Do you agree with Filioque addition? I am asking out of curiosity. :)

There is such a hang up on the term begat.   The Hebrew "Begat" has 2 different meanings.   The first and obvious is the offspring of a human male/female.  The second is for a purpose.   And even if we use "Begat," since that is the Hebrew term, we know with God that even if something is internal before becoming external it is still in existence.   So if God "Begat" within Himself the WORD, the WORD has always existed, it was just internal.

To answer your question, I think there is too much emphasis on the issue of how the WORD became Christ, when the WORD has always existed.   I see that when it was just God, the WORD, the Wisdom (Spirit) in the Tanakh, it should not change to suddenly think God had a Son.   He is still the WORD that has always existed and is the factual Creator of ALL things.   Therefore, in reality, He was never the Son.  He is only the Son for the "begat" meaning Purpose, because He fulfilled the Purpose for our Salvation.   But make no mistake about it, He is still the WORD in Heaven!

And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

The word begat or begotten has changed. It use to mean, “to come forth from, sent,” but has now been used to mean beget or birth. That is probably why the Nicene Creed says, “begotten, not made, having once substance with the Father.”

When you say the Son was internal what so you mean?

Do you not see the Son at work Pre-Incarnate in Creation (Genesis 1:1-27), Him in fires with Meshiach, Shadrach and Abendego “Astonished, King Nebuchadnezzar stood up in terror, and asked his advisors, “Didn’t we throw three men into the fire, bound firmly with ropes?”In reply they told the king, “Yes, your majesty.” “Look!” he told them, “I see four men walking untied and unharmed in the middle of the fire, and the appearance of the fourth resembles a divine being./ son of god(s)” (Daniel 3:24-25), or when He judged Lucifer?, “Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 12 “Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “You were the seal of perfection,
Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God.” (Ezekiel 28:11-13). Jesus refers to Himself as Son of Man many times, “But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the man who was paralyzed—“I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home,” (Luke 5:24) and “And he said, "The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.” (Luke 9:22)

John 1:1 says in the Beginning was the WORD...   Then verses later we see the WORD was made /manifested into flesh.   So the WORD is God from day 1.   There is no one before Him.   But several Church Fathers explain that God "Begat/Omitted" the WORD.   This tells me they believe the WORD was internal before being external.   But how they explain it is God removed a part of Himself, which was the WORD already in existence inside God, and from that He (the WORD) was begat.   But this form of Begat is not from 2 humans having a child.   This is God as a WHOLE, the ONE GOD, bringing forth the WORD for the ONE GOD's purpose   It's really interesting how from the Disciples, to the Apostles, to the Church Fathers we get this explanation of what the process of "Begat/Omitting" means from their view.

I read and believe that Jesus did not come out of the Father (created or as if the Son somehow split off from Father during an osmosis) but always existed with the Father and Spirit, as the Person of the Son; Co-Existed and Co-Equal with the Father:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1-5, 14) This makes it clear Jesus was alwayz with the Father and Holy Spirit.

The Son (Jesus) has always Co-Existed and Co-Equal with the Father. The Begot or Begotten is that God the Father sent God the Son to earth, to be born of the Virgin Mary:

“And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. 3 The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. 4 This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.
5 For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus:

“You are my Son.
Today I have become your Father.”
God also said,

“I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son.”
6 And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said,

“Let all of God’s angels worship him.”
7 Regarding the angels, he says,

“He sends his angels like the winds,
his servants like flames of fire.”
8 But to the Son he says,

“Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever.
You rule with a scepter of justice.
9 You love justice and hate evil.
Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you,
pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.”
10 He also says to the Son,

“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth
and made the heavens with your hands.
11 They will perish, but you remain forever.
They will wear out like old clothing.
12 You will fold them up like a cloak
and discard them like old clothing.
But you are always the same;
    you will live forever.”
13 And God never said to any of the angels,

“Sit in the place of honor at my right hand
    until I humble your enemies,
making them a footstool under your feet.”
14 Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.” (Hebrews 1:1-14)

“his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.  He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.“ (Colossians 1:14-20)

“Jesus said, before Abraham was I am.” (John 8:58).

That Jesus always was with the Father snd Holy Spirit, One God in Three Persons, forever and ever.

The Godhead  has always existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God in Three Persons, Blessed Trinity.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
