I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength." Paul learned to believe Christ at his word! Peter learned to believe Christ at his word! The Centurion who asked Jesus to heal his servant learned to believe Christ at his word! You signed off above as "Your friend in Christ." I would only add the adjective, "eternal." Truly this is one goal that I'm working on daily with God. Praying for you! I think if we're all honest, we'd all have to admit that we have feelings of worry, doubt, and fear. We're still human after all. The difference between us and those without Christ is that when those feelings begin overwhelm us, we do know in Whom we have believed and can take these feelings to Him - and He doesn't cast us away just because we're in a place of doubt or feeling fearful, He just lovingly reminds us again of Who He is (think of Thomas). 2 2 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Revlori, have you considered the fact that you are being disciplined? The fiery trial is upon you? I say this with the intent of comforting you, and helping you to rejoice in these times. The first thing I do is to pray, but what also makes a difference is to remember what God has done for me in my past trials. He enabled me to get through them and grow my faith and trust to what it is today. However, I know that in the future there will be more trials and my faith will again be tested but it will grow from what it is today. I won’t have the perfect faith and trust needed while living in my body but I look forward to the days of peace of being with our Lord forever. Do not let anyone question your faith in the Lord because you go thru trials and feel bad. Here is a neat trick. You see, the principalities and powers and those nasty little demons are all about making our lives miserable. They know that as long as they can DELAY the second coming they can win a few for their kingdom of darkness. They are territorial spirits (aka Psalm 82, Deut 32). They rule the nations, but not forever. And the nasty little demons try to get us down often... So what will really get to them is if thru our trials, we do what Yeshua did, and bless our God. Just like Job. When we are thankful to God in our trials, we really poke those fallen holy ones and remind them of their end. It is not far off: "...you are gods, but you will die like men..." God Presides in the Divine Assembly (psalm 82:7) …6. I have said, ‘You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High.’ 7. Usually they are attacks of satan against us to cause us to doubt God's word. However, we are told to pray according to His will, and the best way to do that is to pray the promises. Sometimes we pray with selfish or greedy motives and God won't provide those things because we pray wrongly or amiss. We know he can do the things we pray for but often we doubt that he will. God reserves the right to try our faith and answer out prayers in His own time, like when we pray for the salvation of a family member. That one is a sticky wicket because God allows people free will to resist His grace. So I kept praying day and night with groaning too deep for words, tears and persistence. This is travailing prayer, like when we give birth. So please don't be so hard on yourself. Take it to the Lord in prayer. He is faithful to hear and answer you. The tough part is that it is not always in our way or our time. He loves you.
