For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. (Mark 10:42-45) Using convoluted exegesis and making scripture overly complex is the tool of those who would lord over the flock as opposed to minister to the flock, in so doing, that person can then introduce heresies to the flock... this is what Nicolaitanism means, literally to "rule over the laity" and this is What Christ Jesus Hates, as do I. He used fishermen and tax collectors to start his church, not philosophers and priests. Paul the most educated of them all had to have a Damascus road experience to count his past zeal and credentials as dung before he could become a minister of the Gospel.
