I think a far more relevant question is, is a person has known sin in his life and is not fighting against it, will that person go to hell if they die?

Different question......same answer. No.

If you Rest In the Gospel Of Grace ( 1cor15:1-4) , you are Saved.....that is a Promise from Jesus.

If you Hear the Gospel Of Grace and reject  it, you are Lost.

The Bible says that we will be Judged by God on Judgement Day by what we did with the Gospel .....NOT whether we were wise or foolish when it came to handling the sins in our lives. Those Believers That do not fight against sin are Carnal Christians .They will suffer for their disobedience here on Earth, perhaps to the point of death. They are “ still” Christians however if they Believe the Gospel , and THAT and Nothing Else will be the determining factor when it comes to Salvation......Believers go to Heaven and Unbelievers go to Hell......its that simple.....The Sin Issue ,as far as Salvation is concerned, was settled 2000 years ago at the Cross when Jesus “ Took away the Sins Of the World.” Some will “Cash In” by Believing the Gospel Of Pure Grace and others won’t.That will determine everything.Rest in the Gospel.

Praise GOD glory to Jesus your answers was the 2nd post

"None of this stuff has anything to do with Salvation.."

HAHA this will tip over some carts.. you were before the foundation of the world written in the lambs book. "All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.”

For me.. still is.. hearing the Father tell me what "righteousness" is. Then asks me how I get "righteousness". See all I saw and still see is the sin I do 24/7. Yet He told me how HE sees me because I believe in His son. He is faithful to what Christ did not what I do. One would think hearing from GOD you would listen.. you still or I do.. I MUST prove show Him.. I can be holy, sinless. The thing is.. only HE will get the glory. In all this.. you never ever want to sin.

As the word says.. were righteous because we believe in Jesus. And if we get stuck in sin. RUN to Him.. don't go by how you FEEL.. know that just calling on His name.. shall be delivered. Repent get up dust off keep going.. you will notice.. wait.. I'm not stuck any more :) What HE started HE WILL finish!

Forgot to add this.. song playing now Rhett Walker - Believer

This teaching at its root is not the gospel presented in the Bible. I would love to give a softer answer, but there is none. The gospel tells us that we are to give all our pearls in exchange for the pearl of great price. We are told that unless we lose our life, we cannot be His disciples.

There will come a day  when we will all face the Lord and give an account of how we have lived.  A good tree brings forth good fruits. We will be asked "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord' and not do the things I have commanded you?' Will we answer "But Lord, I have grace! Obedience may determine my rewards, but not my salvation, right?

Who exactly do we think all those people will be on the day of judgment who will say "Lord, Lord, have we not.....?" and He will answer "Depart from me, all ye who work iniquity. I never knew you."

Why would God clearly tell us "Let ALL who name the name of the Lord depart from iniquity." How clearly must He speak? Why does He warn us that if we sow to the flesh, we will of the flesh reap corruption?  We have been lied to and in these last days, we are going to have to examine our hearts whether we really are in the fsith or whether we have turned the grace of God into a safety net where we can live as we want, not worry about our sins or the hardness those sins have surrounded our hearts with, and then try to defend our disobedience with a handful of scriptures that tell is what we want to want to hear, and totally ignore the multitude of warnings found throughout the new testament.

Up till now, God has been gracious to our disobedience and abject unbelief. But today, God is now commanding men everywhere to repent, to turn from their unbelief in His power to deliver us from the power of darkness. wickedness and their grieving the spirit of grace, and let the Holy Spirit chasten them as sons. Those who listen will live. Those who dig in their heels, defending their disobedience camouflaged with false humility and false grace will wax worse and worse, and prove themselves to be tares and not wheat at all.

God sent His son to die in our place that we may live, and walk as overcomers of the world, the flesh and the devil. He promised to not only forgive us but also to cleanse us of all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

It is not too late to turn from our wicked ways of turning the grace of God into lasciviousness. We have believed the lies satan has whispered into our ears and been led into a false and exceptionally dangerous sense of security. This is nothing personal aimed at you, brother. This teaching has crept in throughout the church, and in these last days will be exposed for what it is, an attempt to keep people sinning with no desire to get freed from the grip of darkness. I hope many heed this warning, for God will not continue wink at our sins due to our ignorance, just because one day, long ago, we prayed a prayer and said we believed Jesus was raised from the dead.

The question is, do we believe that with our hearts now, hungering and thirsting for righteousness or are we simply trying to console ourselves, satisfied to be forgiven but with no desire to present our bodies as living sacrifices, obeying Him in ALL things?

blessings,

Gideon

Lets say your addicted to pornography, alcohol or drugs or anything else. Your trying to repent but hear and there you just wide up giving in, then you confess your sin and try again and again and again.

Do you think a person like this would wide up in hell if they died?

Reader......

The only people who end up in hell, are those who have never been born again.

Once a person is born again, they have been placed, spiritually and eternally, "in Christ", and this means they have become "ONE" with God and Christ.   This can't be undone, because its a birth INTO them, and them into you.

Birth can't be undone and it can't be changed.   Its permanent.

Paul said..."it it not I who live, but CHRIST WHO LIVES IN ME"....... "lives in me"<<<< . See that?   That is the eternal reality of the new birth.  That is your NEW HEAVENLY IDENTITY.  as you are not your own, this earth is now no longer your home..   You are now become GOD's and you are "bought with a price", and this price is the  Eternal Blood of Jesus that has recreated you to be  "IN GOD and IN CHRIST", while you are still in that body.

When the blood of Jesus has washed away all your sin, then what you have become is a "new creation""in Christ", and this is not of you.. Its a literal and eternal birth into the Spirit of God, who has come to reside in you, "Christ in you the hope of Glory", and you are now and forever the "temple of the Holy Spirit".

We go to heaven because we have become a literal part of God and God has become a literal part of us.

Once this occurs, your eternity is the exact same as Theirs......

"but what happens if you sin after you are saved"?   You mean like the rest of us who sinned the next day, if not the very day we were saved ?   Well, its very simple.   Before you were born again, the LAW had dominion over you.  In other words, the law had the power to define you as a SINNER.   So, once this has stopped.... You are REDEFINED..... = Once Jesus has removed the "curse of the law" from you, then the law has no more power to judge you as a sinner..   This is why Paul does not call your sin, "sin", anymore.....He refers to it as "works of the flesh".... And why is that?   Its because the REAL YOU< is not your body.... The real you is an incorruptible born again Spirit, that has been literally and spiritually BIRTHED into GOD and Christ.   So, that is the "new creation", the "In Christ", REAL YOU.    And now, when you find that you are doing wrong, committing acts that would be known previously as sin, ... they are no longer.  They are "works of the flesh"... Deeds of the flesh.   God does not recognize any of  that, .. He instead recognizes the REAL YOU, the BORN AGAIN "in Christ" You.    See, before you were saved, God's Holy law judged you.  But now, Jesus has removed the law and its judgement and therefore you are under GRACE.  And this GRACE is your defining standing and your eternal heavenly status.   This is why the NT refers to you and defines you as a SAINT and not as a sinner.

Here is a wake up call reality check for some of you.      When God saved you, when you were born again, God knew at that moment all the "sin", now defined as "works of the flesh", that you would ever do after He saved you.  And He SAVED YOU ANYWAY.   So, you think on that, till you understand how that can be so.....

Reader,  If you read Romans, and you should, you need to carefully study Romans 3:21-28, and you need to read Romans 4:8 until you get the revelation.  And you need to memorize these verses, and one more.... And that is Philippians 1:6.

Then as you continue to have the inner revelation of who you are , according to who God has birthed you to be, you will begin to let go of any idea of trying to, by performance, be accepted by God, and once you are there, then you will begin to truly flow in the Grace of God which will help you to end not only the life of lust, but more importantly, the DESIRE for it will come under the dominion of the Grace of God, as you are "not under the law but under Grace".  Grace is become your new law.   Grace is your HOLY POWER that gives you self control and NEW DESIRES and dissolves away long standing lust issues.

When you find yourself there, you will have arrived into the revelation of "the gift of righteousness" and "justification by faith"... alone.

I read my bible every day for about an hour and pray and ask God to help me overcome sin. Apart from that i'm not sure what else to do.

Dear brother, there is your answer, ...incidentally, since you are "struggling" with sin, that proves you are born again and the Holy Spirit living inside of you doesn't "enjoy" what you are "showing" Him on the flat screen in your head, ...now, back to the subject at hand...,

Consider this, you are asking God to give to you what's necessary so that "you" can overcome this sin, ...bro, that's not how it works, the "only" way we can overcome any "sin" in our lives is the Holy Spirit "doing" it for us.

We have a Throne in our hearts, before we were born again we are sitting on that Throne, ...then after we are born again we continue to sit on that Throne, ...but it's no longer our "right" to sit there, ...we are blood bought and paid for "possessions" of Jesus Christ, ...and Jesus has put His "Seal" on us and that Seal is the Holy Spirit, so that means we "need" to allow the Holy Spirit to sit on the Throne in our hearts.

We do that by daily, first thing in the morning, ...we "relinquish" all authority in/of our lives to Him, that means He is in "total" control of our lives, ...it's the Holy Spirit guiding and direction our lives in the Holy manner He wants us to live.

If we look at the Temptations of Jesus we see He "defeated" the temptations of the devil by quoting Scripture, ...He "defeated the devil as a Man, ...not as God,  ...showing us how we can "defeat" the temptation of the devil as men in our lives.

The New Covenant He has made with us is, ...He will write His Word in our hearts and in our minds. Hebrews 10:16

That means, when the Holy Spirit is controlling our lives and the devil tempts us,...the Holy Spirit will flash a Scripture in our mind for us to use to "defeat" the temptation,"... just like Jesus did, ...then it becomes our choice to use it or kick the Holy Spirit off of the Throne and we sit down in it and continue on in the temptation which ultimately becomes a sin in our lives and it becomes the vicious circle that you are living in.

Dear brother, break the cycle, ...from your heart, ....invite the Holy Spirit to take His "rightful" place in your life.

Lord bless

Friend your "pearl" gospel is a different gospel and the Holy Spirit tells us what is the destiny of those that "present" a different gospel.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.  Gal 1:8-9

Here's the "correct" teaching of the Parable of Great Price.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:  Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.  Matt 13:45-46

You are telling us " you" are the merchant man "searching" for...

The Scripture tells us: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. Rom 3:11

You say you are looking for "goodly" pearls...

The Scripture says,  "They are all gone out of the way, they have together become unprofitable, there is none that does good, no, not one."  Rom 3:12

So tell us, "Who is this ' great goodly' pearl that 'you' have found?"

What did "you" sell to buy it?

Folks, the "correct" teaching of the Parable is:

The merchant man is Jesus...

Pearls are an "irritant" in it's host...

Jesus "gave" His life for us Gentiles.

He "bought" us with His Blood.

The Kingdom of Heaven will be filled with those that have the "faith" of Abraham, ...he believed God and it was accounted to him as Righteousness, it will be "filled" with his decedents, the Children of Israel, from his own loins, those that are as numerous as the sand on the beach (the previous parable of the field), ...and us Gentile who are as numerous as the stars in Heaven.

This is the TRUE Gospel as given to Paul by the Holy Spirit:

Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 cor 15:3-4

I don't see anywhere in those verses the Holy Spirit talking about pearls.....

Lord bless

I'll never forget how difficult it was to admit I was angry at the Lord, while praying to the Lord. I presented it that way so the reader might appreciate the irony along with me...

This is difficult to write but I'll give it a try because this is part of the reason why I'm still alive. Psychotic depression is a terrible thing; when I'm in the depressed state I share something in common with others who suffer from schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder: I'm barraged by thoughts and start to fall prey to subtle delusions of perception. These are nihilistic in expression and eventually self-destructive in manifestation, giving way to a struggle against suicidal impulses. The thoughts I'm bombarded with are suicidal while I experience events from the past over and over again in waves of escalating intensity...

It paralyzes me, incapacitates me, and devastates my life. It turned off the sensations of hunger and thirst and starved my body --- I barely looked human --- and drives me mad with unspeakable agony. It deprived me of sleep and destroyed whatever I labored to build: friendships... careers... homes... everything except for the life in my body. That was the only thing this horrible disease spared, not for lack of trying.

I saw it rather clearly... everything I had done and all of the people I harmed along my senseless path through life. I was a heart attack waiting to happen and it wouldn't be long before I started suffering from organ failure... that's where I was when I put the muzzle to my head. The bullet would be horrific but it would be a mercy!

That's what makes psychotic depression so perilous; it's beyond the reach of medication and other therapies. I was born with this, @Coliseum… I inherited much from my father but his experience with depression was nothing like my own. I tried to take my life many times over the years... I was mad with grief over my inability to end this nightmare.

There... that's the first time I articulated why I was so angry with the Lord, to someone other than the Lord. I wrote it that way so the reader can continue appreciating the irony along with me. No, of course I'm not angry with the Lord now. We have feelings and those feelings come and they go... but Jesus Christ is the same now, and the same forever. Our God is eternal and never changes. The Lord bless you for sharing these wonderful words, brother.

Thx for sharing so personal an experience. One thing I can certainly say that you are not Dusty, and that is a poor writer. I want to ask you one question---just one---and only because I am really ignorant of your situation: No matter the state of mind a man is in, does God expect him to be responsible for his actions?

Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
