The question is do your wants to sin?

Ask Sha'ul. I will give you the same answer...

Romans 7:13-15

13Did that which is good, then, become death to me? Certainly not! But in order that sin might be exposed as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful. 14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am un-spiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

And because he now lives within us through the spirit, if you take him to work with you every day and let him be a part if everything you do you have a much better relationship with him than giving him one day a week.  And I do believe that is what Jesus and Paul was telling us.

Jesus doesn't want your full attention one day a week, he wants to walk with you through your whole life.  And I know that's possible for I've lived it for decades.

YeHoVah's Word does not come back void...

Thank you for sending us the Bible- ?, just to let you know it now takes both hands for me to pick up my iPhone??‍♂️.

I am sure many will disagree but I do not see this issue (the 10 or the Sabbath) as legalism. Nor do I view this as an ‘either or’ situation. And one important comment- these two discussion points will never be decided, bolstered, proven or justified by my opinion or interpretation; which is why I placed 3 quotes from Jesus in an earlier post. They can not or should not be ignored or thought to be subordinated by a writing from Paul or any one of His followers. The 3 quotes spoken by Jesus are brief, clear and to the point; they are not His suggestions or recommendations but His commands. The Father gave us the 10 on Mt. Sinai, and Jesus confirmed them on this side of the Cross. The Cross did not do away with sin - our failure to keep any one of the 10 (everyone sins daily and frequently...that will never stop). But Jesus provided us a way, the only way to pay the price for those sins.

The Tanahk is about Jesus taught through the lives of the Jews. The 10 are not the Jewish commandments and the Sabbath is not a Jewish Sabbath - they are both from God to man.

The 10 commandments CAN NOT be obeyed by man (Jew or Gentile, before or after the Cross), and they can not be done away with (by Jew or Gentile, before or after the Cross). But Jesus told us that His yoke is easy, and if we put our faith in Him we can rest in Him and He will send the Holy Spirit to help us in every way to defeat sin and follow Him - in our hearts. Only Jesus can lighten the burden of sin.

In 1 John 8, “If we confess we have no sin we deceive ourselves....” meaning, of course, sin abounds and continues on earth and that means the 10 commandments are very much not done away with... otherwise, there would be no more sin after the Cross.

To ME - Just my opinion, legalism is putting up 10 road signs everywhere we would drive (in town, in the country and every highway), always slapping us in the face demanding we stay within those laws - that would be impossible and a horrible daily experience, and they would not prevent anyone from breaking the law written on the sign posts.

But Jesus took all those sign posts down and placed them inside our car ( heart), and also placed His Holy Spirit in the passenger seat to remind us, warn us of upcoming danger, guide our journey and when necessary (most of the time), He will take the wheel (like in a driving school car where there is a second steering wheel on the passenger side) and show us how to drive and avoid danger (sin). He takes over if we let Him and our burden to try and obey those 10 street signs will be placed on Him - He will make the driving so much easier for us.

Sorry for the bad analogy but I hope some of it made some sense.

If I may continue with this a little bit further- to comment  specifically on the Sabbath...

The Holy Spirit in this illustration is always with us as we travel down the road. He will never leave us! However, every 7th day He will steer us to a well marked “rest area” to stop and turn off the car and meet with Jesus Himself. The Holy Spirit will guide us to this site because He knows the effects of driving 6 days a week has on us (even though He has been with us in the car each and every day). He has His own role to play in our journey to salvation. He also would never disobey God who created this “Holy rest area”.

Just my thoughts, Charlie

If you tell a lie enough times people will believe it.

The above quote is not true.  Tell Hitler this... Tell everyone living in the world today who have listened to every evil agenda that is being pushed...

Furthermore, legalism is not based on trusting and being faithful, but on [a misuse of] the text :YeHoVah's Word does not come back void...

question?

Romans 7:21-24 (NKJV)  I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.
Do you wish to do good?

Romans 7: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Are you warring against yourself ?

Paul is expressing his war with fleshly sin

in his mind he wants to do Righteousness, but his flesh wants to do sin

The war we all have between the spirit and the flesh

Galatians 5:17

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

That’s a decision for us to make

Belief in the Father and reliance on our guide the Holy Spirit ( which we can listen to or ignore) dictates who will win the war, our reward is waiting it’s promised to us, But you can choose to walk away or embrace it, the choice is ours

There is a reference that comes to mind:

Rom 8:37  Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
