I just wonder what is the average believer supposed to do, not many have scholarly abilities, or the time and energy between raising children and trying to keep food on the table and a roof over the head.  Is the word of God over the head of little children that He says we are supposed to become like?

Look at your own life.   How long was it from possibly growing up in a Church environment, hearing people discussing the Word of God, and just basically being in a position of belief.   Then one day as you grew older, you had questions.   From that moment on you've been a [Student of God] like the rest of us who go through similar settings.

Those you worry about not knowing God's Word will have their own time when they will have their own questions and go to the Bible searching.

This is just the progression from going in life as Believer to one day becoming a Student of God.

God made sure we all go through this.

Just like You did, I have, and those still who don't understand God's Word, there is a time coming when they will become the "Student."

Amen.  Being taught by the Lord.....weaned from the milk of "mother church" and learning to eat strong meat.

As far as our common salvation, sister---it is simple and the Lord gives the Light that each one needs. That is of primary importance. I share with you a 'spaghetti head'.

The Lord knows--He is after all, the Great Shepherd. If we are taught that He cares for us and that we are securely in His hands--all storms can be ridden out.

God Bless and keep you as I am convinced He is.

Thank you brother.....looking forward to the day when we will no longer be looking through a glass darkly!  In the meantime I wonder how much does God need us to be intellectual anyhow, when His strength is perfected in our weakness.  Blessed are you who know your need...of Him.

I for one and mighty glad of it.

I am encouraged we have agreement in these regards, Heleadethme.

But the salient matter is veracity of premise everything will be shaken until no more shaking can further occur. Upon critical examination of scripture that proves not to be an accurate reflection of scripture. We agree caution with scripture and illumination should be taken and not liberties. Good.

Apply the caution to the stated premise. Shaking does not occur all the time everywhere in perpetuity and much of what the prophets spoke has come and gone......according to the scriptures as the Holy Spirit has revealed and illuminated them.

Heb 12:27

And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made (temporal/earthly), that those things which cannot be shaken may remain (spiritual/heavenly).

Well I will just share this with you brother, iron sharpening iron.  What has been will be again, there is nothing new under the sun....that is one key the Lord taught me in understanding scripture...so expect to see at least a second repeat of a pattern, so to speak.  Another key is that He speaks to us in parables, so expect to see lots of allegory.....and a third key is that "one thing you have spoken, two things have I heard, that you o Lord are great"...meaning He is great in the Spirit, He speaks to us in spirit, saying more than one thing at the same time, or speaking on more than one level at the same time.   There are things that can't be taught by man, we must learn them from the Lord...we need ears to hear what the SPIRIT is saying....and we learn more as we grow more and everyone is in a different place in their growth.

Who can fathom the Lord?  We really can't.  We are just not sufficient of ourselves.  But I believe we should approach His word the way His word says to, not the way man tendeth to.  His ways and His thoughts are higher than man's.  The Lord just can't be contained in the boxes of our making.  We in our humanity tend to want everything wrapped up neatly and tied with a bow with our methodologies (because it makes us feel in control for one thing) but He just won't be confined that way.  He wants to lead us out of our comfort zones and that takes faith and trust in Him, in His keeping power.

Yes, as long we are relying on Him.  The flesh profits nothing.

And you think that is what God is saying in the scriptures?

Just wanting to make sure I am understanding you correctly. You take the word "fire" literally." You take the mention of the source, the sun, literally. Do I understand you correctly?

If so, would it be correct of me to understand you as a rule take prophecy literally wherever possible?

That is three questions.

Where a literal application is possible, yes I do. But for things like 7 headed monsters; no, I don't.      Common sense and logic are required.

The fact that the Lord will send fire to destroy His enemies on His Day of vengeance and wrath, is comprehensively prophesied. He used water the first time, a natural substance and the next time it will be fire. From the heavens, the sun; Isaiah 30:26-30, Psalms 11:4-6, 2 Peter 3:7, +

When all the prophesies about the forthcoming Lord's terrible Day of wrath are considered, it is clear that a CME is the only thing that can fulfil them. He will instigate a CME of unprecedented magnitude, which will strike the Middle East at mid day and will wipe out all the ungodly peoples in that entire area. Zephaniah 2:4-5, Zephaniah 1:12-18, Ezekiel 30:1-5, Jeremiah 10:18, +  Only a remnant of Christian Jews will survive; Isaiah 6:11-13, Romans 9:27

The Spirit and the word agree.....He illuminates as well as connects dots, fills in gaps and gives life to God's word so that it gives life to us.

I agree up to a point with the rest....keeping in mind our reliance upon HIM and that we are to compare spiritual things with spiritual.  I just wonder what is the average believer supposed to do, not many have scholarly abilities, or the time and energy between raising children and trying to keep food on the table and a roof over the head.  Is the word of God over the head of little children that He says we are supposed to become like?  And what am I supposed to do.....the change of life has not been kind to me, and I have a head full of overcooked spaghetti......help me Lord, and I ask that with tears in my eyes.

Psa 131:1

[[A Song of degrees of David.]] LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

You are not alone, dear sister. What is the faith of a child?

Jesus Christ is here and His Spirit says, Come.

We believe Him as only a child could and so we run to Him. He will never turn us away nor cast us out. We trust Him as a child trusts that the sun will rise and we're comforted by Him during the darkness of night, just as a parent comforts their child who is afraid of the shadows. My peace I give to you and My peace I leave with you, the Holy One says, not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not be troubled nor afraid.

He is the God of the living, not the dead. The scriptures testify of this and much more and so a child believes that the Living One speaks here and now. His voice is not an echo graven in stone nor printed upon paper; those things only serve to testify of His glory without end. The Lord is pleased with the poor and contrite in spirit, those who tremble at every word spoken from His mouth. They are His children, the sons and daughters of God.

The Lord Almighty looks to the lowly as His resting place to the consternation of the wise, those who believe they have eternal life in the scriptures. It never occurs to them to run to the Son of the living God so they might have Life. They don't believe He is here.

Children do believe, so take heart because you're not alone, my friend. I'm an idiot so you're in good company.

Well, it's nice to meet you Idiot, my name is Dum-dum.  LOL!  :)  I think the Lord intends to make fools of us all.  By the time He got through with Moses in the wilderness Moses was denying he ever was a great man in Egypt...he wasn't lying, but it's because he came to realize that was never really his true self to begin with.   Life has a way of forcing us into certain molds, but our true self is still really a child who needs it's true Father.  In following Jesus He is leading us back to the Father....it is by Jesus that we come to the Father.

Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were first observed in 1971. Common sense dictates that such phenomena were unknown to the ancients whom the Lord inspired but they indeed knew about the Sun, evident to all on earth with the unaided eye. What therefore prevented the ancient from writing, "fire from the Sun?"

Your argument is fruit of the futurist tree, my friend. A futurist looks at the scriptures and bends them in order to fit their insular perspective in defiance of "common sense and logic."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
