The gospel of grace is where it is at, but that is not some notion that grace means sin as you please.

I have never claimed that.....never will. If I ever do, please ban me from this site. And May I rot in Hell .

The Bible says The Law was given “ to close the mouths” of those who think they can keep it.To me, that’s Just a polite way to say “ shut up”—- that is why I used those words . I said to “shut up about delusions”.It is “ delusional” and dangerous and an insult to the Shed Blood Of Christ to add Law-Keeping to the Finished Work Of The Cross. It is Leaven.Paul got very angry with those that spread Leaven. “ CAST OUT the Bondwoman and her son” was Paul’s solution to those that tried to mix Law with Grace. That “ Bondwoman” was Hagar , the symbol for Legalism in Paul’s analogy found in Galations.Paul wanted the spreaders of a Works Salvation thrown out of the Churches he founded. That  is being a tad harsher than I was.Paul later had to lament to Timothy that “ ALL have deserted me”.Apparently , the Legalists were allowed to co-exist with True Believers, and the Gospel suffered because of it.Legalists prattle on here every day, and they appear to be safer than those that try to promote RESTING in the Gospel Of Pure Grace and Nothing But The Blood for Salvation.....I would hate to see them “ rule the day” here at Worthy.I try to squash Legalism where ever it rears it’s ugly head.Paul warned that those who stood for the The True Gospel Of Grace would be attacked...I am convinced that he was on to something .People need to believe the songs  that they sing.... “ without ONE PLEA——except that Thy Blood was Shed for me.” That”s all we are left with. NOTHING. Don’t tell me about you imaginary ability to “ keep the Law” to justify oneself before God.Tell me about what CHRIST accomplished FOR us and then “ close up your mouth” about the rest. It’s Jesus plus Nothing!

Yes. I suspected you were simply misunderstood when you echoed the words, "shut up." I knew instantly what you meant. The Law is meant to shut us up. We gape with our mouths hanging open without a response because we know that there is nothing we can say to defend ourselves against it. We are in some serious trouble without the One who took every "bullet" of the Law for us. We needed a Gift given to us---a Gift we could run to and cry "Abba, Father." The Law indeed shuts us up. Who can attain to its standards, and further, Jesus introduced the heart of the Law, and He said "cut off your right arm," "gouge out your right eye." "Be perfect." Who can keep the letter of the Law much less the heart of the Law. Who can be that perfect but Christ?

Who did the Law apply to? Certainly not Christians. Look at the audience here:

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NIV)
9  Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
10  nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Does that sound like us? Instead, what do we read?

1 Corinthians 6:11 (NIV)
11  And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

So thx BB for the intent of what you are teaching. I get it. It is the work of the Spirit.

By the power of the RISEN SAVOIR ,

let us bring those thoughts captive to the Obediance of JESUS CHRIST .

BB , start pointing to the SOLUTION , to the POWER .   WE have a way out of every temptation ,  we have a great high priest in the heavens who is able to succor us through any temptation .

WE GOTTA start sounding like those apostels did .     And if one does err , my advice is REPENT asap .     Let all be quick to keep the original pattern of what JESUS taught and later the apostels

would teach , for they changed not nor contradicted a word JESUS had taught ,   let all be quick to point to How JESUS and the apostles would say and do .

I talk about the Solution all of the time......The Law is weak and has no Power  to save. There is POWER in the Gospel....1Cor15:1-4 IS the Gospel.....NOTHING ELSE. Nobody at Worthy promotes that Gospel more than I do. If that  Gospel is BELIEVED — PLUS NOTHING , a person will prove it by by RESTING in it.Resting in that Gospel Of Grace, when you KNOW that ALL of your sins are forgiven whether you repent from committing them or not ( if you are Born Again, It is something that will occur naturally- it does NOT  KEEP one saved), the relief, the gratitude, having that great weight of PERFORMANCE taken off one’s shoulders- THAT is what spurs Love and the desire from the Heart to please the ONE who set you free. The GRACE Of The Gospel , The REST From trying to keep a Law that only condemns a person......That does  not spur one to sin.....it spurs one to LOVE. LOVE is the Engine that drives Obedience— NOT fear of Hell.... NOT will power....Not constant Repentance .....NOT peer pressure......not trying to be “ good enough”. It’s Love PERIOD. It all starts with RESTING in the Truth of the Gospel. The Gospel has two parts. Remember that first part where it says that “Jesus died for your sins?” He actually really did. That is Grace. If and when you really BELIEVE that Gospel , and when you LIVE  the life of Grace that the Gospel opens up for us under the “ New and Better” Covenant - The  AGE of GRACE—all of the things the religionists fuss and fret about will take care of themselves. You will FIND yourself doing those things that please God as He cleans the “ INSIDE” of the cup. Only HE can do it .It takes Faith.Do you have the Faith to “ let Go and let God?” The rewards are Tremendous.God bless us  all in the understanding of these things.

Just to be clear, I was not suggesting that you claimed that, it was just me making a statement, that the gospel, is one of grace apart from any works befoer salvation, or subsequent to salvation, and that those who think that grace is a license to sin, are deluded, and quite possibly destined for Hell. Real, born again Christians hate sin, and love God.

What makes you think your faith is right and others aren't when there are thousands of beliefs just in this country alone who all believe differently and God says there is only one faith?? Which faith out of thosands is the ONE ???

I say question your own faith before you question others.

Take the log out of your eye before removing the stick from another's eye.

Ya know, I did not notice, but once again, the topic got switched. The Topic was:

Do you think people of other faiths will be in heaven

it is not, "What do you think about how we received salvation (Unless it is just an answer to the question), but it is NOT about can one lose salvation is it eternal. The latter topic, belongs in our Soteriology section. As it is this might best be there anyway. In any case, the general area may not me the best place. I am not prepared to decide that at the moment, other things on my mind for now. Don't be surprised if I or another moderator moves this topic, or strips it of the Once Saved Always Saved / Once Saved Not Always Saved bickering. Sorry that I allowed even myself to get sucked into diverting from the topic.

Simple - the Bible is true, inspired by the only God, and salvation (according to the only reliable source of spiritual truth and knowledge) comes only through faith is God's only begotten Son Jesus of Nazareth.

Denominations and different religious faiths count for nothing. Salvation is not about different faiths, it is about the one faith in Jesus, that an individual has. That is how anyone, gains a relationship with God, and are adopted as His children.

         and that is the dance of the true gospel being sounded out .   NO faith in JESUS is death , no matter how many good works one thought they had .

Thanks so much, Coliseum......You, Kev, Deb and a few others have been an immense blessing to me as I try to stamp out Leaven and promote The Gospel Of Grace.....Let it be our common prayer that many others will “ get it” and discover the Glorious Life Of RESTING in the Gospel Of Grace. And, Of course— to God be  the  Glory!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
