He isnt here yet thank goodness.

but he will be and sitting can be expensive....   I know a lot of grandmothers that would do a lot to be able to take care of their grandbaby for a short time each day....   and it will help you a lot.....    and she can be a real spiritual help during your pregnancy.

A rich husband would be best though     LoL

Yeah childcare is such a killer. Again my grandma is .. Idk she has her ways. Id prefer my mom watching my son bc i trust her most..

Anywho, I might have to haggle my grandma down to maybe 100 .. If i make 10 an hour( being the lowest)  ill bring in 1256, after 230 insurance and 800 for childcare.. Ill be left with 230ish a month.. And Id honestly be better off on tanf.

8 weeks is a very short time after having a baby and you may still be establishing a feeding routine ( breast feeding is a lot cheaper than buying bottles and formula too )  I too am in the UK so things here are a lot different  My youngest daughter has just had a baby and will be going back to work sometime in January and I will be looking after the baby till she goes to school ( as I did with her other two ) She will supply the nappies and the milk but there is not a lot more in costs so I have no idea why any grandmother would charge to help out especially as if she does then she has to declare it for tax etc and if she is on benefits she would lose out on those too ( wonder if she has thought of that ?)

If you are working they may have a child care facility that would be less expensive and allow you to feed your child during the day  Some colleges also do this as you are not the first nor will you be the last person in your position.

Whatever you chose to do know that  I am praying for you and admire you for not going the way of murder so many young people in your position would have gone and for finishing your schooling CONGRATULATIONS and praying for you both :emot-highfive:   :th_praying:

@Figure of eighty  So proud of you! A big congratulations on your graduating. I knew you could do it.:emot-highfive:

God has been watching over you and strengthening you all these months. I remember how afraid you were in the earlier part of your pregnancy. But praise the Lord- :)He has brought you so far!

I will pray about the childcare situation. Looking forward to more postings by you in my Children thread. GBU.

My grandma wants to get paid lol. I dont' have super close knit caring family. today is an example. though I graduated no one came, my mom works nights so I understand-- then after everything was over--I waited 2 hours on the school's stair well (I texted and called both my brother's and the home phone and no one answered) It really got to me bc Its like I'm pregnant--what if my phone died? what if my water broke? what if both happened? and I would just be out of luck.

When I got home my brother didn't say sorry or even hello--

Idk it just makes me feel like a loser--despite achieving and moving forward in life --that made me feel so unimportant and alone and worthless..bc no one cared ...

Idk part of me feels I should brush it off but my feelings are really hurt. Ive felt pretty lonely this entire pregnancy. I went to all my appointments alone, alone during graduation and being left for 2 hrs on astair well made me feel unimportant ..and this has always happened. ever since ive started the school..Id always wait for my ride atleast an hour...

idk I'm struggling with bad thoughts rn... I have no one to talk to and no one cares.

It doesn't matter how much I achieve or do my family doesn't care especially my brothers.

Seek to be motivated to achieve out of love for your soon to arrive little one.. Don't waste your time seeking approval from people who either don't care or have been brought up in such a negative family culture that they have been conditioned never to give encouragement to others..

I was born in a family where my dad Never Ever gave any encouragement or approval of anything i did.. But he was sure quick to express disapproval when i made a mistake or didn't do things his way or if i didn't do it quick enough.. So i kind of understand what it is like to live in a "glass is always half empty" world..

You have a chance to bring your own little one up in a much more loving and caring atmosphere . Don't seek to get approval from others only from God … have you thought that your brothers may be jealous of your achievements or just not understand how hard you have worked ?  Remember you are working for YOUR  future and the future of your own child so you have no need for approval from others just follow your own heart and dream big :emot-hug:  I know it is not the same as having a physical hug and practical help but please know that you are NEVER alone and you do have people here that really do care about you :emot-hug:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
