Oh I didn't say there wouldn't be asteroids, meteors and volcanic activity in the last days, quite the contrary, there will be. What I was postulating was about 1/3 of the Earth being burned up at a single event.

Yes and i was saying that 1/3rd of the world surface can be burn't up by the effects of a meteor hitting the earth..

Yes it is good to keep with scripture..

(Revelation 8:7) "The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up."

When a large enough Meteor strikes the earth then millions of tons of crust can be blown up into orbit level.. This debris is then drawn back down into the atmosphere by the gravity of the earth and turns into a massive meteorite shower.. This create a huge amount of heat and when these rocks rains down upon the earth it will burn up the area in which it lands.. The meteor that will happen in the last days will be big enough to cause a rain of meteorites over 1/3rd of the earths surface..  The blood described in the Book of Revelation that will also cause a third of the seas to become blood is actually  Nitrous acids.. that will mix in with water that men will be forced to drink and many will die because of this contaminated water..

I am not certain why you claim it is good to keep with scripture, then you go off trying to explain what it means through your understanding of science?  We have no idea how this will come about as scripture is silent.  Could it also be a series of volcanoes causing wildfires?  Nobody knows.  I have found it best to remain silent when scripture is silent.  I keep my personal extra-biblical thoughts to my self as it could be wrong and lead others astray.

I never said it would cause anyone to loose their salvation, just that it could lead some astray, as in down the wrong path.   If some took your understanding and held onto it as truth, being convinced by your argument, then if this event happens without a meteor or nuclear strike, they would be in disbelief as they would be looking for something different. 

AS for being "inspired" by the Holy Spirit ... well, let's just say that when the Holy Spirit give someone the truth, it is the truth, not multiple options.  As for it being a meteor, to cover 1/3 of the trees and all the green grass, it would have to be a massive explosion, one that would destroy the whole earth.  As for a nuclear event, a detonation that would take out 1/3 of the trees and all the grass is also impossible as the trees would be blown down first before the grass would even be touched.  Nope, by just plain logic, neither would work, in my opinion.

Opinions are opinions, we all have them.  May I suggest that if you are voicing your opinion, you make it clear that it is just an opinion.

It could be.  There has been some sabre-rattling going on regarding Iran lately, from both Israel and US President.  Ah well.......wars and rumours of war......  we never know which is just a rumour until war actually breaks out.  Not one second before God allows it to.
