Yes in Bible prophecy a day can represent a year and it can also equal 1,000 years.

Thus references to 1,260 days equates to 1,260 years.

I guess the answers lie in knowing your history and seeing what applies.

But in this case it is the 21 years between the two world wars.

When WWI ended as unfinished business and really just recontinued on with WWII -

but with a difference.

Remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki and here is the frightening terrifying difference for our times,

and the prophecies in these two chapters.

The Seventh Seal will occur after the Sixth Seal; which obviously hasn't happened yet.

The 'about 20 years' of this time gap, fits very well for the time required to fulfil all the prophesied things between the Sixth Seal and the Return of Jesus.

Waggles. The 6th seal is laid out in context of the time immediately prior to the second coming. This is at the end of chapter 6 of revelation, with the cry "who can stand in the day of the Lord's wrath? ....and hide us from the face of the Lamb"....

Revelation 7 deals with those delivered out of the final tribulation...whether pre-trib or post-trib as far as our conversation goes, is irrelevant.

Revelation 8:1 is the second coming. It can't be anything else because what follows is not in chronological order following verse 1. Verse 1 stands on its own. A 21 year period between the two world wars is unlikely as that time of history surely must still be under the time of the 6th seal....and I cannot see how it can be connected to a silence in heaven.

Because the language is poetic and symbolic in its construct.

The silence in Heaven for about half an hour is not a literal 30 minutes but rather a period of time here on earth

which corresponds to our 21 years in time. The keys to understanding Revelation symbology is in the scriptures

where we are given the clues in reference to other Bible prophecy verses.

In prophecy a day can equate to a year or at times we are told that to the Lord a day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as a day.

Thus 1,000 divided by 48 half hour periods = 20.83333333333333 years or 21 years if we round up to about half an hour.

The hiatus between the two world wars is extremely significant as it is the end of a period of Biblical history 1917, and then from

1918 we enter the new era of the Last Days for Christianity, the Jews and the world.

Verses 3 - 4 refer to the latter rain Holy Spirit Pentecostal revival that was also occurring at this time. The prayers of the new converts who were

rediscovering the full gospel of salvation and praying in tongues come up into Heaven as an incense before God.

Verse 5 onwards refers to war and in particular to nuclear bombs and radiation.

the 6th August 1945 is another history divider - the beginning of the end commenced on that date.

And this fits in with much Bible prophecy verses describing the horrible fate and destruction of the armies that come against Jerusalem.

11 - the name of the star is Wormwood.

star = nuclear fission = the power of a star unleashed here on Earth

Wormwood in the Russian is Chernobyl - a radiation accident of momentous and terrible consequences.

The rest of chapter 8 is about nuclear war and chapter nine I believe goes on to describe poetically the world wide war

that will commence and end in Armageddon.

6: In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them. (NJKV)

Chemical and biological warfare along with nuclear radiation?

All Bible prophecy is now holding for the coming tribulation period of the Lord's wrath and judgment [Revelation 6:12-17]

This will begin in Revelation 8

There has been no prophecy after the Lord's death on the cross except for the 70th week decreed for Israel still pending

Bro, there are heaps of prophecies leading up to the trib. Be good for its own thread though.

Marilyn is correct. There's a lot of prophecies that will be fulfill in the months leading up to the rapture and tribulation with some really huge signs the world will not miss.

The biggest most notable prophecy will be the construction of the third temple. The tribulation will begin shortly after the completion of the temple's foundation as given in the book of Haggai. This will also be the last major sign. After that, the rapture is imminent.

God's very good on giving signs the world can't miss.

Haggai 2:18-22 New King James Version (NKJV)

18 ‘Consider now from this day forward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day that the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid—consider it: 19 Is the seed still in the barn? As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit. But from this day I will bless you.’”

20 And again the word of the Lord came to Haggai on the twenty-fourth day of the month, saying, 21 “Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying:

‘I will shake heaven and earth.
22 I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms;
I will destroy the strength of the Gentile kingdoms.
I will overthrow the chariots
And those who ride in them;
The horses and their riders shall come down,
Every one by the sword of his brother.

Haggai 2:18 was fulfilled when the Mayor of Jerusalem came out and surrendered Jerusalem to two British soldiers on

Sunday 09th December 1917 - you will find that this date in our Gregorian calendar corresponds to the Jewish date

given in Haggai.

Jerusalem shall be down trodden until the times of the gentiles be fulfilled.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
