I have been watching the tv series the chosen, and one of the angles of the series is to fill in details the bible doesn’t mention, details that might not necessarily be true but they give you a powerful emotional insight into things.

So why did the bible leave a lot of this detail out? If you have not watched the chosen it might be harder to answer this question.

Thanks

Find out about The Divine Council and the Deut 32 worldview. From scripture. It will inform where the church never teaches.

It is because of when, where, and to whom the Bible was originally written.   There was general knowledge that was understood and believed by the general public at the time the Bible was pinned.  There wasn't really the need for the writers to fill in all the details, for everyone, at the time, pretty much knew them.

So if we have lost that knowledge, that leaves some things unanswered by the Bible itself, and it gives way to some misinterpreting some scripture.

Knowing the general cosmology of the time of the Bible being written would/could answer a lot of things that seem a little left out.   Some here will not accept any outside scripture for anything, so it's kind of hard to talk with those folks.

The Bible is an awfully long book already. Perhaps the Lord thought it was long enough, without adding a lot of details.

The Bible has all that we need and more to believe and be transformed, if we are willing to pursue that.

All that was necessary to know God has given:

2 Tim 3:15-17

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
KJV

in fact the spirit that comes to you and says different is not of God.... for what is important about knowing that which passes away:

1 John 2:17

17 And the world passeth away (and will not be remembered) , and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
KJV

Isa 65:17

17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
KJV

1 Cor 13:8

8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
KJV

Rev 21:1-5

21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
KJV

Even that which now exalts itself above God and suggests that His Word is insufficient in any regard will not be remembered in the eternity...

I think God wants us to dig around in the pages of His Book to find the details.  973EC95F-69BC-4371-8F2D-6CDE812C116F.gif.f41f9bcb175cf99bc43065ffb42c0314.gif

This was quoted by church fathers in order to support Enoch and other writings that the fake canon excluded. However, in His Wisdom God allowed the Qumran discoveries.

Hmm...   God speaks OUTSIDE the so-called 'canon' it seems! It is self evident.

If we do not wish to listen due to pressure from the seminaries, that is ok. Many of us do anyway!
