I'd have to agree with Neb also, Yellowstone, when it goes will take a lot of things and people with it and pretty much ruin our sunny days for years.

An astroid would pretty much do the same.

The bird flue that I keep hearing is coming would be my third, for it will turn people against each other from fear of contact.

Called me paranoid... but I am terified of tornadoes.. I live in a part of this country(USA) where I only get the after effects of a hurricane.. I just experienced my first earthquake a few months ago.. it was freaky.. but we just thought it was my schools heating system... I dotn' have much of a fear of earthquakes and I only fear those hurricanes when they are down by florida..

Oh yes, Tsunami.. if i lived in that area that gets Tsunamis.. i woudl be afraid...

However.. even though I dont' live in an area where we get tornadoes often. I am terrified of them..... I saw one when I was 6 as we dropped my dad off at the air port.. it came within 10 miles of my house.. since which point.... I have a fear of every thunderstorm that there will be a tornado.. and I have had nightmares about these and everythign since I was little...

I am terrified of tornadoes...

I said other, because you never mentioned fire and that's what scares me the most.

My thoughts exactly. Being burned alive is the only way I would not want to die. I've lived through tornadoes and earthquakes. I even woken-up under inches of ashes from the Mount St. Helens eruption years ago. The supervolcano would be horrendous. With something like that that affects a whole country, it would be horrible because where could you go?

Fire is scary. Being crushed is also scary. But I do like to watch hurricanes and tornados. Earthquakes really do not scare me, as well as volcanos. I've been shook out of bed when I was in Alaska, as well as had ash dumped on me by Mount Spur. For me it's not really the event, it's where I'm at when the event happens. Go figure. :)

This poll came to me via email this morning and I was very surprised by some of the people's choices.  If you could, please explain why....

Me, I am affraid of water so, anything with water I would be affraid of.

There is no such thing as a natural desaster. The Lord is in charge of everything.

De 32

39 'Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.

Isa 45

7 I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things.'

Col 1

16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

Proverbs 1

24 Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,

25 Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke,

26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes,

27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.

28 "Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me. 29 Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord,

Luke 13

2 And Jesus answered and said to them, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? 3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

lived in tornado alley almost all my life..... i am the one that stays out and watches for them.... my brother reminded me that i was the one that would get on the roof to see if there was one around..... seen tails all around us at times, i watch as one passed right over the top of our house.....

huricanes..... was out watching the storm (David in 79) at the beach, and my friends and me were daring each other to drive thru the water as it was rushing over the road going back to the ocean..... needless to say, no one drove thru it...

inikki .... in hawaii, was outside most of the time during that storm,

winterstorms in Iceland, dec 14/15th 1986, we had over 104 knot ( wind speed indicator broke due to the winds) and higher.... not sure what the actual top wind speed was, watch as my car moved sideways down the parking lot from the wind.

again, i was in and out side,... had to check on the generators and other things...

earthquakes, well, being stationed in California, felt many of them, no telling how many we felt and they didnt even register...... they ( California, ) are having about two quakes an hour... so is Alaska......

Tsunami, never been thru one..... have been dumped hard while surfing and swimming.... have survived drowning twice ( once the Lord saved me and another time a navy seal saved me ).....

do I fear any of these???? no, I do have a healthy respect for these, but not fear...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
