Time is running out....

Quote

We have no time to lose. We know not how soon our probation may close. At the longest, we have but a brief lifetime here, and we know not how soon the arrow of death may strike our hearts. We know not how soon we may be called to give up the world and all its interests. Eternity stretches before us. The curtain is about to be lifted. But a few short years, and for everyone now numbered with the living the mandate will go forth: MH 454.2

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: ... and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” Revelation 22:11. MH 454.3

Revelation was nearly all completed in the first century.

The pre-mil disease has infected the church. It is just Darby and his false dispensationalism.

We look forward to the Resurrection and the end of the age. That is all.

Stop causing concern with false prognostication. Just do what the Lord said and MAKE DISCIPLES.. :)

No concern for me about your post. A life time is only a small drop in the bucket of eternity so I completely agree. Concerning the false prognostication, I see none in the post unless it is veiled somehow. At some point we need to stop nit-picking each other apart, right? I agree with  making disciples, and being ready for the Lords return, whenever that happens. Being found faithful when He returns.

Thanks Tammy for those words.

When looking at the endless span of eternity I think it's fair to relate everything here on this earth as it pertains to us as short. The older I get the more I see this to be true. I've been living where I am now for about 20 years. That amount of time seems almost like yesterday. When I consider another 20 years there are questions. Will I even be here by then? Maybe and maybe not. The cards are stacked against me. I see remaining time for me as very short indeed. If one of our readers happens to be raising children, in another 20 years you'll be old and your kids will most likely be out of the house. At the very least they will be grown men and women. If you just started high school or college you could potentially be married and have kids in that amount of time. In all of these cases when you look back it will seem the time has passed by very fast.

If we convince ourselves there's still plenty of time left we lie to ourselves. If God comes in your lifetime or if He doesn't we still have things to do before we meet our earthly end. Why were we told to be vigilant and watchful? To be spiritually on guard? Be ready to deal with offensive action against us?  Because in every age it's still going to hit the fan, just in different ways.

As Paul said , whether he lives or dies all is for Christ. He would rather be there but lives for Christ while he is here. We can't go wrong thinking like that.

What do you mean by "short"? How short? Please be specific. The op states we have no time to lose so I must ask is that intended to communicate some degree of urgency related to the "time is short"?  Time is short so we have no time to lose? If so, then what do you mean by "short"? I read Ellen White (co-founder of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, for those who do not know) being quoted to say, "At the longest, we have but a brief lifetime here..." Am I to read that to mean "time is short," and "time is running out" are intended to be understood as we have only this lifetime before the time runs out and the prophecies of Revelation come true? If not then do please clarify that. If so, then please tell me what you mean by "short". Please be specific. What does "short" mean?

Are you SDA, tammy?

Hi Josheb, I was raised SDA, but the church has gotten so liberal that I withdrew my membership.  My husband and I have had HOME-CHURCH for the better part of 40 years. :).

SHORT to me, means anything less than 100 years.  If you die tonight in a car wreck or have a heart attack, it's all over.  If you live til you are 100, that is SHORT, compared with ETERNITY. :)

Please explain with historical evidence (not your story) where and when did the 7 trumpets and 7 vials ever killed mankind.

I agree. Our life is like hourglass. When we are born, all the grain of sand are in the part above. Every second one grain falls. When the last grain falls, our expiration date is gone.

You have no idea how short the time is. Take a good look around you of the things going in the world today. It is blatant and right before our eyes. Its even at the door. You  cant read the New Testament and study it without seeing it stare us in the face like never before. So you we are to be READY. You might speak of times past but not anything like we see right now. Robots that are autonomous , genetics that alter DNA. The push for world unity  and government on a world scale. The world is like a ticking time bomb. War will not be just a gun show, but on the edge of total destruction. The world is become immoral and depraved crying there is no god, and don't forget who is the one behind the media and just how powerful it can be. Satellites now can invade your privacy knowing everything about you within seconds. Need I say more

Praise God using the time wisely and always for Him to share the gospel amen and amen. I think the simple fact Rev the last book that says  "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near." A book there is not much debate on when it was written around 95ad.

Praise GOD yes amen time is running out. Were just going to focus on Christ and lift our heads and watch for Him ;)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
