Don't believe Satan or his demons can take on human form any longer. Once they were kicked out of heaven they lost such power. Don't believe even the angels have use that power any longer.

I don't believe it was all of them. We still have things happening today.

The Bible is clear on spiritual hierarchies, Cherubim, Seraphim, Archangels, Angels, Beasts, princes, principalities, powers, and thrones in high places. Likewise, the demonic realm is organized and ranked (generals to privates). I believe demons are the lowest rung in the demonic order for a variety of reasons.

Before Noah’s flood, give one instance where unclean spirits, evil spirits, demons, necromancy, or possessions are mentioned. They all occur after Genesis 6:1-4 and Noah’s Flood. This should lead to an obvious conclusion: something happened and changed with the sudden appearance of unclean spirits—hybrids (Nephilim), not eligible for redemption, wondering spirits at death.

Demons act like they once had bodies and crave the lust of the flesh to destroy again, pervert, and fulfill their cravings and desires. Heavenly and fallen angels can change their estate and habitation through free will and assignments (Jude 6). The spiritual can put on a form of flesh as scripture attests to; demons cannot.

Satan knows scripture and prophecy better than any human. Several times, the evil spiritual realm tried genocide to prevent the coming of the Messiah and tried to kill Him when He arrived. Another preemptive attempt was to contaminate the entire Messianic bloodline, thus another primary reason for the flood. What do we make of Noah being perfect in his generation, sinless? I propose his DNA was not contaminated, and he was 100% as created and unaltered.

What do demons do?

 • They work in numbers - Matt 12:45

           • They work as a team; they know the power of unity - Eph 6:12

           • Demons persecute – Rev. 12:13

           • They prevent service - 1 Thess. 2:18

           • Demons disturb the church - 2 Cor 2:10-11

           • They cause trouble - Judges 9:23

           • Cause selfishness and division in the church - James 3:13-16

           • Cause mental disorders - Luke 8:27-29

           • Cause irrational behavior - Luke 8:27-29

           • Cause suicidal mania - Mark 9:22

           • Inflict illness - Matt 9:33, Luke 13:11-16

           • Inflict physical harm - Acts 19:

           • Possess animals - Mark 5:13

           • Promote false doctrine - 1 Tim. 4:1

           • Spirit behind False Prophets - 1 Kings 22:21-23

           • Influence nations – Isa. 14; Dan 10:13; Eze 28; Rev 16:13-14 [geopolitical]

           • Possess unbelievers – Matt. 9:32; Mark 6:13

Demons do not have the power or attributes of a created angel.

Whenever I see this question/topic i immediately go to the book of Job.

Do you think the answer might be found in Job?

Thanks.

In my studies of the paranormal I would say demons do not present in solid form, but they can "appear" to be solid and they can manipulate things in the physical world. They can take on various shapes depending on what they are attempting to accomplish. Though these kinds of things are not as prevelant unless they were somehow let in through black arts or invited in some other way. Otherwise they mostly keep a low profile. I suspect they are messengers and listeners. That's how a medium can tell someone what their loved one's favorite hobby was.

Angels however CAN present and look like you and me. Can fallen angels do the same? That would depend on if they lost the capabilities of the good angels when they fell. The bible doesn't tell us they were stripped of anything, just cast out of heaven. Someone correct me if you seen something I missed.

Don't believe.....what?

According to scripture the Holy Angels CAN assume human form.  By this its implied that what is perceived is a form, not an actual human body.

Likewise demonic spirits may persuade their victims that what is being seen is solid human matter.

The argument rests on the head of a razor and we can only discern correctly by looking into examples and statements of scripture.  Denying what scripture teaches is a fool's errand.

The kingdom of satan is not without power...or what we refer to as authority.

While the kingdom of deceit lost its heavenly status when evicted from heaven, it gained much upon earth.  When satan tempted Jesus it was said that it had been given authority over all the empires of man.   Here's a question for you;

If satan was given authority over all the kingdoms of mankind - WHO gave it such authority?

Bear in mind satan was speaking to Jesus, who didn't argue satan's assertion.  Jesus knew, as did satan, that demonic authority did not come from God, but that it (satan) DID have considerable authority.

Where, then, did satan get its authority if not from God?

Make no mistake...authority it does have.

(Hint: Read Genesis 3)

According to Genesis Chapter six, they can even get women pregnant.

References to 'sons of God' vary depending upon context.

The phrase occurs 5 times in the OT (Genesis 6:2, 4; Job 1:6; 2:1 & 38:7) and five times in the NT (Matthew 5:9; Luke 20:36; Romans 8:14, 19; Galatians 3:26).

The phrase has a different meaning in the OT than in the NT.

OT references generally refer to corrupt spirits that are held in some sort of  bondage until a time of final disposition.

NT references generally refer to those who are saved - humans.

Jesus usually referred to Himself as 'son of Man' - using the identifying phrase from Daniel 7 - an implication of His 2nd coming.

Much has been debated about fallen angels and their supposed sexual intercourse with human females, little of which is Biblical.  These unBiblical references usually imply the creation of mythical creatures that are hybrids of human and animal or are ugly animal creatures.

I submit that fascination with the subject is itself perverse and subject to demonic influence when an undue amount of meditation is involved.

Why the fascination with perverse sexual encounters?

The Bible doesn't provide an inordinate description of the subject.

One ought to wonder, as I do, why this is so important a subject to some.

agree angels did that in the past. I think if they could do so now they would. And we would have giants in the earth again. I believe they lost that power

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
