I tried to get an answer to these in another thread, but they were brushed aside. To be fair, they were not the topic, so I have started a new topic here. For those who have the courage of their convictions, they may answer. Others may choose not to, and that is fine. Since Jesus is the most central topic (it I were to rank them in order of importance - my opinion) from Genesis to Revelation, it might be beneficial to note some of the more noteworthy claims that have been made about him.

It might me better if this were in the theology section, and it may well get moved there, but for now it will start here. I extend a special invitation to @DaDaBro , since it was in a thread of his that this came up, but anyone is welcome to participate. Mind you, there are some meaty issues here that some will take objection to and tempted to debate vigorously, that is okay, but please, if you are a Christian (any of you, and you do not have to be to participate) then take Peters' words to heart in your responses:

15but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, 16having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. 17For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.

The questions I posed concerning the person of Jesus are:

1 Is Jesus of Nazareth the Messiah?

2 Was Jesus born to a virgin Jewish woman?

3 Did Jesus live a sinless life?

4 Did Jesus eat meat?

5 Did Jesus assist men in catching 'innocent' fishes?

6 Did Jesus give up His life to die a gruesome death where His innocent blood was shed for the salvation of those who have sinned against God?

7 Did Jesus after dying, lie in a grave (tomb) and then days later, rise from the dead in a body?

8 Did Jesus ascend to the right hand of God where all judgment has been given to Him?

9 Will Jesus come again to earth?

10 Did Jesus participate in the creation?

11 Did Jesus exists as the Word of God in the beginning who came to the world to live and die as a man we know as Jesus of Nazareth?

Feel free to pass on 4 and 5, they were relevant in the original thread where these questions were asked.

What do you all think?

On questions 1-11: Yes!

If you do not hearken to the Word of the LORD you will not hearken to me. You want a yes or no, just so they cut my tongue. And there is no point in responding, if you reject the Law of the LORD so will you reject anything I say.

Ezekiel 3:7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.

You don't want to know the answer.

Fish For Everyone:

Mat 15:34  Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven, and a few little fish."
Mat 15:36  And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitude.

Are all answered by a reading of the new testament or by talking with your pastor.

It would help if you explained why you were asking these questions.

Well, I am not asking, because I a curious about Jesus, it is just an opportunity for others to express what they believe, be counted, and for some (perhaps watching, not participating) to learn.

People have differences of opinions. Sometimes the opinions lead to divisions.

These are very simple questions to answer. The answer to every single one of them is YES. If you need scripture for any of them,  please let me know. God Bless.

It's not "just because they breath air" that is not what it says.

Ecclesiastes 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

-It is because of their "spirit", the living soul from the Father, the source of all life

There is a potential problem here, not unique to this thread, but since I see it here, I will address it here.

I think we all know, that when we quote a scripture, and leave out the context, it can seem to say something it is not trying to say. The same thing can occur where we quote each other. For the sake of illustration, I am going to use a recent example from this thread. Consider the following screenshot:

srnsht1.jpg.2de0ddae79f154fddf09584361088c64.jpg

Notice that OneLight is quoted as saying:

"just because they breath air means He blew life into them as He did man."

It is absolutely true the Onelight said that, that is an accurate quote. One could read that and conclude that OneLight is alleging that if an animal breathes air, then God breathed a spirit into the animal, just as God breathed a spirit into man.

While that is an accurate quote, it is NOT a complete quote, it is missing context. Following we see more of the context:

srnsht2.jpg.c80983eb22a7c133fd41016d597bbeca.jpg

There above, you can see the full quote of what OneLight said. He was not making the point that God gave animals a spirit just as He did man, OneLight is saying that he understand DaDaBro to be making that assertion in earlier posts.

Now, if the full context had been given, then people can see what is really being said. Using a truncated quote, can easily lead to false conclusions.

Let's be careful in our quoting of others and of scripture to include enough to see what is being said. We do not need misunderstandings.

I need to point out, that I am NOT saying the DaDaBro did anything malicious or deceptive here, it could just be a case of not taking the time to do the best he could have done.

I hope all of this is clear, and we can learn some lessons.

While I am at it, I want to say also, that when I created this thread, I knew there would be some contention. I think that it is just our fallen human nature, that wherever there is truth, there will be objections to it, and lack of understanding. Let's try to minimize that. Clarity can help a lot!

Finally, I would like to say that although there is some disagreement about the things in this thread ( as I knew there would be), that people have done a good job at keeping level heads and being courteous and respectful. Thank you!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
