Viruses are freakishly small.  I have said before in another post, the wave length of blue light is larger than a virus.  Blue light is 400 nm, and a typical virus is just 24 nm.  The best n95  masks have 300 nm pores. 

You cannot even see a virus under a lighted microscope.   You can only see them under an electron microscope.

Yes, the SARS-CoV-2 virus is very small. If they were somehow spread individually - without any carrier - from the respiratory system, then the size of the virus would be relevant. But they are released from infected individuals through respiratory droplets. People have known this for over 1 year now. Please keep up with the truly relevant information.

Dr. Fauci was originally right about masks, and then went with the more political answer.  Even he could not come up with a good reason for the public to wear a mask for a while, except to say that to wear one was about 'respect.'

Dr. Fauci would seem to be in serious trouble with Congress concerning the funding the Wuhan lab, but politics might save his reputation yet.

Save his reputation from what/whom? Clearly not with those who have taken the time to research on their own.

Keep in mind that the virus itself is usually floating around on small drops of water  which are much larger than than the virus itself. The vast majority of the virus can be stopped by a mask if it is properly used.  And the anount of the virus that is present if one is infected makes a huge difference in how the body reacts and the sevirity of the infection.

I was waiting for this. Have you studied Fauci's credentials and history? THAT--is the guy we are discussing. Further, there was nothing new to learn regarding mask efficacy. All of a sudden, the CDC and the NIH and Fauci learned something new about masks and viruses.

I think it was Trump, and perhaps Rand Paul that first pointed out that the people who religiously wear masks were the ones getting the majority of positive Covid 19 tests.  At a minimum, except for the sake of ritual, the masks made no difference.  We have also known that for over a year.

I think that's truly relevant information.
