Please show me being "so condemnatory of sacrifices made in the temple that didn't take away sin".

When you can't do that apologize. Then find some place else to put that dross you're trying to put on me and make some kind of sincere effort to read and understand exactly what is posted without negative insinuations like the one just posted. Have some respect.

Or don't.

You choose

Understand I will not collaborate with that dross.

Shalom, Josheb, and I do mean, "Shalom," "Peace," bro'.

You ARE loved, especially around here! You have correct thoughts about Yeshua` ("Jesus") and no one should question those. I can't speak for others, but I don't question them, and I love you as a brother.

You are quite right that Yeshua`s Sacrifice was the ONLY Sacrifice that could redeem us from the curse of sin. It is through the Father's justification on Yeshua`s behalf and because of His blood that we have a future together with Him and with His Son.

However, on a practical matter, there were OTHER sacrifices which were NOT for God's atonement for sin. Some sacrifices were simply for the priests to have food! Others were made purely out of gratitude to God for His love toward us!

Most Gentiles who study the Bible do not know what the word means, but they've seen it in Mark 7:

Mark 7:9-13 (KJV)

9 And he said unto them,

"Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said,

'Honour thy father and thy mother'; and,

'Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death':

11 But ye say, 'If a man shall say to his father or mother, "It is Corban," that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.'

12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; 13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye."

Some pastors will speak without knowledge and compound the problem; however, the Hebrew word is "qaarbaan," (plural is "qaarbaanowt") and it means "gift for a sacrifice [to YHWH]."

7133 qaarbaan (kor-bawn').  Or qurbaan {koor-bawn'}; from qaarab; something brought near the altar, i.e. A sacrificial present
-- oblation, that is offered, offering.

7126 qaaraV (kaw-rav'). A primitive root; to approach (causatively, bring near) for whatever purpose
-- (cause to) approach, (cause to) bring (forth, near), (cause to) come (near, nigh), (cause to) draw near (nigh), go (near), be at hand, join, be near, offer, present, produce, make ready, stand, take.

Actually, the whole subject of sacrifices made to YHWH in the Temple were lumped under that word, and it is still used today. See https://www.mechon-mamre.org/jewfaq/qorbanot.htm.

In the passage above, Yeshua` was NOT discouraging sacrifices. He was discouraging the declaration of an animal as a "sacrifice" when one's parents NEEDED FOOD and asked for HIS HELP! But, the "child" was just saying that it was a gift for a sacrifice to get out of having to give his animal to his parents! Yeshua` told the P'rushiym and the transcribers of the Tanakh that they were WRONG to allow this to go on! They were aiding and abetting the disrespecting of one's parents, which BROKE the 4th Commandment!

Exodus 20:12 (KJV)

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Proverbs 20:20 (KJV)

20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.

The priests talked about in Ezekiel will be fulfilling God's prophecy for the subfamilies of Levites:

Ezekiel 43:1-27 (KJV)

1 Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east: 2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory. 3 And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face. 4 And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. 5 So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.

6 And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me. 7 And he said unto me,

"Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places. 8In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger. 9 Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.

10 "Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern. 11 And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them. 12 This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.

13 "And these are the measures of the altar after the cubits: The cubit is a cubit and an hand breadth (21 inches); even the bottom shall be a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge thereof round about shall be a span (9 inches): and this shall be the higher place of the altar. 14 And from the bottom upon the ground even to the lower settle shall be two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the lesser settle even to the greater settle shall be four cubits, and the breadth one cubit. 15 So the altar shall be four cubits; and from the altar and upward shall be four horns. 16 And the altar shall be twelve cubits long, twelve broad, square in the four squares thereof. 17 And the settle shall be fourteen cubits long and fourteen broad in the four squares thereof; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and the bottom thereof shall be a cubit about; and his stairs shall look toward the east."

18 And he said unto me,

"Son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon. 19 And thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord GOD, a young bullock for a sin offering. 20 And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse and purge it. 21 Thou shalt take the bullock also of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed place of the house, without (outside) the sanctuary.

22 "And on the second day thou shalt offer a kid of the goats without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they did cleanse it with the bullock. 23 When thou hast made an end of cleansing it, thou shalt offer a young bullock without blemish, and a ram out of the flock without blemish. 24 And thou shalt offer them before the LORD, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering unto the LORD. 25 Seven days shalt thou prepare every day a goat for a sin offering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish. 26 Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves. 27 And when these days are expired, it shall be, that upon the eighth day, and so forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord GOD."

Ezekiel 44: (KJV)

9Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel. 10And the Levites that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity. 11Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them. 12Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the Lord GOD, and they shall bear their iniquity. 13And they shall not come near unto me, to do the office of a priest unto me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, in the most holy place: but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed. 14But I will make them keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service thereof, and for all that shall be done therein.

15 But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD: 16 They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge. 17 And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within. 18 They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat. 19 And when they go forth into the utter court, even into the utter court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not sanctify the people with their garments. 20 Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads. 21 Neither shall any priest drink wine, when they enter into the inner court. 22 Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away: but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that had a priest before. 23 And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. 24 And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to my judgments: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all mine assemblies; and they shall hallow my sabbaths. 25 And they shall come at no dead person to defile themselves: but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may defile themselves. 26 And after he is cleansed, they shall reckon unto him seven days. 27 And in the day that he goeth into the sanctuary, unto the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering, saith the Lord GOD.

28 And it shall be unto them for an inheritance: I am their inheritance: and ye shall give them no possession in Israel: I am their possession. 29 They shall eat the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; and every dedicated thing in Israel shall be theirs. 30 And the first of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest's: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house. 31 The priests shall not eat of any thing that is dead of itself, or torn, whether it be fowl or beast.

Hope this helps in some small way.

It's nice to see some pushback regarding the zero significance of a literal temple. I'm not waiting for a temple to be rebuilt,  I'm waiting for my Lord to come.

Remember when Jesus said " it is finished"? Why are we going back to Jerusalem? Unless it is New Jerusalem.

Shalom, Walter.

I'm not waiting for a temple to be rebuilt, either, but I know that when Yeshua` comes back, there will BE a temple from which the Jews will say, "Baruwkh haba' b-shem YHWH!" Furthermore, I know that when Yeshua` the Messiah of God to be King of Israel returns, HE shall build a Temple!

Read the Ezekiel text (chapters 40-41)! Do you see any mention of height mentioned for the walls? Do you read any mention of a ceiling?

So your argument is an argument from silence?

If its not mentioned then it doesn't exist?

Read Ezekiel 42. There is mention of lower chambers, middle chambers and upper chambers......all without ceiling or roof?....

Like Joe Biden would say "c'mon man, get real"

Now read Ezekiel 41.... The thresholds, the latticed windows, the galleries round about their 3 stories.....and from the ground to the windows.....WHAT?

From the ground to the windows??????.... is this not "height"

Sorry there bro..... your argument about not having a ceiling or roof is very very weak. And an argument from silence is really no argument. You're footing is on quicksand!

Look at Eze. 45:6. The house of Israel will be 5000 cubits by 25000 cubits.

Ezekiel 45 is dealing with the land portion.

The first verse tells us this....

"And when you divide by lot the land for inheritance.....". and then carries on for 8 verses. All about the land.

Verses 1-8 is not about the temple bldg, but the land allotment for the whole house of Israel. Here, "house of Israel" is not referring to a bldg (without a roof :))...but to all of Israel.

I'm not sure why you continue to argue about this. Can you not see?

not a temple built of stone by human hands.

And I have not one time ever alluded to this.

You said that there was not one scripture or one prophecy about a third temple anywhere in the bible. That's it.

And I have shown to you Ezekiel's prophecy of a temple, which has never been built, so it must still be a future temple that will be built. I never said who would build it.

Shalom, to all.

It appears y'all have missed the PURPOSE for a Temple! Here's Shlomoh's (Solomon's) reason for the Temple:

1 Kings 8:22-53 (KJV)

22 And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven: 23 And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart: 24 Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day. 25 Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me. 26 And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.

27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded? 28 Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day: 29 That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place. 30 And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.

31 If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house: 32Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

33When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house: 34 Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.

35 When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them: 36 Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.

37 If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be; 38 What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house: 39 Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;) 40 That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.

41 Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake; 42 (For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house; 43 Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.

44 If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name: 45 Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

46 If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near; 47 Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness; 48 And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name: 49 Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause, 50 And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them: 51 For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron: 52 That thine eyes may be open unto the supplication of thy servant, and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto thee. 53 For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.

The point is this: The Temple was NEVER meant to "house God," as if He could EVER be contained by a dwelling place (even a so-called "Heaven")! The Temple was a FOCAL POINT for Israel whenever a need arose! It was to be the ONE PLACE they could look toward to honor the God of Israel! It was a FOCAL POINT for people to look toward to pray to God, and it was the ONE place that was to be a place to HONOR HIS NAME!

I BELIEVE THAT THIS VERSE IS REFERRING TO

THE END OF THE LORDS DAY

AFTER SATAN HAS BEEN RELEASED A SHORT SEASON AND JUDGMENT AND THE LAKE OF FIRE HAS BROUGHT AN END TO ALL EVIL.

2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

WHEN 'IT IS WRITTEN' "NOT TO BE IGNORANT",  AND THAT ONE DAY IS AS A THOUSAND YEARS, AND WE KNOW SATAN IS BOUND A THOUSAND YEARS, THEN THE LORDS DAY WILL BE 1000 YEARS.

IF THERE IS SOME VERSE THAT STATES THE LORDS DAY WILL NOT BE 1000 YEARS, IT NEEDS TO BE PRODUCED IN THE WORD OF GOD, WRITTEN JUST AS IT IS HERE.

SHORT OF THAT, THAT THIS STANDS

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

THIS I BELIEVE IS WHEN CHRIST RETURNS, BECAUSE HIS RETURN IS REFERRED TO AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT IN MANY PLACES

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE SHOULD WE BE TODAY AND EVERYDAY?

2 Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

THE LACK OF THE HEIGHT OF THE WALLS OR A ROOF DOES IN NO WAY NEGATE ALL THE DETAILS GIVEN US FOR THE SANCTUARY AND TEMPLE SPOKEN OF IN EZEKIEL AS I BELIEVE.

WE ARE GIVEN  THE LAND ALLOTMENTS FOR THE 12 TRIBES, THE DUTIES THE PRIESTS WILL HAVE, THE NATIONS COMING TO WORSHIP.

WHY WOULD THERE NOT BE A 'KINGDOM'  PALACE, FOR THE LORD OF LORDS AND THE KING OF KINGS TO DWELL IN?  WHY WOULD HE GATHER ALL HIS CHILDREN AND HAVE NO PLACE FOR THEM?

THIS ISN'T SOME FANTASY LAND WE ARE ABOUT TO EXPERIENCE.  IT IS AS REAL AS THE LIFE WE ARE LIVING RIGHT NOW.

2 Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

THIS IS THE 'WHEN' OF THERE BEING NO MORE TEMPLE.  ALL EVIL HAS BEEN VANQUISHED AND THE NEW ETERNAL AGE HAS COME

2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

2 Peter 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

EVER THINK THAT WHEN THE LORD RETURNS THAT ROOFS ARE NOT NEEDED?  WE WILL HAVE THE LORD HERE ON EARTH WITH US, THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN,  WHO CAN WALK ON WATER, CALM THE SEAS, STOP THE WIND AND WHAT EVER ELSE HE WANTS.

I MYSELF HAVE COMPLETE FAITH THAT WHAT WE SEE 'WRITTEN' AND TOLD WILL BE IN THE WORD IS EXACTLY  WHAT WILL BE.

I DON'T ASSUME ANYTHING, AS I HAVE NO NEED TO MAKE WHAT IS WRITTEN FIT INTO MY BELIEFS, WHAT IS WRITTEN IS WHERE MY BELIEFS COME FROM.  IF IT ISN'T WRITTEN IT ISN'T FOR ME TO KNOW OR DWELL UPON LOOKING FOR A MEANING.

JESUS TOLD US THE TEMPLE WOULD BE DESTROYED.  HE DIDN'T SAY IT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE GREAT TRIBULATION OF THE LAST DAYS.  WHEN THE WORD IS RIGHTLY DIVIDED IT IS CLEAR TO SEE.

WHY THE TEMPLE DESTRUCTION OF 70 AD HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE END TIMES AND WHY WAS THE TEMPLE DESTROYED IN 70AD.
THEY ARE ABOUT TO KILL OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR.

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord.

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew Him the buildings of the temple.

And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
TAKE NOTICE THAT HE HAD  ALREADY   TOLD THEM THAT IN THEIR GENERATION THE TEMPLE WOULD BE DESTROYED AND WHY

THAT CONVERSATION ENDED

AND NOW WE ARE AT THE MOUNT OF OLIVES, SO AT LEAST 1/2 HOUR HAS PASSED.

And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be?

WHEN SHALL WHAT THINGS BE?

1.   the sign of thy coming,

2.   the end of the world

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Matthew 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

THE LACK OF THE HEIGHT OF THE WALLS OR A ROOF DOES IN NO WAY NEGATE ALL THE DETAILS GIVEN US FOR THE SANCTUARY AND TEMPLE SPOKEN OF IN EZEKIEL AS I BELIEVE.

Hi DeighAnn,

Yes. This is true.

Ezekiel describes the city and the temple all in 2D.

Does that mean, when he describes walls in length and width that these walls are flat?

Or when he describes a house with such details as doors and windows, that these are all flat?

To think that when a house is described in 2D, without mention of height, would automatically mean there is no roof because the author didn't describe it as such... is preposterous to say the least.

If I describe to you the house that I'm building as a 9,000 square ft house, measuring 100' x 30', with doors and windows, and having 3 stories.......

What would you think?

Would you think that this house would have no roof? Doors, windows, three stories. and no roof?

Hardly!

Yet there are people who propose such an idea, and if you've been following this thread, which I know you have, then you will see what people have said about this city and temple of Ezekiel's........... with walls, doors, windows, 3 stories..... and yet because there is no mention of a roof, this as then perceived as not having one.

I shake my head in disbelief.

Looks like there is something in Ezekiel related to Matthew 23 and 24. There was a temple standing in Jerusalem when Jesus spoke those words. It was destroyed. Why imagine a 3rd temple when this one meets the prophesy?

This one meets the prophecy?

Are you suggesting that the temple that Ezekiel envisioned is the 2nd temple that was destroyed in 70AD?

Please clarify.

Which Lord's Day?

Do you believe there is only one day of the Lord? Has the Old and New use of the phrase ever been studied?

The end of the Millennium, the 1000 years that Satan is bound and we will be priests teaching those who don't know Gods Truth.  Teaching  the 'spiritually dead',  those who never accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour, or were deceived because they were taught or believed false doctrines, or never heard Truth taught. Gods will that ALL COME to repentance, hoping to the bitter end, making sure that He did all He could to save His children.   That is how those 'dead' will be able to Overcome and receive their eternal life, immortality,  when Satan is loosed at the end for a short season, those who love God won't be taken in a second time.

Yes, I believe there is only 1 time that Christ returns and that is as Lord of lords and and King of kings, for the day of vengeance,  that 'day' being a 1000 year period, and when it is all said and done, Christ will render it all to God so that He may be all and all. (not going to need a Saviour anymore).  And  God will give the earth a complete makeover, heavens also, New Jerusalem, Gods favorite place arrives a fresh, where God will dwell with us forever.

Probably more than you asked, hopefully answered the question.

So you think the "days of vengeance" (Isa. 63:4; Hos. 9:7; Lk. 21:22) are synonymous with the "day of the Lord." Do I have that correct? Am I correct then in understanding the rapture is not the day of the Lord? Do I then correctly understand that the day of judgment when all stand before God is not the day of the Lord? Not the day when the new heavens and earth are revealed? Nor the judgment evident in the destruction of Jerusalem and the rest of Israel in 70 AD?

Isaiah associated the day of vengeance's destruction with subsequent redemption.

Isaiah 63:4
"For the day of vengeance was in My heart, And My year of redemption has come."

And he associated the day of the Lord's destruction cruel fury in which the land would be made desolate. I wonder what a thousand year reign over a desolate land would look like.

Isaiah 13:6-13
"Wail, for the day of the LORD is near! It will come as destruction from the Almighty.  Therefore all hands will fall limp, And every man's heart will melt.  They will be terrified, Pains and anguish will take hold of them; They will writhe like a woman in labor, They will look at one another in astonishment, Their faces aflame.  Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, Cruel, with fury and burning anger, To make the land a desolation; And He will exterminate its sinners from it.  For the stars of heaven and their constellations Will not flash forth their light; The sun will be dark when it rises And the moon will not shed its light.  Thus I will punish the world for its evil And the wicked for their iniquity; I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud And abase the haughtiness of the ruthless.  I will make mortal man scarcer than pure gold And mankind than the gold of Ophir.  Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, And the earth will be shaken from its place At the fury of the LORD of hosts In the day of His burning anger."

And Jeremiah says God's enemy will kill His children.

Lamentations 2:22
"You called as in the day of an appointed feast My terrors on every side; And there was no one who escaped or survived In the day of the LORD'S anger. Those whom I bore and reared, My enemy annihilated them."

Or maybe the day of the Lord's anger is not the same day as the day of the Lord.

Ezekiel expressed similar sentiments, reporting the wall around the house of Israel would not stand.

Ezekiel 13:5
"You have not gone up into the breaches, nor did you build the wall around the house of Israel to stand in the battle on the day of the LORD."

And yet it is a day when others fall as well.

Ezekiel 30:1-5
"The word of the LORD came again to me saying,  'Son of man, prophesy and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Wail, 'Alas for the day!'  For the day is near, Even the day of the LORD is near; It will be a day of clouds, A time of doom for the nations.  A sword will come upon Egypt, And anguish will be in Ethiopia; When the slain fall in Egypt, They take away her wealth, And her foundations are torn down.  "Ethiopia, Put, Lud, all Arabia, Libya and the people of the land that is in league will fall with them by the sword."

Amos, Obadiah, Zephaniah, Joel, and Malachi all express similar report.

I believe you and I (might have been another) had a similar conversation in reference to Peter's words at Pentecost when he said what the folks were then observing was the fulfillment of Joel's prophesy.

Acts 2:14-21 ESV
"But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: 'Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.  For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.  But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel:  ‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;  even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.  And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;  the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.  And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’"

According to Peter speaking at Pentecost, the day of the Lord is a day of salvation for those calling upon the Lord. Paul expressed similar sentiments to the Corinthians,

1 Corinthians 5:3-5
"For I, on my part, though absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged him who has so committed this, as though I were present.  In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and I with you in spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus,  I have decided to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus."

Yet Peter also said the day of the Lord would occur when the new heavens and earth were revealed.

2 Peter 3:10-13
"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.  Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,  looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!  But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells."

Remember: the New Testament writers all believed they were living in the last days when, as Paul wrote, "the end of the ages have come." (1 Cor. 10:11)

No, you do not have that correct.

Remember Jesus reading in the temple?

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Isaiah 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,

and that is where He quit reading,  because when He returned as Lord of lord and King of kings it WOULD BE

and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Isaiah 61:4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
