And from what is seems. How we treat the needy and each other, is what  we are going to be judge on. Interesting.

With severe editing (to identify who is being addressed the getting to a point that might support your comment:

Ezekial 16:1 Again the word of the LORD came to me: 2“Son of man, make known to Jerusalem her abominations, 3and say, Thus says the Lord GOD to Jerusalem:

--- 48 As I live, declares the Lord GOD, your sister Sodom and her daughters have not done as you and your daughters have done. 49 Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy.

So yeah, I can see there a basis for which we (the U.S.) and even many of we in the church are guilty, after all:

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4

Did you get called a liberal too.

Not by me! I think the term liberal is a good term, It speaks to freedom, liberty, like the parry name "Libertarian" That is a good name!. When the Republican party was formed to free the slaves, they were liberals. I do not think, for example, that Democrats are liberals, since they seem bent on creating tons of legislation, to take money from people, and to create laws which reduce the freedoms of citizens. I am glad that a lot of people have decided to stop using they name liberal, and have adopted the use of the word "progressive". However, I am not fond of that term either. Progressive suggests that they are for progress, which sounds positive. However, while they are about change, not all change is progress. Like I am fond of saying:

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

People on the left are not about progress, but they often are about changing things that are not broken, or even changing things for the worse. I feel sorry for the many good Democrats, whose party has abandoned them and given in to a radical left ideology.

So, I do not call people liberals who are on the left, I just settle for the term leftist!

No matter how high we climb the mountain, we are still pulled down by the force of gravity. God will not continue to tolerate sin forever. God is pulling an arrogant, pompous, and prideful America down from her mountain---the gravity of sin is too great. The hammer has not dropped yet, and there may be periods of climbing higher, but God has continued giving us warning after warning after warning. 9/11 breached our walls of protection---a warning. Diseases are causing havoc---a warning. Natural disasters are being experienced in greater numbers---a warning. People are hungry without work to sustain them---a warning. You might be right about not crashing yet. But we do not know the outcome of this election---one God is in full control of. The Democrats are here to unravel this entire system of government---a pawn in God's plan perhaps. They will take religion and Israel with them. We are hanging by a thread---only a thread---over a great precipice. The signs of judgment are upon us. God gave Nineveh 40 days before annihilation; the Word tells us that from the least to the greatest---including the king---repented in sackcloth and ashes, and were spared for 50 years. God will put his Church through the fire first. Are we ready in this Laodicean era? We are barely distinguishable from the world. Jesus told us to be ready, to watch, to be prepared. Are we? Are we in "sackcloth and ashes," repenting before God, praying earnestly with deep humility and reverence before a Holy God that does not tolerate sin? Jesus is our only hope---our every breath depending upon Him. Needless to say this is only my opinion. I hope it is wrong.

Yes, indeed. I couldn't have said it better. Good call, bro.

I spend up to 12 hours a day to read, study and learn. We are to share with others what we have learned about God and the Bible. In college I was doing good to study for 5 hours a day because the subject did not interest me as much.

If our Pledge of Allegiance means anything at all, it would be this. We are, and this pertains to the ending of the stanza of it all. And at one time it did stand substantially so.

"One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

But, throughout that time of our short lived nation being established two hundred years ago, much has occurred to mess up the entirety of its meaning and the integrity thereof.

This is leading towards strong potential of our country's downfall. And furthermore, uh-oh.
Getting off my soapbox now...

:soapbox: And walking slowly away.:sneaking: Okay, that's far enough. Now run! :runforhills:

Jonathan Cahn just came out with a new book this month. I have only read a few chapters but the theme of the book seems to be that America is under judgement and that is why we are seeing a lot of the problems we are dealing with. Fires, the virus, civil unrest and so on. He seems to be saying that God does not want to judge this nation but we do not give Him any choice. I did not really expect that this is what the book was about. Actually for a lot of years we have been fighting against abortion and a lot of the things God is judging us for.  Although God does seem to be blessing those who walk with Him.

Life.

I just realise. You may have thought I meant us

That was half a post, someone came over and I was not able to finish what I was trying to say. The idea is that as individuals or as a nation we are to be a witness and testimony for God. An example of what God can do in people's lives. Of course we have to know something about God before we can share with others what we know.

My father was a doctor and so I was raised to put a lot of confidence in science to solve or cure our problems. Only there are LOTS of problems that medical science can not cure. This is when we as a people need to turn to God for help. When we reach the limit of what man can do to help us then it is time to turn to God for help.

For example if a person is battling mind battles there is a women named Joyce Myers that has written a book on how to deal with mind battles. WE need to have the mind of Christ, we need to be renewed in our mind as we become a new creation in Christ and so on. So with God we have answers and solutions for things that man can provide very little in the way of help.

So if we are a christian nation then we have God to offer to people. God has the answer to ever question. He has the solution to ever problem. We will never have a question God can not answer or a problem God can not solve. We have all wisdom, knowledge and understanding available. We have libraries in Heaven filled with books that give us access to all of this.

Cahn just came out with a book this month that talks about these libraries in Heaven. His book actually goes into all of this a lot more than what I am wanting to go into or explain about Heavenly things. His book goes into dreams and visions and what we are able to learn about God even when we are sleeping.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
