God is perfect.

Jesus is God in flesh, I believe. He was showing us the way.

Are you trying to trap me? Jesus said said only God is good (Mark 10:18), so only God is good.

God has given us his righteousness?  He will forgive us, but we need to repent of our sin. Why? Because Jesus told us to (Matt 4:17).

Unchecked Copy Box Phl 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:Unchecked Copy Box Phl 3:10  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

2Co 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

That means that when Jesus went to the cross He took our sins upon Himself and gave us His perfect righteousness in exchange.  This is another treasure in heaven that brings me to my knees.

Until you develop a personal relationship with the Lord, I don't think you will find the way. Pray constantly (1 Thess 5:17).

Many of us have personal relationships with God.  They may differ according to our gifts, our level of maturity in Christ, and even according to our personalities.  This is one of the situations were the knee cannot tell the hand that we have no need of it.  Each of us is a treasure in God' economy.

Paul wasn't God and shouldn't be treated as such, but he was a great man, and we can learn a lot from him.

Thaat's right jtb,Paul was not God,nobody is saying that-what we are saying is the WORD (s) he spoke(& wrote) were/are  Gods Word......and he was not a great man,he was a great sinner,an ordinary man just like you & I that God did EXTRAORDINARY things with to Glorify our GREAT GOD!

We can learn much from Paul & another the wonderful thing about Paul was that he was always very clear to point out when he was giving his own opinion

Quote

1 Corinthians 7:6-7 King James Version (KJV)

But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

This was "his" advice,of course he thought Jesus Return was imminent...in any event,he didn't leave you guessing

Every man has to first know his heart and be true to it and his relationship is between he and his maker.   You cannot know my intimate relationship with God and how it is developed and lived. That is a very personal matter.

What we can know is how the word of God and yes the HOLY BIBLE , [all of it is  the word of God], is presented for us here to dialogue and find comparison or disagreement.  This is  human relationship.  Having said that, in the topics you posted, you seem to have mistrust in the very book that God has by his divine powers given us as his truth.

So, now you have doubts about the prophets and Apostles that he himself appointed to do his work .  Every man has to bow the nee to his authority and though all the writers of the books and letters are not here, they have penned their words with the approval of the Lord.

Yes, we can go into all kind of history to see who wrote what and whose interpretation is correct ect, but it all comes down to faith and if you BELIEVE , that the entire bible is indeed the word of God, regardless if you disagree with the contents or not.

Your contentions of the great Apostle Paul and his writings as not being equal to Jesus is of no argument, as the entire bible is of God approval and for our instructions as believers to navigate through the Christian walk till we are called home.  The bible is our map for living the Christian life and without it, we would be lost indeed as to learning and following the ways God intended for his children to live.

You are threading on a dangerous pathways,  by picking and choosing and judging the contents of those appointed to write what God has instructed them to.  You can either believe that God instructed or as bible believers would say inspired, it is the same thing.

Yes, God alone is perfect, but he has given men authority to do and say things with his permissions, like the prophets and Apostles .   He has given this account to us, to cherish and keep upon our hearts.  You can say that his words alone is perfect, and that is your prerogative, but his word, the entire bible stands as our lesson book.

You mistrust the writings of Paul and maybe others too, but that is to your peril.

To me prayer is mostly talking to Jesus as a friend.  I don't rehearse what I say or follow a script.  It's good to say the Lord's Prayer over the course of a lifetime though, because it is the perfect prayer of "ACTS" = adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication.  But these things can be accomplished in our own prayers as well.  I think Jesus wants it to be an ongoing personal dialogue.

Alot of times we are just thinking about Jesus.  Maybe what he would do, or what he would want us to do.  That could be the Spirit of God praying for us, and doing a far better job of it, than we can do alone.  With the indwelling Spirit of God we can truly pray without ceasing.  The Spirit of God never sleeps.

But there is really no wrong way to pray.  If you're seeking Jesus, you're on the right path.  Praying with and for others is also powerful, and is the essence of what a church is, people coming together in the name of God.

Let me ask you 2 questions, and then i'll show you some more truth.

Q.) Do you LOVE the word of God?  That is the bible.   Do you love it?   If not, why not?

-------------------------------------

-

The Bible is the word of God.

Jesus is the WORD of God.

Jesus is the Living Word.

The Bible is the living words of God.

The words in the  Bible are Light and Truth, and Jesus is THE Truth.

The longest verse in the Bible says that the words of God are exalted Higher then the Name of Jesus, and "the Name of Jesus is above every name".

Salvation comes by hearing the words that are found in a bible..  "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God". The word of God is the Bible.

We understand that Jesus exists and the Cross was raised because words in a BIBLE are the literal History of this Truth.

We understand that GOD created it all, because of words in a BIBLE that teach this TRUTH.

We understand that Jesus is RISEN< because words in a BIBLE informed the Encyclopedia and WIKIPEDIA.

If there was no BIBLE, you would not even know that there was a GOD to worship and a Jesus to ADORE and BELIEVE IN.

If you are a born again Christian, its only because the words in a BIBLE came to you and you believed the WORDS.

The "seed" of the word, are the words in the bible.

The Holy Spirit wrote the Bible, and men just wrote it down.

The Light of God is both the Lord and the words of God. (Bible).

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
