touch with diceiving spirits and demonic powers, the words you have use they are too strong, and they were Judging, when they are directed towards the individual in need. 

If they were part of a presentation , perhaps that would have been a different situation. 

We had to keep him somehow interested to stay around, this way we may have had the opportunity to say something that may have help him to see these situations from a different point of view, perhaps the correct one,  and as a result he would have been set free. 

The truth sets people free. 

 But if someone has accepted as truth something that is not, has put one's own self, in the bonds of this captivity , without his knowledge.
