U.S. to Give Millions to Palestinians

WASHINGTON - The Bush administration is channeling tens of millions in additional dollars directly to the Palestinian Authority, overcoming some opposition in Congress in hopes of boosting the political fortunes of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.

I don't mean to appear ignorant, brethren but maybe I am. Does this mean we've abandoned our support of Israel by giving millions in financial support of Palestinians?

The current White House will most likely discover what past administrations have discovered. Every penny they give to the Palestinians will only be used to perpetuate terror against Israel. The "Palestinian Authority" is nothing more than the PLO in a suit. It is still the same terrorist organization it always has been. Throwing money at the Palestinians has never worked. Israel has used the foreign aid we gave them to build an incredible modern 21 century nation. Every penny given to the PLO ends up being used to make bombs and buy weapons.

The only way there will be any semblance of peace in the Middle East before the Messiah comes, is for the Palestinians and the Arab world to recognize Israel's right to exist, and halt all attempts of, and calls for, Israel's destruction.

Theres a surprising amount of 'christians' who are totally against Israel and would like to see her given over to the Palestinians. The reason behind some of this hostility is something that many denominations are embracing and teaching called, 'replacement theology'. Most people are probably completely unaware that they are being taught this. It sounds biblical enough, but it's not.

Where are all those wonderful oil rich Muslim Nations. If the Palestinians need money, why don't they ask their Muslim brothers to chip in for the cause. How is it that America "the great Satan" has to help them out. These are the same people that cheered in the streets when the twin towers came craching down. This is insane. We are funding our enemies! This money should go to the spouses and children of our soldiers in combat! Im growing a bit tired of Muslim sensitivity.

The problem with supporting israel is you have the government trying to sell Israel down the toilet and then you have the religious groups. The US seems to be supporting the government while the religious groups are trying to keep the land that God promised them.

I remember the Palestinians dancing for joy in the streets after 9/11 -- you see I was living in Jerusalem at the time. The difference in how the Israelis and the Palestinians reacted to the tragedy

of 9/11 was shocking. The Israelis mourned and wept with us , they understand what it is like to be the victims of vile terrorists attacks. The Palestinians danced in the streets and passed out chocolates

to one another as they rejoiced that the 'great satan' had been wounded . I knew the situation having lived there for some time, but this time even I was surprised at the vicious attitude of the Palestinians. Human desency dictates that you don't rejoice at another nations sorrow, soooo what does that say about the desency of the Palestinian reaction.

As for millions of dollars being sent to the Palestinians.... I'd like to know why all the other aid they have recieved isn't required to be accounted for before we funnel more funds their way. Arafat stole millions of dollars that was given as aid to the Palestinians. Why don't they dig that money up and use it? Why do we keep giving and their leaders keep stealing. Shouldn't we stop the vicious cycle at some point ?

The Arabs don't give a hoot about the Palestinians. They don't want to help the Palestinians, because they need the Palestinians to suffer in order to gain propaganda points. The Palestians are the tool used by the Arabs to smear Israel. That is why most of the money that comes in from the rest of the world to help the Palestinians gets diverted.

Don't forget, Most of the Tsunami victims were Muslim. The Muslim world contributed LESS than Israel, less than the US and less than any Christian group.
