1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 without any snipping

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

 

 

It looks like rapture too me.

Those who wish for a 'rapture', a Spiritual relocation have the right to believe such a thing.  What is very apparent in all the Prophesies, is that there is no group going to heaven. A transportation, yes; similar to what happened to Philip. Acts 8:39

However rapture belief or a belief, as I have; of an amazing future for His faithful people here on earth,  is not a Salvation issue. It we believe in Jesus and accept His Salvation, we will receive Eternal Life. John 3:16

And when things start to happen; we must Call upon His Name and we shall be saved.   Joel 2:32, Acts 2:21, Psalms 116:4,+

Yes, that is correct and the word is true.  There is a difference between the dead in Christ rising and those who have never seen death being caught up.  These are connected and sequenced.  The rapture is the catching up of those who have never and will never see death.

It's a rapture alright, at the second coming of Jesus Christ, at the last day resurrection (The End)

The Bible does not tell us that we will be taken to live in heaven.  It is false teachers who say that. 1 Timothy 6:2b-6

The scripture clearly teaches that all will be tested by the Lords last day judgement by fire, yes the human body will be burned up and die, however it will be in the twinkling of an eye

The wicked will be caught in this fire for eternity, the lake of fire

Ah, the changed, incorruptible, immortal spiritual body . . .

It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.  (44)  It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Yes the dead in Christ will be raised, and the living in Christ will be caught up, changed in the twinkling of an eye, death is swallowed up in victory, as the glorified eternal body is received, eternity begins
