Not some distant future event, the final battle/war is happening right now.

 

The times of the gentiles ended when Jerusalem was completely under the military control of Israel in 1967, Lk 21:24.

This ended the tribulation period which actually began when Babylon seized Jerusalem (head of gold, Dan. 2). The "great" tribulation period that Jesus spoke about was the second part of the times of the gentiles from 70 AD until 1967. 

The end of the times of the gentiles opens the door for the final events on this planet, as seen in the stone striking the statue of Dan 2.

As you have stated that you believe that the events of the Rev are parallel, which I agree with, it shows that Iran is the main army, crossing the Euphrates River to attack restored to Israel Jerusalem. (6th trumpet, 6th vial)

Russia and the other nations play a supporting role in this event.

The things that are happening now, the Russian attacks, the build up of arms around Israel, the failing support for Israel, are all leading to this final event of Jerusalem falling.

Once Jerusalem falls, the salt of the earth will be, gone. 

The thought is that once this present Jerusalem falls, that the children of Israel will not continue as a unique race, but will be absorbed into the gentile nations in a relatively short period of time, say 100 years. 

 

Yes, but the planet earth will not be gone until "heaven and earth fly away" at the last judgment of Rev 20.

The fire destroys all human life on this planet. 

 

The problem for many seems to be understanding the difference between the scriptures describing the 70 AD destruction of Jerusalem and the final destruction of earthly Jerusalem as seen at the 7th trumpet, the 7th vial, and the Rev 20 second resurrection.

Yes, Russia is preparing for war, but they are going to support Iran in the invasion of Israel.

The events that are happening now are leading up to the fall of Jerusalem and the end of human life on this planet.

I disagree that there are multiple resurrections seen in the bible, there will be one future time of resurrection of all on the last day, John 5:28-29, John 6:39-40, 1 Corinthians 15:23-24

I disagree that the events of the battle are happening now, (the man of sin/the beast) hasn't been revealed to the world 2 Thessalonians 2:3, nor have the two witnesses of Revelation 11:3-6 been seen bringing plagues, with these major events being prior to the final battle, that will be witnessed by the world

When the Beast and two witnesses have been revealed to the world, then I might consider the claims made

Yes, I agree, there are only 2 resurrections, Jesus is the first and the second is for salvation, Heb 9:28, 1 Cor 15:23-24.

The man of sin has been revealed as Caesar who destroyed 70 AD ish Jerusalem and the Bishop of Rome.

Both are the leaders of the iron nation of Dan. 2 and the 4th beast of Dan. 7.

The confusion comes from believing that the 7 times are 7 years, which they are not. The 7 times equal the times of the gentiles, the same time span as the statue in Dan.2.

The time span of the 7 times is shown by the angel in Dan. 12:7 who says that it will be 3 1/2 times until the great scattering of Israel in 70 AD, centuries, not 3 1/2 years.

The second 3 1/2 times is from 70 AD until 1967 when Jerusalem is restored to military control of Jerusalem, completing the 7 times and the time span of the Dan. 2 statue. Centuries, not 7 years.

The 2 Witnesses are the faithful Christians who fled into the gentile nations in the 70 AD ish time period.

They are now witnessing in restored Jerusalem.

The vision in Zech 4 shows that the witnesses are the children of Israel who hold the scriptures, the Law and the Prophets, the 2 witnesses of Jesus and Israel.

They have been recognized by many, but the revealing has been clouded by the RCC.

Understand, that the Antichrist and the iron nation of Dan. 2 are many Caesars and Bishops of Rome over centuries, not one person in a literal 7 year period.

Caesar is revealed to Israel as the Antichrist when he destroyed 70 AD ish Jerusalem.

But understand that the iron nation of Dan. 2 and the 4th beast of Dan. 7 change form over the centuries as shown by the original beasts changing form over time in to 10 nations.

So it is not the original Caesar that is destroyed by the brightness of His coming, but the changed form beast that exists at the end of centuries.

God`s word tells us that Russia will be brought down to the land of Israel by God in the latter years.  (Ez. 38: 16)

I believe what we are seeing today with Russian troops outside the Ukraine is but the  preliminaries.

Ezekiel 38:15 “Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army. ... 39:17 “And as for you, son of man, thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Speak to every sort of bird and to every beast of the field:
“Assemble yourselves and come;

20 You shall be filled at My table with horses and riders...

Rev. 19:17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, 18 that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them..."

These things are a long way off yet. They take place at the very end of God's Wrath, not the beginning. At the time of the 7th Bowl, when there are no more mechanical vehicles, because of the prior destructions during the Seals and the Trumpets. So people will go back to riding on horses.

Birds don't eat motor vehicles, and Russia at this time does not ride on horses.

A teaching that defines a time when no more usable vehicles are seen on earth, and the world reverts back to horses?

Will modern weapons of warfare disappear also, seeing the earth revert back to wooden shields, bows, arrows, and spears?

You got me a little confused. Are you trying to say that a non-literal Satan, is literally bound for a non literal 1000 years?
