It seems to me there are two kinds of people in this world. One group wants to do God's will. The other group wants to be popular.

For example, God said homosexuality is an abomination (Leviticus 18:22). One group stands behind this commandment. The other has discovered it is more popular to say there is nothing wrong with homosexuality, and so they say there is nothing wrong with homosexualty.

Now I suppose they can say anything they want, but they don't stop there. I understand California won't do business with states that believe homosexuality is a sin. One woman went to prison because she thought it was wrong to give a marriage license to homosexuals. How much larger will this cancer grow?

The born again Christian wants to be obedient to God and to do God's will. The world wants to be popular. There is a very large ravine between the two groups. Everyone will face judgment one day. I wonder how important they will think being popular is when that day comes?

Something tells me that we ain’t seen nothing yet......homosexuals can do what they want.....I don’t spend much time worrying about them.....they, as any sinner , can be saved .......Just don’t try to tell me that what they do is not a Sin....It Is!  And it is a BIG sin......an “ abomination”.....If they will Turn to God with a heart of contrition , admitting they are lost, wretched sinners who need a Savior, and put their trust in Jesus to save them......God will show His Mercy and save them—— just like He did for the rest of us Wretches....In the end, Wretchedness is wretchedness.....we shouldn’t be be too caught up in attacking one group just because their damnable sins are different from ours........

United Methodist. For five years we had a pastor shoving homosexuality down our throats.

 Deleted.

(Guessing I'll be better off to have nothing to say.)

So...As you said, if we follow Jesus, maybe we can shrink that cancer. you should try that

There is a war in the United Methodist Church, if you haven't noticed.

Maybe you'd like to join the fight.

I predict lgbtq+ will be warmly welcomed at the majority of churches in the US/North Am. in 10-20 years time and those who don't will be shunned as bigots.

Shouldn't they be welcomed?  Should everyone be warmly welcomed?

LGBTQ+ once they are "welcomed in" will then demand access to the kids, reading them stories about the Bible, and about how forgiving and tolerant Jesus is. After being allowed to read from the Bible to kids, they will have kids sitting next to them. Then on their laps, and so on. Drag queen story will become a thing in churches. It could take 5 or 10 or 15. years, but it will happen. Come as you are!

Anyone who objects will be labeled a "sinner" for hating the children of god and christians will become afraid to say anything at first and then stop attending. The pews will then be filled by homosexual sympathizers and all of the other political baggage it brings with it.

You can see the push to normalize lgbtq+ on this forum: "come as you are!" all are welcome!" "only God can judge!" "we are all sinners!" "love is love!"

The writing's on the wall: the church is finished, even on this forum.

The true believers will slowly drift away from established gatherings and then eventually scramble for cover as every aspect of Christian teaching will be condemned leaving an empty vesicle filled with left wing communist slogans.

It is all burning down.
