So why did the bible leave a lot of this detail out? If you have not watched the chosen it might be harder to answer this question. Thanks

Thanks It is because of when, where, and to whom the Bible was originally written. There was general knowledge that was understood and believed by the general public at the time the Bible was pinned. There wasn't really the need for the writers to fill in all the details, for everyone, at the time, pretty much knew them. So if we have lost that knowledge, that leaves some things unanswered by the Bible itself, and it gives way to some misinterpreting some scripture. Knowing the general cosmology of the time of the Bible being written would/could answer a lot of things that seem a little left out. Some here will not accept any outside scripture for anything, so it's kind of hard to talk with those folks.

Perhaps the Lord thought it was long enough, without adding a lot of details.

KJV in fact the spirit that comes to you and says different is not of God.... for what is important about knowing that which passes away: 1 John 2:17 17 And the world passeth away (and will not be remembered) , and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. KJV Isa 65:17 17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. KJV 1 Cor 13:8 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. KJV Rev 21:1-5 21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. KJV Even that which now exalts itself above God and suggests that His Word is insufficient in any regard will not be remembered in the eternity...

However, in His Wisdom God allowed the Qumran discoveries. Hmm... God speaks OUTSIDE the so-called 'canon' it seems! It is self evident. If we do not wish to listen due to pressure from the seminaries, that is ok. Many of us do anyway!
