The scriptures teach us that He is well able to keep them that are His and we know why. Because they are His and He won't lose one. No amount of misunderstanding or lack of knowledge will change that.

He took responsibility for us.

I was thinking how much their [Arm vs Calvin] own viewpoints have literally dictated several entire Organizations of Protestants?

Just incredible the influence 2 human men had on so many!

That is true of Arminius (and his disciples); but not true of Calvin.  Those whom some people call "Calvinists" are hardly ever followers of Calvin.  They simply believe what the Bible says about God's sovereignty in salvation, and have often not even read what Calvin wrote.

I get what you are saying and agree with it but as for this platform is it productive?

The same people have been arguing with each other for years as if nobody has changed anybody’s mind.

I see more disagreement than agreements and it hinders people from speaking the truth just to avoid the arguments. You almost can’t say what your favorite color is without someone disagreeing.

When I see a post I agree with I support it. When I see one I don’t agree with I may throw a verse in to see if it sheds light- and usually it does not- but all the back and forth bickering is really useless.

God will have his people no matter what. We may see people in a current state of confusion but that doesn’t mean they will stay that way. Even we were once lost and confused.

I am just glad I learned from the Bible and Gods spirit and not a place were people bicker constantly. I am thankful I had read alot of the Bible in the spirit before coming here.

Woe to the new in Christ trying to learn in this place. They will be pulled to and fro according to the most convincing penmanship and or the post with most support which does not mean it’s correct.

To the new in Christ I say get out of here and come back when God has settled you and you are sure what you believe no matter what anybody else says.

I believe God leads us to the truth.  I believe it needs to be found.  If it isn't put forth then the only thing out there is the lies.  If you don't think there is a concerted effort to obscure Gods truth then I don't know what to say.

Maybe a review of what God thought and did for those who 'have never drank wine', as commanded.  They are our enemies, and they are vigilant, and the realm Satan is most going to work is IN THE WORD.  We have to put on the gospel armor to withstand the fiery darts of Satan.  It's not a game it is a war.  God dresses us up as SOLDIERS.

BUT PLEASE, don't get me wrong, HE made some of us evangelists, ministers, teachers... many membered body,

ALL I am saying is that part may not be for you  but to make those who have been called to it FEEL like they are doing something wrong maybe needs to be thought about.  There are prayer pages and I think pages to cover which ever way one is led  on this forum.  I can't imagine posting something about those who get together and do prayer circles as 'not doing enough', because I believe that is just as necessary as anything else anyone does for God.

Boils down to
Either we put out the truth or only lies get put out.  It isn't easy being a Christian but it is Blessedly satisfying, peaceful and worthwhile and there is nothing on this earth that could be offered to me that I would exchange it for.  Hopefully this is read in the light of love, as that is all it is put forth in this morning.  God bless your journey...

actually, personally, its the opposite. I read, I see different sides, I pray, I look up scripture, I pray some more, I learn.

For those like me with no church to go to, this site is a God send for deeper study of scripture and learning more about God.

Many of my wrong ideas have been put right by the efforts of those 'arguing'. Even the one who I come to disagree with.

@Hopefully Thank you for posting this thread.  I have only been here for a bit over a month and within a few days was wondering what I had gotten myself into.  I have been on other forums before and lost interest mostly because of the scriptural disagreements and because those disagreements were way over my intellect.  I have always tried to be the peacemaker in my family so being a part of disputes are not for me.  I like to learn and understand what makes a person tick but and why they think as they do but in my experience arguing rarely solves the issue.  I believe that if the conversation does not edify the Lord and then does not bless my soul then it is probably not a topic the Holy Spirit would spur me on to be a part of.  Each person is called into the kingdom for a different purpose and for different people.  We learn and then we share with others not on this forum.

While reading through all of the posts here there were many I wanted to comment on but my comments were of a personal opinion and not really worthy.  My husband and I determined decades ago that we were not going to say everything we thought.  This has helped for almost 40 years!  I am trying hard to apply that same concept here.

Since I am so far from the surrounding and origins of this great debate, that seems to have lasted beyond Centuries, And my own Protestant roots did not indulge between the 2 idealism's, that I must take your word for it!

I do take your post as love. I do agree that God has called some to be warriors. I really did think before I made this post. I understand that not all will agree.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
