Again, these people WILL NOT come right out and say that we who go to church on Sunday have taken the "mark of the Beast" and are going to hell.

WHY won't they say it? It's what they believe. Why not man up and SAY IT?

Because they know the firestorm they would create if they did come out and just say what they believe.

"Back to the Bible" is needed so much.  So many have not or can not "stand firm" on God's Word yet,

as they have other 'authorities' contrary to God's Word in their lives,

such as the so-called ecf, or sda, or whoever,  instead of God's Word.

They often do not recognize that the house was built on sinking sand, and not on a firm foundation, so what can they do ?

Because that's not what the word of God says. People like you label others and live with invented assumptions rather on the simple word of God. You cling to your traditions just like the Jews and call others liars. To make yourself feel good and remove the prick to your heart, you label others as ignorant, backwards, call them names and throw insults. You build barriers to keep from the truth of the written word of God (in the originals). You lob insults over the barrier, making false accusations of others without the facts. You read what you want, make things up, but the op was Saturday or Sunday? - it was the Sabbath, in English Saturday. That is a fact that will not change no matter the traditions of men. You know the way, yet you do not enter and you forbid others.

That's just a lot of whiny nonsense to deflect from the problem of those who make the Sabbath a requirement for salvation.

That's part of the private face of the Seventh Day Adventist cult.   I have noticed that they, like other cults, have a public face and a private face.   It's only when you are part of the cult and basically get full indoctrinated that you are taught that Sunday church observance is the mark of the beast.  That's the part they fight pretty hard to keep us from talking about here on the boards.

It pretty much defeats their denial that they are not teaching that the Sabbath is required for salvation.

That's presuming that those giving counsel are giving wise counsel; just because one consider themselves wise doesn't mean that they are:

"For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures." (Romans 1:21-23, NASB, emphasis mine)

The Lord warns in Scripture against resting in our own "wisdom", and the Bible also tells us that we are no longer under the Law in several places. The Law has not been destroyed or set aside, only that we are now dead to it, and alive to the Lord. If we are alive to the Law, then we are also alive to sin and thus under a death sentence.

Let the Law apply where it is meant to apply; let grace and rest work where the Law no longer applies (see Galatians 3).

Interesting speculation not sure it will hold up to scripture.

Jer 31:31-33 - the "NEW Covenant" -- includes the "LAW of God written on heart and mind"

1 Cor 7:19 "what matters is KEEPING the Commandments of God"

Eph 6:2 Honor your father and mother which is the "first commandment with a promise" in that still-valid unit of TEN

BTW  -- attack whole denominations.. even this-or-that Sabbath-keeping denomination .. is not the same thing as reconciling an anti-Commandment-of-God theology with the Bible.

Here also is the word of God, dictating just one component that one has to do exactly to keep the Sabbath:

Numbers 28:9-10  9 " 'On the Sabbath day, make an offering of two lambs a year old without defect, together with its drink offering and a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil.  10 This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.

If you are not offering this sacrifice, at the Temple in Jerusalem, then you are not keeping the Sabbath.  I can't wait to hear the same excuses that everyone else, so far, has offered when confronted with this scriptural fact.  Explain to me how you, personally, can "keep" the Sabbath without doing exactly what scripture tells you that you must do to keep it?  Don't forget to keep reading past verse 10 because to keep the Sabbath one also has to completely fulfill all the other offerings laid out in detail after these two verses and in the rest of the Pentateuch.  I assume, since you are the one telling us we must keep the Sabbath, that you are fulfilling these sacrificial requirements.  Because if not, you are not keeping the Sabbath.

How about it?

Are you burning lambs on an altar at the Temple?

Well it is better to actually read the Bible in context than to wrench a tiny snip as in the case above.

Numbers 28

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Command the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘You shall be careful to present My offering, My food for My offerings by fire, of a soothing aroma to Me, at their appointed time.’ You shall say to them, ‘This is the offering by fire which you shall offer to the Lord: two male lambs one year old without defect as a continual burnt offering every day.

... so then "don't be a Christian every day unless you want to offer animal sacrifices every day?" -- we know such snip-and-wrench is not correct.

1. Animal sacrifices ended at the cross - Hebrews 10:4-11

2. Earthly priesthood ended at the cross -- Hebrews 7 - 8:5

3. Sabbath begins in Eden BEFORE sin and BEFORE animal sacrifices - Genesis 2:1-3 Exodus 20:11 Mark 2:27-28

4. Sabbath to be kept by all mankind in the New Earth -- for all eternity after the cross.. no animal sacrifices - Isaiah 66:23

5. Sabbath was for gentiles EVEN in the OT - Isaiah 56:5-8

6. Saints KEEP the Commandments of God Rev 14:12

7. This IS the "Love of God that we KEEP His Commandments" 1 John 5:2-3

Details matter.

Not false accusation at all.   Cults typically hide what they truly are from the public.

Just a thought. We know that the OT is full of types and shadows of Christ. It is suggested that the Sabbath is a type and that Christ is the fulfillment requiring no further observation.

In the wilderness manna was given each day, and corrupted overnight so as not to be fit for food the next day. Except on the 6th day, when sufficient for two days fell and did not corrupt, so as to save Israel from gathering on the Sabbath.

Interesting though that Jesus, the bread of heaven, the Life-giver, gave all on the 6th day and rested on the Sabbath without seeing corruption. Thus after the close of the Levitical dispensation even Jesus Himself,in death, observed the Sabbath.

YOU are the only one to state this. I never did. YOU made this up. YOU assigned it to me. YOU are in error.

Actually, YOU were the one holding up the Sabbath day observance as the litmus test as to whether or not one loves God, or not.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
